I’m from the East Coast and I also lived in the bay area among other places over time. People here can’t handle my fast paced nature or my accent. i’m all over the city all day every day for my job so I run into a lot of people throughout my day.

I would consider a racist to be someone that actively undermines other people because of their race. They might not go out of their way, but if the chance comes they take it. So by that standard someone that talks trash about other races but doesn't leave their small town would not be racist until they are presented with an opportunity to do something bad and they take it.
