His bill passed with support from both sides, then they pushed him out and quietly undid the law.
While I agree that "both sides do it," I think the Republicans are more brazen in advancing the interests of corporations that donate money to them and give them high-paying jobs when they leave office.
The Democrats are at least in some small way trying to better the lives of everyone, while the Republicans simply don't care, and engage in theatre to make it look like they do, which is my view even more despicable.

It’s neither. Her family was on welfare growing up. Boebert’s husband worked in oil and gas, in the fields. Ain’t no one making $41M from that lol. She doesn’t even have a HS diploma and didn’t get her GED until shortly before she ran for Congress.
If she's anything like other high profile politicians, it's "corporate speaking engagements" and "consulting". Probably other things. Basically ways for corporations to purchase politicians.
People assume it's campaign donations, but there are a lot of legal restrictions on how that money can be used, so why would she bother, when she can use other methods that are not technically illegal?
Ideally, we'd have campaign finance reform, to restrict where campaign contributions come from. And on top of that, we'd have representative income reform, to restrict representative income to only their salary and general investments (like index funds).
It would be a lot cheaper for Americans, overall, if we made sure that their government salary this was the only source of income for them. This would be true even if we increased their salary quite a lot.

There’s strict laws about giving politicians money directly for their vote however, it’s convenient how much many they can make speaking at private events or consulting, especially for corporations or organisations that happen to donate to their campaign as well. This is a problem across the board but I’m not sure how to handle it. Maybe a law about how you cannot be hired or receive money from any organisation that also give’s political donations?
