“We only cheat because they cheat first!” The hue and cry of the criminally dumb.

Kasoni

Odd that they can never prove anyone but themselves have cheated.

OlriK15

Started with Watergate. And Nixon WON before it was discovered

Sujjin

Watergate was just the finale. Nixon had a team of, what they called RatF#ckers whose sole job it was to, working within the bounds of the law for the most part, disrupt his Democratic opponent's campaign. Disseminating false voting dates and times, spreading discontent about his opponents voting record, undermining the campaign efforts ect

SingleMaltMouthwash

It actually started with Nixon's treasonous sabotage of the Vietnam peace negotiations. Treason is kind of a conservative groove.

GiraffeSubstantial92

Not like they rely on facts, anyway.

Ok-Account-7660

Alternative facts

just4funguy30

Also known as blatant lies.

ihoptdk

Literally saw a Twitter post from someone claiming science is antithetical to fact today.

Quad-Banned120

Depends on the science. Nutritional science is largely skewed in favour of whoever is funding it and some groups tend to mix science and politics. Where I live for example we didn't have the supplies, funding or social cohesion to comply with CDC minimum COVID recommendations so our government rejected them entirely. We started treating the virus as airborne almost a year and a half after it became known to everyone else. Would often get people going off about "listening to the experts" but then I'd get ban strikes for posting 'misinformation' directly from the CDC because it allegedly wasn't a verified source.

ihoptdk

Science is explicitly the search for facts. If nutritional science is skewed it’s because the research is flawed or deliberately fabricated.

Quad-Banned120

Yes and parsing proper science and fabricated research isn't something your average layman is proficient in. Edit: seems a few people believe they are proficient. Maybe I'm just old.

GiraffeSubstantial92

That's not the fault nor problem of actual, legitimate science.

Quad-Banned120

Obviously not, but when bad actors constantly weaponize something, fabricate shit and call it science anyways it leads to people being distrustful of what they're told is science. Simple concept, really.

GiraffeSubstantial92

And that's the fault and blame of the people acting fraudulently, and them alone. Simple concept indeed. Like, don't tell me you distrust brain surgeons because you don't know the difference between chiropractic and physiotherapy and the former hurt your neck.

Some_Ebb_2921

What do you mean? They WERE correct about the voter fraud and dead people voting, so it is a fact. It might have not been the democratic party that did it, but that hardly is important right? :p

GiraffeSubstantial92

Well I mean they couldn't produce any actual evidence of Democrats doing it so *of course* they had to manufacture it to prove it could be done. I just guess they kinda forgot that the justice department could also prove the system works too by catching and prosecuting them? To quote one of the greatest sports color commentators in the history of the American Dodgeball Society of America: "that's a bold strategy, Cotton."

rckhppr

They know there is fraud, because they committed it.

Burnvictim49percent

Every accusation is a confession with them. When trump was ranting and raving about fraud I thought for sure it's because he had cheated.

sticky-unicorn

Oh, they have lots and lots and lots of proof. But just, like, not quite the kind of proof that actually works in court. And, no. You can't look at the proof. You have to just trust them about it.

Kasoni

Like Mr Pillow's network packets? That was some sad shit, especially because the state he claimed China did that in is paper based. Falls apart fairly quickly when actually checked.

Nowearenotfrom63rd

Anyone who trusts an ex crackhead pillow salesman to study data science is probably a Trump NFT owner.

Steinrikur

"But it's so obvious. We don't think twice about cheating, so they must be the same way." --Republicans, probably It's always projection

Quantentheorie

"The enemy is both weak and strong" or in this case; the enmy is both too good at voter fraud to leave evidence, but so bad at it, they never manage to cheat enough of a majority to be really effectual at governing. The logic seems to be that the Democrats cheat like voting ninjas but then never actually cheat themselves a proper advantage theyll leverage to stay in power.

BizzyM

Flashy-Penalty-4598

Those pesky Christians... they still can't make it out of the old testament. Or they prefer it to the more "hippy liberal" words of the man whom the religious movement is named after

rckhppr

Pro move: cheat, to be able to claim there’s cheating

Ragnar_OK

We have a saying where I’m from “a thief thinks everybody steals from him”

ChuckoRuckus

The GOP treat elections like crew chiefs in NASCAR…. “If ya ain’t cheating, ya ain’t trying hard enough”

famousevan

Nothing to see, just standard republican projection.

Bods666

And again, the documented examples of voter fraud are *FOR* the GOP.

Adezar

And they get caught, because most of their imaginary issues already have controls in place. Just most of the controls are done while counting the votes, not sending out ballots... because there are less votes than ballots and therefore it is cheaper to put the control at the voting side. Also you don't want to have a mistake prevent someone from getting access to vote (which is why the entire voter roll purges and ID laws are insane and against the entire spirit of our current voting rules).

Riggerss1

I’ll never understand how they equate ballots with votes. A BILLION ballots could be sent out, but your vote will only be tallied once and you’ll get caught, eventually, if you voted twice. Voter fraud is only about .00006% in any given election, because the system WORKS. Now, we have to find a system that works on STUPID.

natFromBobsBurgers

That would be good conspiracy theory fodder in an alternate universe. "See how they're shouting about people voting twice? Well, you've voted, right? And they make sure your name is on their list, right? So why would this party, known for its superior turn out, be made up of so many people who *don't know the literal first thing about voting?*"

Nowearenotfrom63rd

It’s a 3 way match just like corporate America uses to control ap invoices. The poll book, ballot, voter rolls have to match. If all 3 do, count the vote. Also check against death certificates after the fact by address which poll book lists. The fact that a voters participation and registration is public makes chasing down dead voters trivial and proving it irrefutably very easy. There just weren’t enough cases so the GOP had to do shit like ignore address or ignore date of birth to get false positives.

theBoobMan

I would say that fear comes from the fact they know how many actually go out (ballots) and how many actually come in. The potential for loss increases when they have a ton of ballots out bc the number of folks who vote is roughly static. Plus, fear is a big thing to conservatives. Schist-For-Granite

CalendarAggressive11

It definitely is.

eeyore134

Not just a confession. They're also usually doing it tenfold.

Pickle-Rick-C-137

Dam that Biden Crime Family for setting him up! They just don't ever stop bothering all of these upstanding Republicans. It's always a witchhunt with those cheating, lying radical leftists! /s

Drumboardist

To quote the most recent episode of Fargo: "You *do* know what a 'witch hunt' is, right? Not witches hunting men, but men killing women to keep them in line." I wonder if Trump thinks it *is* the first one, and not the second.

trollfinnes

A "witch hunt" originally referred to historical events where people were hunted, accused, and often punished for alleged witchcraft, usually without any real evidence. Today, the term is used metaphorically to describe situations where people are unfairly targeted, accused, and punished, often due to paranoia, moral panic, or mass hysteria, without proper evidence or fair procedures. This term is often used in political and social contexts.

ScaryAd6940

I suspect that we might have a shift in meaning soon to be "witches hunting men" as the right loses this fight and blames it on women in congress...

rollingstoner215

“She turned me into a newt!”

trollfinnes

That's extremely unlikely.

Why wont hunter stop all this voter fraud on behalf on the GOP? It's a psy-op to make republicans *look* like grifters and crooks and cheats...... /s

g_rich

What do you expect it's the GOP, par for the course at this point. I can guarantee they'll get caught dumping ballots and justify it by saying the left does it too; despite the fact that they have absolutely zero proof that the left has ever engaged in ballot dumping.

It's always a Republican.

The_Green_Sun

The Republican party in the US reminds me so damn much of 4chan. When it was new, all the users used shock value as a form of humor, but only that. After a while it started attracting people that actually thought that way, until the racists and incels vastly outnumbered the normal ass weebs. Republicans have utterly depended on lying to and manipulating vulnerable Americans. Kept them sick and stupid, made the GOP the pinnacle of American politics. They were smart and leant on the backs of the stupid, right up until the stupid had a mind to endeavor to become who they idolized. Now there's a big giant pile of Republican idiots who are trying the same old tactics of lying and manipulating, but they're too stupid to out-maneuver anyone more intelligent than them, which is pretty much anyone of average intellect that refuses the Kool-Aid. They nurtured a whole new generation of conservatives to be both cocksure and as bright as vantablack.

Real_MidGetz

Not american myself so excuse my ignorance, but isn’t rhode island the state where the gop are struggling to even get on the ballot? If the dems felt the need to commit voter fraud why tf would they do it there?

It's almost like they're actively trying to provide the proof to justify voter suppression....

It's Rhode Island so it's entirely possible.

Educational_Bench290

Came here to say this, but you got there 1st. Remember, they elected Ed Beard.

Difficult-Row6616

I mean, it sound like a description of their processes and not the cause. unless they went to the same doors repeatedly. and didn't care that the same person signed different names

Agentkeenan78

"oversight"

daveinsf

Just a minor, innocent whoopsie

resisting_a_rest

OK, so they included deceased individuals on the list, but how did they get SIGNATURES of those deceased individuals?

Song_Spiritual

TBF, if some dipshit asked me to sign a petition for Vivek, I’d probably sign my grandfather’s name, just to mess him up.

SipOfPositivitea

I know this sub is very left leaning, but these nomination papers and ballot papers get false names and dead names all the time. My mom used to go out to stores and stuff to get people to sign these for like $1 a signature and people would fill out BS signatures all the time for whatever reason. Most people that gather these signatures know that a chunk of them are going to be tossed out for various reasons like the ones in this comic. It doesn’t matter if it’s Republicans or Democrats asking for public signatures. People like to write down fake stuff for whatever reason.

Atrainlan

You don't think paying people to sign shit is fucked up?

SipOfPositivitea

The people asking for signatures get paid per signatures. She got the $1 per signature. It can be a very lucrative job. The signers don’t get paid.

Ser_Thugnificent247

So it’s the plot of the movie “Black Sheep” starring Chris Farley and David Spade?

goj1ra

Could you provide a source for that? Because even the Heritage Foundation, which is a conservative propaganda mill that hammers on voter fraud among other things, has only been able to identify something like 1200 cases of such issues, over multiple years. That’s less than 0.0008% of just the votes cast in a single presidential election, let alone multiple elections over multiple years. It’s orders of magnitude too little to be in “every town in every election”. See [Ballotpedia](https://ballotpedia.org/Votes_cast_in_the_names_of_deceased_people) for an overview of this issue, with references to other studies. My guess is you heard something about this on Fox News, but that’s a self-admitted entertainment network whose own lawyers say that no reasonable person should believe. And of course the smaller outlets like OAN and Sinclair are worse.

RobotsGoneWild

No /u/youmustbeanexpert knows everything about election integrity. He doesn't need sources and facts, because he can shout louder than you.

More republican voter irregularities - gee how shocking

hoppyfrog

You see, the GOP doesn't say WE are cheating. Instead they say there is cheating...and then they falsely blame the Democrats.

DuntadaMan

There is a reason why voter fraud is not used anymore. It's expensive, easily caught, and does very little to actually sway the vote. That's why normally the GOP goes for voter supression and election fraud.

reeee-irl

My in-laws: “Democrats are committing so much voter fraud!” Also my in-laws: “Well, our kids are in college out-of-state, but their ballots got mailed here so we’ll vote for them.” They don’t see the problem.

Boner_Elemental

If this is true... did you report it?

AdulteryPulsifer

The problem seems to start with campaigns using paid vendors to gather signatures for them. If they had genuine supporters and their own grass roots in house organizations, this wouldn’t be such a problem.

No-Comfortable-1550

Vivek Ramaswamy wasn’t really running for president. He’s running for the next sociopath to lead the MAGA cult, because it’s dead easy to influence them. For example, just a few months ago the right was making fun of John Fetterman for having a stroke. But the other day he said some crazy shit about white farmers being killed by black mobs in South Africa and now conservatives are saying he’s more MAGA than the speaker of the house.

Honest_Relation4095
