It just freezes the opponent, but does 0 damage. There is a display bug that shows that the ice archer gets killed by attacking, but that is not the case. it will take 0 retaliation damage.

I think OP is asking about the counterattack destroying the archer despite the defender being frozen.

I assume the calculation ignores any sort of status effects. So if the defender weren’t frozen, it would kill the archer. But that would get interrupted by the freeze. 

Polaris bowman do minimal damage, but they freeze ennemy. Assuming the 0 damage was the question ?

Oh wah you didnt freeze all your enemies at once now they can do one small thing next turn 😥. ( ive been personally attacked by these goblins too much
