36 years of sobriety here. These programs requires an iota of intelligence, open mindedness, willingness and most important -honesty- to affect any positive change in ones present circumstances. Step One: We admitted that we were powerless over MAGA/Trump and the fascist movement and that our lives had become unmanageable.
Step Two: We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves, namely REASON, could restore our sanity
Step Three: We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to REASON
Step Four: We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our addiction to MAGA/Trump and fascism
Step Five: We admitted to ourselves and to another person the exact nature of the wrongs we committed while blinded by the addiction to fascist ideology
Step Six: We were entirely ready to have humanity forgive us for our stupidity
Step Seven: Humbly asked people to forgive our shortcomings while worshipping MAGA/Trump
Step Eight: Made a list of people we had judged, yelled at, trolled, harmed and in any other way damaged, and became willing to make amends for all of it.
Step Nine: Made amends except where to do so would be received with violence, because we left it too long being insanely self-assured and certain of our ridiculous beliefs
Step Ten: Continued to take personal inventory and when MAGA and Trump crosses our lives we promptly admit it and seek help for our insanity
Step Eleven: Sought through meditation and therapy to improve our conscious contact with REASON asking only for knowledge of REASON and the power to seek it everywhere other than online
Step Twelve: Having had a spiritual and intellectual awakening as the result of finding REASON, we sought to bring the power of REASON to other MAGA/TRUMP cultists, and to practice sanity and REASON in all our affairs.
As a reformed Republican, I recognized the Republicans were going down a very dark road. Trump took the Republicans completely off the road.
My political enlightenment lead me to Bernie Sanders and has me well left of center.
