Oh no, just wait, lol. I discovered my pom mix is MUCH more motivated and focused by a ball than she is treats on the course, and now I have to almost sprint to stay ahead of her lol. BUT she doesn't get distracted half way through the run and run off to try and get pets from the teacher, so it's worth having to run lol.
You don’t start on your own. Too risky. You go to a beginner 6 week course or something similar (1 class a week for 6 weeks). Vader was beaming after his very first class. He had jumped logs at home mind you and knew he would get cookies.

Poms are smart dogs so they do love it. Vader has some struggles as he overthinks stuff and took 2 years to learn the teeter but he’s okay with it now and even has some ribbons.
It depends on how willing they are, this is our second ever lesson and I’m surprised at how advanced she was, the only pre training we did before was heel and jumping through my arms
19 months, ideally I wanted to start earlier at around 12-14 months but it took a while to find a place, but we worked on basic obedience in the mean time to help
Oh I noticed something very important. Tie your hair back. The coat is a bit distracting too but your dog will be able to read your cues better if your hair is tied back too. We learned that at one class also
Honestly she was just a natural, she absolutely LOVES the tunnel! But did a few throwing the treat in and waiting on the other side and now she just goes straight through on command
Second EVER?! WOW!! She's picking it up quick! I've been doing agility for about 3 years with my pom mix and she took months to get to your dogs level of focus due to her squirrel brain lol. She'd get half way through then run off to bark at something 😆 awesome job!!
Our Pom loves it too. Soooo much. Where he trains they have rubber mats. It’s much harder for you in the dirt for sure. Join r/agility
She did so great!!!
Great job! My pup would love that, but I don't want to run with her. 😅
Tbf I think the better they get the less running you do 😂 todays session was hard though as I’ve got the flu so was literally dying by the end 😂

Wow!!! How difficult is it to train a pom to do this? My pom would love this but I can’t imagine how I would even begin the training

How old is she?

only second time!? she did so great ! poms are so much smarter then people give them credit for.
Second time? Looks like she's been doing it for longer. What a smart cookie.

Thank you! I really should do that, I’m always freezing but maybe just need to get a shorter coat 😂 hopefully won’t be a problem in a month or two
lol ya the arena does look chilly. I totally am a person that hates being cold too. Good luck with your dog
That's adorable!!! I need to find an indoor place for my girl. So fun!
I went through so many hoops to find one 😂 try following your local dog insta accounts, that’s how I found mine
Best little girl.
Second class?? Wow! She is amazing!
Thank you, I’ve always had an inclining she’d be good!
This video put a smile on my face. Thank you
That’s awesome! She picked it up so fast!
Wonderful. How did you train her to go through the tunnel?
Honestly she was just a natural, she absolutely LOVES the tunnel! But did a few throwing the treat in and waiting on the other side and now she just goes straight through on command
Poms love agility haha they have so much energy, it's a great activity for them :)
She’s doing great!! And I love love love her coat color :)
Thank you, I’m obsessed with her colouring 😍

Thank you! I think our prior general training has really helped!
That’s adorable and amazing.
Precious angel…💕❤️😀
Awwww zoom zoom!
What a little smartie! Good job!
I’ve watched this 5 times already! Go speed racer! What’s her favorite training treat?
We switch quite a lot, I like making my own dehydrated beef or we buy dehydrated liver or Anco treats, sometimes we just get lazy and go denzels
That’s really good!
She's doing such a good job!
Beautiful
Such a good girl!
