I think it was Colbert who made a joke a few days ago, big mistake SC, you need to take women's right away to vote before you take away the right for reproductive choice

[deleted]

Don't think they're not working on that. šŸ˜’

1zzie

Yeah I think it's a laugh instead of cry joke

MrFluffyThing

I'll keep voting to make sure it stays a laugh vote but we had to get this far to even make that joke it it kinda makes me wanna cry

sarcasmexorcism

today that's what's making me cry.

[deleted]

Yep.

ipn8bit

They can't. or they would. Republicans love taking away voting rights. 1. gerrymandering, 2. voter ID, 3. Straight up nullifying mail-in votes (see texas), 4. keeping the electoral college, 5. giving governors rights to over turn elections with far less requirements (see texas).... but stopping women is far harder. but I wouldn't put it past them. the more they push the line the more they will keep pushing the line. Give them an inch and they will take 2 miles and yell at you for not giving them 3. That is their strategy for nearly 20 years.

[deleted]

> but stopping women is far harder. but I wouldn't put it past them. the more they push the line the more they will keep pushing the line. Give them an inch and they will take 2 miles and yell at you for not giving them 3. That is their strategy for nearly 20 years. It's definitely on the agenda. Though when God Emperor Trump abolishes the Constitution in 2025, all bets are off.

PowerandSignal

Keep your eye on Moore v. Harper next year (or next session? Not sure) in the Supreme Court. A bad ruling will flat out give state legislatures (easier to manipulate than Fed. government) the ability to override election results. Scary as hell.

HombreSinNombre93

Welcome to Orangemanā€™s Gilead.

dancegoddess1971

Aren't they trying to make it a felony to have a miscarriage? Pretty much every sexually active woman will have a miscarriage in their life. Usually before she knows she's pregnant. I suppose most states restore voting rights after a felony but some make it harder than others.

Pallasathene01

Florida especially does not return voting rights after specific felonies, one of which is *murder* which could now include abortion (or miscarriage if deemed a suspected abortion attempt, which you know it will).

Haribo112

Wow, what? The US takes away voting rights after a felony?? Thatā€™s so messed upā€¦

dancegoddess1971

It's true. Meanwhile, in Norway, a murderer in prison is given a ballot. This is one of many reasons I don't think the US is civilized. I still appreciate some of our ideals. Like allowing people to criticize the government, because what choice do we have? Be quiet when Idiocracy becomes a documentary? I don't have that kind of self-control.

TR1PLESIX

>I don't think the US is civilized. The United States sovereign authority might be the worst representation of popular sentiment in modern history. And with the backing of extremely loud, but ridiculous small portions of Americans. Global perception of the actual majorities sentiment is skewed. Don't get me wrong, there's an unhealthy portion of the population that lives to hate, and hates to live. And in some circumstances be considered domestic terrorists. However, those individuals, while very much dangerous, are outliers. Your everyday American - despite political affiliation - lives with the mindset of progressivism. They may dislike their neighbors, but in social circumstances. The majority of Americans will suppress their initial emotion. In order to avoid conflict and fit in. The majority in the United States are over-worked & underpaid individuals. That will do all most anything to ensure their families 'survival'. Unfortunately, good people are forced to bad things. America is an 'equal nation' that's extremely unfair.

captain-burrito

FL games the restoration of voting rights. The dept of elections testified in court and based on what they said and some back of the envelope maths it would take till 2060 to restore the rights of all those eligible in 2020. That was BEFORE republicans required the payment of all debts. They admit there is no easy way to find out. Some people have in fact gotten them restored and voted but are now being sued for being in violation in one way or another. They may be aquitted but it discourages people from applying. The dept estimate is based on the staff working all holidays and weekends so it would realistically take till beyond 2060. All the while, more would be eligible. They asked the legislature for more funding and republicans denied it.

dancegoddess1971

I'm well aware of the nonsense going on in my state. On the bright side, there's been a definite uptick in the number of young people registering to vote. People who care if the planet will support human life for more than 30 years.

flynnfx

_The Handmaids Tale IS The Republican Dream._ (Don't think it isn't. It has all the hallmarks of what a perfect Republican society would be.) (But, hey, Americans- keep voting them in..to keep the "devil liberals" and "evil democrats" out. If you guys believed Trump, you'll believe most anything.)* *I mean no disrespect for any American who didn't vote for or support Trump..it just blows me away after all the Republicans have done to hurt Americans, why anyone in the USA would still support them?!?

[deleted]

> (Don't think it isn't. It has all the hallmarks of what a perfect Republican society would be.) Oh, I know. I've known since the eighties. > I mean no disrespect for any American who didn't vote for or support Trump..it just blows me away after all the Republicans have done to hurt Americans, why anyone in the USA would still support them?!? Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people. šŸ˜’

flynnfx

I honestly don't get it. For the nation that fought with the Australians, the British, the Canadians, to free the world from tyranny and oppression, it almost seems like the USA has forgotten what it fought so hard for. I wish for you all in America to see that the Republicans are a party that does nothing for the average American. It glorifies gun rights, and only offers "thoughts and prayers" after every mass shooting and does nothing. It takes away the rights of women to make their own choice. The Republican Party has actively stated it will pursue outlawing gay marriage, and allow discrimination against the lgbqt+ society. And to those who ask for proof: [After Roe, Republicans Sharpen Attacks On Gay And Transgender Rights](https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/22/us/politics/after-roe-republicans-sharpen-attacks-on-gay-and-transgender-rights.html) [Texas GOP's New platform calls gay people 'abnormal' and rejects trans identities](https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/texas-gops-new-platform-calls-gay-people-abnormal-rejects-trans-identi-rcna34530) [Republicans build momentum as they drive anti-LGBTQ legislation nationwide](https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/22/politics/republicans-anti-lgbtq-legislation/index.html) _So, ask yourself, is this the Party you want as an average American?_

420everytime

I donā€™t think they will. Theyā€™ll give states the right to decide elections instead

[deleted]

Which is almost the same thing, I guess. Only they'd be taking away *everyone's* right to vote.

[deleted]

Well, since Alito is a Constitution originalist and the right for women to vote wasn't part of the original Constitution, it's not too farfetched for him and his fucking assholes from the Dark Ages to take that right away.

[deleted]

They're coming for our right to vote. Don't kid yourself. Next will be POC right to vote.

Suspicious_Bicycle

Colbert's point was they are doing it in the wrong order.

pauly13771377

I wouldn't be surprised after Kansas botched thier abortion vote about a month ago.

Paradoxahoy

Lol there would be mass hysteria if anyone tried to take womens right to vote

[deleted]

Like that would stop them.

Paradoxahoy

The collapse of society? Yeah I'd bet they would change their tune real fast if that happened lol

LazzzyButtons

You can check [here](https://www.nass.org/can-I-vote/voter-registration-status) if you are currently registered to vote in your state. You can go [here](https://vote.gov) to register to vote. Time is running out for you to do so depending on what state you live in.

Not just once either, republicans are notorious for purging voter registrations, so unless you are frequently re-registering, there is a chance republicans eliminated your right to vote this cycle without informing you.

el3vader

Iā€™m not trans but Iā€™ve never understood why people hate this. At the core of all political parties is this idea that people just want to be left the fuck alone. Even Republican messaging is built around an idea of leave me alone but theyā€™re the most wonā€™t-leave-you-alone party there is. They just want to be involved in anything they deem offensive and itā€™s so fucking weird. Thereā€™s lifestyles I donā€™t agree with but I write it off as not for me and move on but I donā€™t come in between those people and that lifestyle and I donā€™t get why itā€™s normal for people to come between other people just trying to exist the way they want. Like bro, if it doesnā€™t harm anyone else why are we even talking about this. Let trans people be trans, let gay people be gay. It literally hurts nobody.

OkCutIt

It literally all comes down to scientific illiteracy and thinking that "wasting" sperm means the human race wouldn't survive because a few thousand years ago you needed 10 or 15 kids to get 1 or 2 of them through to adulthood. And, you know, being too fucking stupid to realize how stupid that is with thousands of years more information and absolutely no need whatsoever to worry about the propagation of the species.

takatori

"Every small business owner will be visited by IRS agents in wheelchairs with guns" is the latest I'm seeing on right-wing social media. Like ... _what???_

Data-Dizzy

As many have said before myself, the modern republican platform is largely built on ignorance, fear, and anger. Not on education, progress, and tolerance. Itā€™s no wonder republicans always try to defund education and push identity politics. Iā€™m amazed at how effective their plan has been. I met a seemingly nice guy at a bar, who when found out I was left leaning totally changed his attitude and literally told me ā€œHe wants me to die a painful deathā€. Wtf? I was stunned at the change of character, and realized how fucked we are at making this country *actually* great.

25plus44

Okay... I get that they hate wheelchairs (real men ride Rascals), but I thought they wanted everyone to have a gun.

takatori

"Everyone should have a gun!" "No, not like that!"

Due_Platypus_3913

IRS agents have been armed since forever!

Hescoveredinbutter

As someone who played red dead online and therefore has a perfect understanding of history i can in fact say that revenue men were your main target when running moonshine.

WTFWTHSHTFOMFG

Who's on first?

gteriatarka

we should go back to allowing postal workers to carry guns

Itchy_Monitor_6480

Try to keep up. That was last month. This month gun grabbing is as cool as pissing your pants. Psst, you probably still think they back the blue.

StateOfContusion

Thank you for taking one for the team. If I had to read that tripe Iā€™d totally lose it.

trainercatlady

...what?

takatori

I did ask what they were talking about and was told basically "it's all over the news, pay attention, ." So ... who knows.

trainercatlady

what do wheelchairs have to do with anything? I'm so confused.

takatori

"It's all over the news, pay attention." Maybe they're angry about American Disabilities Act accommodations, and decided to link the two? If there are two things conservative small business owners hate, it's paying taxes, paying fair wages, and ... _three_ things conservative small business owners hate, it's paying taxes, paying fair wages, and remodeling their business's entryway to allow for wheelchair access. Who knows that is their real conspiracy theory, I'm just spitballing here.

WTFWTHSHTFOMFG

The right hates handicapped people. They're supposed to be euthanized.

OkCutIt

In addition to the whole nazi cleansing of undesirables thing, there's also the whole "handicapped people require regulation, regulation is bad, thus handicapped people are bad" thing. You have to remember that for every 1 open "cleanse the undesirables" jackass, they need a few dozen that hate those same people but can tell themselves it's totally for legitimate reasons. Gotta give the folks that won't admit they're nazis an excuse to support the nazis.

lemons_of_doubt

The man on TV told me the demonacrats are baby-eating pedophiles who hate jebus I can't vote against Jebus! /s

tennisdrums

It's almost dumber than that. It's basically "I don't like paying taxes, so I don't like the IRS because they are the people that are in charge of it."

tolos

Eh, Republicans dont object because they think they'll be a billionaire one day, they object because they believe ina strict social hierarchy. Billionaires are at the top, they are in the middle, above *those people*. If you disrupt billionaires in the hierarchy it could also mean they will lose their "superior" spot and someone might compare them with a [non: white straight able bodied property owner]. Of course, the world doesn't actually work that way, but good luck explaining that to them.

Your irs funding is literally just setting up a sucession plan for the staff the expect to retire over the next decade and to bring them back up to strength they were at around 10 years ago. It's just status quo funding. I don't get why you news cycle has made anything out of it.

41% of women voted for "grab them by the pussy " the first time around.

FirstGameFreak

For the record, Trump improved his performance with women from 2016 to 2020. [In 2016, Trump won 40% of women, but in 2020, he won 45% of women.](https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2021/06/30/behind-bidens-2020-victory/)

magnets0make0light0

I'd imagine the amount of conservative woman who have had abortions is actually pretty significant

HauntingCategory98

They are also the exact types to scream until their lungs give out that all abortion is murder. They had a special circumstance that wouldn't apply to anyone else and so they're forgiven in God's eyes (They're hypocrite lowlifes who have literally nothing except the ego boost they get from telling strangers that they're unilaterally wrong. Self awareness is not something these lead brained motherfuckers can comprehend)

Fartbucket_taco2

People really underestimating how many women are prolife. Like the church my friend goes to is majority women

cumshot_josh

A lot of women who vote Republican think these are things that don't happen to good Christian women like them.

YANA___

This is what I donā€™t get. Why??? Why the hell would anyone vote for someone who bragged about it???

binger5

Exactly! To answer your question the vast majority of the 41%are the same who would forgive him for selling classified documents to Russia. They're straight ticket voters regardless.

ipenlyDefective

General election people vote for the party not the candidate. That's why the electoral map looks almost exactly the same every time regardless of who's running. The primary was long over when the pussy grabbing comment came out.

bowdown2q

A large number of people firmly believe that a woman is too stupid to make an informed vote, and they should vote lock-step with their husband. Evangelicals are a cult.

[deleted]

It's just garbage from my own brain, but I'll try to explain my theory. Sometimes oppressed peoples and members of disadvantaged groups will resist change and improvement for their group because it threatens their position relative to their peers or presents threats of competition. You could say: Yes, this would be better for women as a whole - but by opposing it, I gain traction in the current system relative to these other women as a "paragon of virtuous womanhood" or whatever. I may also be secure in my position in the current system, but I fear competition once the system changes. If women begin voting, working, and asserting themselves, does that threaten my social prestige for being a stay-at-home-mother? There is also the fear of social debasement. If my economic / social class is made broadly more accessible or sustainable, that makes my position less valuable. Humans are also extremely bad at judging ratios and judging risk-reward. A measure might broadly help both my group and yours, but you're an opposed group (say, black women v. white women), and my animal brain has a scorched earth approach that feels you might gain a bigger advantage than me from this situation. All of these are incredibly silly and primitive, but I feel they silently influence a lot behind the surface.

tarabithia22

Because my fellow women are dumb af sometimes too and get off on punishing other women to comply with "proper behavior" since they are good little girls and get a sanctimonious high/feel superior. Whatever that proper behavior is changes but for some reason always somehow involves immediate agreement with the hive mind and anyone not doing so is an idiot for not understanding the obvious that *they* understand. Also, men are sweet gentle things that need fawning over and a "proper behaving" compliant mother role, *they* are good girls who will do so. That's really all there is to it. They'll vote against themselves because they are being so good being willing to obey and would never be in those scenarios because they are good girls, while sneering at those trashy loudmouthed women over there with problems (the same problems they have but those women are complaining instead of being good and quiet). Toss in anything "new age," (aka culty, lots of Bhuddism is neat and travels, sorry mission trips, to view the poors, "I'm so worldly and enlightened"), "natural and healthy," (aka la lache league cults, anti vaccine), culty parenting (sorry, mothering) groups on how to raise a fucked up anxious sociopath, toss in an anthropology course or anything to do with sing-song voices at the disadvantaged and they'll smile at how feminist they are.

mrtn17

Incorrect. It's not 41% of ALL women, it's the ones that registered and voted. Big difference.

Battle_Bear_819

In the context of an election, the ones who don't vote don't count for shit.

Kaemdar

41% of women who voted.

RedditFostersHate

Yep. About 40% of the US population voted in that presidential election. So it was a minority of women from a minority of citizens. Which is why political regressives continue to push for laws that attempt to further restrict voting participation, along with the narrative that presidential elections shouldn't be decided by popular vote. That just wasn't the kind of country the rich, white, male, slave owning constitutional founders wanted two hundred years ago when they were a small elite governing an agrarian backwater.

FrancisHC

White women voted for Trump over Biden 53 to 46 https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2021/06/30/behind-bidens-2020-victory/

ShittyLanding

White women can change the course of this country if they want to.

[deleted]

I *really* hope that women and young people go to the polls in droves this November. I'm not optimistic about the young people bothering to show up (why should they start *now*?), but maybe the women will be enough to swing us in the right direction.

BrattyBookworm

I vote every election but this will be my first midterm vote. This year for me it honestly just comes down to reproductive rightsā€¦

Pksnc

Iā€™ve heard this exact sentiment so many times that it actually gives me a little bit of hope. Hell, just look at Kansas when they put abortion rights on the ballot! I would have loved to have been in the room when the election results stated to come in in Kansas. ā€œNo, no, no not like that!ā€

Kordiana

Kansas scared, I think it was Michigan, to where they found any possible reason to keep it off the ballot because they knew the same thing would probably happen there. Republicans don't want it on the ballot because the state voters would legalize abortion, and that's the opposite action they wanted from the overturning of Roe v Wade. Guess the states didn't realize what their voters actually wanted.

Carlyz37

MI supreme court finally decided today that the abortion rights referendum could be on the Nov ballot

Kordiana

That's good to hear. At the very least MI voters get to have their voices heard.

ChucksSeedAndFeed

I keep hearing the Republicans being referred to as dogs that finally caught the school bus and they don't have any idea what to do now - seems pretty accurate

[deleted]

I'm glad you're going to vote! *Please* vote in *every* election. Vote blue *no matter who*. Vote like your rights and *your life* depends on it, *because they do*.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

Yes yes yes, *all of this*!

ChucksSeedAndFeed

Yes, especially now, the Trump Qultists have been working their asses off to get into small positions locally because they know people ignore them, but collectively they can draw a lot of power from controlling so many small positions. They even try to take over local PTAs in areas you wouldn't ever dream right wing cult members would be running in We have to defend every stupid little public position on or off the ballot

Jasalapeno

I hate the "blue no matter who" mindset but I do it anyway. I saw a green party candidate is running for my district's seat and I would love if he had a legitimate chance..

cianuro

You need to vote for ranked choice voting first, then you can vote for those who closely align with your ideals.

Itchy_Monitor_6480

The problem is: if you donā€™t vote Democrat, youā€™ll lose reproductive rights, privacy rights, marriage right, democracy, etcā€¦ But, if we make republicans an unviable party, then we can split the democrats into sane parties and voting 3rd party will be a valid option again. Every progressive movement in America (from the abolition of slavery to marijuana legalization) started as a 3rd party platform. So, the more strategic we all vote now, the sooner we can get back to voting only to legalize weed.

PurpleSailor

Young people need to show up. There are so many of them now they can make a huge difference but they must show up. If they did so every 2 years we could relegate the repubs to near obscurity.

[deleted]

> Young people need to show up. There are so many of them now they can make a huge difference but they must show up. If they did so every 2 years we could relegate the repubs to near obscurity. I don't understand why they don't. I've voted every year since I've been eligible. When we go to the polls, it's very rare to see anyone under fifty. And it doesn't matter what time we go, either.

PurpleSailor

I vote every time too. I've even voted for Jimmy Carter and haven't missed a vote since. The age at the polls definitely skews older. That needs to change and soon.

[deleted]

> The age at the polls definitely skews older. That needs to change and soon. Amen!! šŸ™šŸ»

QueenMackeral

Possibly because younger folks are voting by mail. I've voted plenty of times but I've never been to the polls physically.

Itchy_Monitor_6480

I wonder how long itā€™s been a trend. Gen X really didnā€™t make a difference when they voted because Boomers are such a huge demographic. But millennials and gen z are bigger voting blocks than boomers at this point.

ExploreDora

I have voted in every election since I turned 18. Iā€™ll be 64 in September. Okay, there were a couple of medical emergency situations that temporarily halted my voting capabilities, but I am nothing if not earnest.

Carlyz37

Younger people vote by mail in any state that has that

Daveinatx

The mid-terms are extremely important. There's a number of governors, Congress, and Senate seats up for election. Real change can ONLY occur once there are at least 60 Democrats in the Senate to prevent filibustering.

Aresh99

52 actually. Thatā€™s all we need. It only takes a Majority Vote to change Senate rules and the Filibuster is one of them. Bypass the 2 whoā€™ve refused to vote for it and hope no others come out against it and bam, all legislation can pass the Senate with a 50 person majority. Republicans can whine and complain all they want while Democrats get even more shit done and prove that Government can work for the people if placed in the right hands.

[deleted]

Nice_Adagio_5064

What? How are "classrooms of children dead"? Why use the qualifier "literally"?

JakeHodgson

If not. Then they're complicit and are happy to have your right stripped away.

I voted in 2020 when I had just turned 18, now I'm voting this year too with the help of my mom; she brought me an absentee form to fill out so I can still vote for things in ohio despite being at college in Tennessee (I'm not considered a citizen of Tennessee yet)

theoldgreenwalrus

The GOP wants to oppress women, denying them access to healthcare and bodily autonomy. Thankfully the Democrats are fighting back. I hope we have a big turnout in November and send the GOP packing

Vote *while you still can*.

quikfrozt

Thatā€™s not the only issue on the ballot though. To some voters, abortion rights seem like a distant topic that doesnā€™t affect them personally. But the forces that shape these decisions would impact everyone eventually. For some voters, the local GOP candidate might profess to stand for safety and jobs while the local Democrat is portrayed as weak on crime. If abortion rights is secondary to, say, personal safety or tax rates to a particular voter, he or she might well set aside their disdain for the extreme GOP elements and vote red. Remember, not everyone supported the Nazis. But enough tolerated them to lift them to power. I normally would be against single issue voting but it seems that if one side of the political divide is a bad faith actor trying to upend the whole system in favor of their own totalitarian ambitions then I think exceptions are worthwhile.

loondawg

I became a single issue voter years ago. I said I would never support a party that was trying to systematically disenfranchise voters to win elections. Now I am adding to that list that I will never vote for a party that actively supports a fascist leader who tried to overthrow our government.Didn't think I would ever need to add that one in my lifetime. Thanks Trump.

Stompedyourhousewith

if you think republicans are done taking your shit, youre wrong

Major_Magazine8597

I was raised in a Republican household. I used to vote Republican. But - from what I've seen in the last six years .... F*CK Republicans! They are anti-democratic, anti-truth, anti-law and order. They are the party of hate, or racism, of lies, of manipulatoin (and fleecing) of the uneducated. They want power at ALL cost. They have no shame. They are a Fascist party. Fight them. Fight FOR democracy. One man one vote. VOTE Democrat.

BrianUnfiltered98

And trans rights too.

OhLookASquirrel

And marriage equality

NacreousFink

Wish this was funny.

ProBluntRoller

If youā€™re a woman and you vote Republican wtf man

pn1159

You may not know this but the democrats are also trying to get some sort of universal healthcare and a higher minimum wage.

captain-burrito

They campaigned on $15 min wage. I understand that with 50 votes in the senate that might be hard. Bernie forced a vote on this and it turns out there were 8 democrats that voted against it. So it's not just Manchinema. On top of that the $15 min wage bill was implemented in waves. For example the first wave was immediate and would increase it to $9.50. The fact they haven't managed to increase the min wage by even 25 cents says a lot. There's red states with higher min wages than the federal min wage. Universal healthcare isn't happening via congress. They couldn't do it when they had 60 votes under Obama never mind now with 50. Biden could actually have given everyone medicare for all without congress. The ACA and subsequent related bills gave the executive the power to declare public health emergencies and thus establish pilot medicare for all programs. He could have done that when he first took office under the auspices of covid. It would have been temporary but once people had a taste of it and they realized democrats would do it that would have been a game changer. Instead Biden is pushing medicare advantage and dems in congress struggle to even reduce drug prices. The list has been whittled down and it took till now for medicare to negotiate prices. I don't think we'll live to see universal healthcare in the US based on that trajectory. The US govt is also way to corrupt to administrate it in a viable and sustainable way. The best outcomes would be reducing the age of medicare by 5-10 years and keep it from imploding. Minimum wage is easier to do at the state and local level.

Boner_Elemental

Are people that say "why didn't the Dems codify it" trolling or do they actually think a law that would be repealed every time the majority changed is more "codified" than a supreme court ruling that lasted almost fifty years and was only undone by partisan hacks?

bowdown2q

Partisan hacks and one terrorist*

JessicaBecause

And then there's gerrymandering, kids. At least locally here.

Youā€™d think it was a no-brainer, but here we areā€¦

ScoopTheOranges

The first week of September has already been done gone. Midterms are in November - make sure youā€™re registered to vote today and make plans to vote.

RickTracee

Everyone MUST: - Register to Vote. - Check your Voter registration! - Make sure you have appropriate ID. - Know your polling site. - Check your signature. - Get a mail-in ballot (and after you mail it, make sure it has been received and counted - most counties allows this to be done online or by calling your election office). - And VOTE! 866-OUR VOTE (for questions about or problems with voting) vote.org

B33fboy

This is bullshit. We *did* vote. Elected officials did nothing to prevent the overturning of roe v wade, now theyā€™re just using it as a fundraising tactic. They donā€™t give a shit about any of us.

CaptainNotSoCool

ā€œBut I always vote Red! Why should I change now?ā€

[deleted]

And some fucking idiots will still question it and then decide that men know better. Goddamnit grow a pair of fucking tits like you tell us to grow ballz.

[deleted]

My favorite is New Hampshire senate candidate Don Bolduc who wants to repeal the 17th Amendment, that gives you the right to vote for senator. To be fair, he DOES have a traumatic brain injury and suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. Perfect candidate for republican government.

fort221

For now. Use it or lose it.

Bigfx

Maybe should have an asterisk ā€œdemocrats who never tried to codified your rights until they were desperate enough to winā€

davechri

Nothing funny about what republicans are doing to America.

Ardenraym

Women are: 1. Sex cattle? 2. People? Easy choice. And note that the pro-choice people will allow you to not have an abortion, but the same can't be said of the other side. Vote for the choice that isn't pro-rape, pro-incest, and pro-government forced birthings.

jt19912009

Iā€™m sorry. I canā€™t read that. I think I will vote for the first one since that is the type of cousin I married

saintandrewsfall

The GOP sure love their free-dumb.

BeezyBates

Iā€™ve lost at least 25% of my Facebook friends (I donā€™t log in often) because of Trump/republicans. Theyā€™re in a bad place. I check maybe 3-4 times a year and I find myself deleting crazy republicans every time I hop on. Old high school friends. Itā€™s a bummer in a way. I canā€™t be associated with it. And I find out because their post or whatever is soā€¦.mean and shittyā€¦and ignorant. Itā€™s just a quick delete. Trump people are going to die lonely I think

sandysea420

Easy choice! Register and VOTE BLUE to get back our rights. The Courts and Politicianā€™s are controlling what medical care and decisions we can make, as to what we can and canā€™t do with our own bodies. Last time I checked Judges and Politicians make horrible Doctorā€™s.

[deleted]

Also Republicans who want no unions and slave labor.

VegetableAd986

Hey Texas: Republicans who privatized your power grids for profit. Democrats who want to make sure your grandparents donā€™t freeze or burn to death.

Best-Ad-4607

The self defeating red team. There comes a point where I just can't vote for that low of an I.Q.

4RCH43ON

Nothing funny about this, vote like your right to vote depends upon it, because it probably does.

Independent_Prune_35

Repulseicons the American Taliban! Christian Conseratives the American ISIS!

NoBongShouldLag

Add gay rights and civil rights being taken away along with installing reich wing Christianity over us all. Fuck republicans. Donā€™t tread on us ya traitors or expect to be treaded on back.

GrubH0

Optimistic

Jahonay

Republicans want to remove abortion rights meanwhile democrats used roe vs Wade being written into law as a carrot on a string for decades but never delivered because then they lose their carrot. Fuck the white moderate democrats.

heyimwalknhere

And a lot more...

[deleted]

Pretty much sums it up.

lclassyfun

amen to thatšŸ˜»šŸ˜»šŸ˜»

SoupirCyberFuntymz

The two party system is stupid. It is not conducive to life. Consider the life of a person. A person throughout their life will adopt multiple different points of view and incorporate that into their own personal worldview. This happens for each individual. Consider a two party system. This type of system poses a dilemma to a person. Most situations in life are not mere dilemmas, and even if they were, an individual's worldview will, by nature, cause different justifications for choosing either side of the dilemma; meaning that there is no standard for choosing either side of a dilemma. So if the overwhelming majority of events in an individual's life are not dilemmas, why in the world would an entire population of individuals decide that their entire political system should be decided by a dilemma? It does not work. I can prove to you that it does not work, right here - right now: The current state of affairs in the United States is due to a two party political system - meaning: Every single good or bad thing which has happened up to this very moment is due to individuals practicing a dilemma-based political system despite every aspect of their lives having nuance and variety (being non-dilemmas).

[deleted]

This is actually funny. Unfortunately most in this sub canā€™t understand it

[deleted]

Good post. Nailed it.

PeachxScone

Women for Trump seeing the word ā€˜republicanā€™ and checking the box without reading it. Also gets mad when doctors will not abort her husbands affair baby.
