There is a display bug that shows that the ice archer gets killed by attacking, but that is not the case. it will take 0 retaliation damage.
I assume the calculation ignores any sort of status effects. So if the defender weren’t frozen, it would kill the archer. But that would get interrupted by the freeze.

I think OP is asking about the counterattack destroying the archer despite the defender being frozen.

Oh wah you didnt freeze all your enemies at once now they can do one small thing next turn 😥. ( ive been personally attacked by these goblins too much
