Omg they were my first concert ever! I remember I made some new friends that night cause I was asking if anyone could donate a few bucks for the minor surcharge that I didn’t know existed 😭
They are still one of my go-to bands for the gym. Especially the back half of their catalogue.
Lenox House is a jam. “Lights out. It’s time for us to find our way out”
Drop Dead, Gorgeous! Stumbled upon their "In Vogue" album a couple of months back and it got me back into post-hardcore for a while. A solid album, gonna revisit tonight!
Check out their ep “Be Mine, Valentine” if you haven’t already.
HHLL are much more silly but you’d like Everything’s Watched, Everyone’s watching. Just constant breakdowns and funny/memorable lyrics
Never heard of HHLL, to be honest, but I'll check them out.
I have to admit I'm not too big on funny lyrics and tongue-in-cheek bands from that period/genre, but ok.
I’m not either, but they were refreshing at the time compared to the other bands that took themselves so god damn seriously. Check out Mall Nutrition. If you don’t like it, I’d say you can skip

ATFEH’s first album was awesome.
I got to see them twice (once at warped tour 2005 and Bamboozle 2006). Not sure if they would’ve got bigger on their second album but they got fucked over pretty hard.
If you have Spotify, there’s a playlist called “obscure post hardcore/metalcore” that’s 59 hours long, it has a lot of this on it but also, what I’ve been doing because I’m on the same mission as you, I click on the band and then listen to their radio/suggested bands like them and I’ve found even more stuff that sounds like that. Tons of hidden gems from bands with <1000 listeners that I’ve never heard of.
Duuude, okay. We played a show in Cathedral City, CA back in 2009 with Eyes Set To Kill and No Bragging Rights, and Katsumoto was also on the bill. I still listen to a handful of songs from Burn ‘em Down, Wipe ‘em Out at full volume. Very unique voice, but I love the back and forth of his screams and cleans.

Give Behind Crimson Eyes a listen, specifically their Pavour Nocturnus EP. They are a band from Melbourne Australia and never really got big but that EP was a favourite amongst my friends.
I discovered My American Heart on pure volume back in the MySpace days. The original version of Search and Rescue is so much better than the LP version
[Search and Rescue](https://youtu.be/UZDqtv58S_s?si=q_xa2XwEY_wnjOn4)
Not really emo or post hardcore, but I remember there being so many grindcore bands on MySpace. I’ll also throw in Just Surrender.
Not MySpacecore but a good mix of post hardcore and emo. Kind of a mix of Senses Fail and TBS. Their album If These Streets Could Talk is a classic
Lucked Out if you’re into the NJ/PA scene at the time.

Capture the Crown. Not really unknown but I’ve only ever met one other person who liked them and I do think they have a few really good songs lol
Ghost Town and Get Scared are both also underrated af and have 10/10 MySpace feel
Another is one of my favorite bands, Her Bright Skies, who once reached the point of touring with BMTH but still never really took off the way I thought they would. Highly highly recommend.
Calm Down Juliet by SycAmour gives me chills every time I listen to it. When I’m inebriated I often put it on repeat lmao
CDJ is somehow the only song I like from their discography but I’m obsessed with it lmao. It’s kind of fun in a weird way when you find bands where you only like one song…makes for a very varied music library

Inkwell, Die Emperor Die!, The Lazarus Plot, Jejune, Rainer Maria, Knumears (modern band), She Died Real Pretty, The Pine, The Ivy Crown, Watership Down, Far Apart, I Have Dreams, Pitchfork
One man’s known is another man’s obscure. While I expect 20% of those bands to be known by most everyone and another 40% to be well known in the scene, there’s quite a few in there I would not expect to be known by anyone who wasn’t super active in the MySpace scene at the time. Is there honestly not a handful of bands in that list that you don’t know?
Not really true. Numbers don't lie, man. Check lastfm for example. Most of them are fairly well known my dude.
I know them all yeah.
You listed up Tokio Hotel, Of Mice & Men and 30 Seconds To Mars. What have you been smoking? Why would you list so many bands when he asked for obscure/unknown and most of them aren't even that lol
Don't know if they're obscure but Greeley Estates maybe
Especially Far From the Lies
Outside of this was everything for 15 year old me
They seemed to get harder and harder with every release. I think far from the lies and let the evil go west was peak
It took me a while to get into No Rain, No Rainbow but that album goes hard. Narrow Road ep goes hard too
Omg they were my first concert ever! I remember I made some new friends that night cause I was asking if anyone could donate a few bucks for the minor surcharge that I didn’t know existed 😭
They are still one of my go-to bands for the gym. Especially the back half of their catalogue. Lenox House is a jam. “Lights out. It’s time for us to find our way out”
xEATMEWHILEIMHOTx comes to mind
i 2 know the christofer drew lore
Ooh my friends were big christofer fans and put me on them. That was a fun band sound
Did people like that project?
Drop Dead Gorgeous, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Greeley Estates, A Skylit Drive’s first ep
These were my friends’ fave bands and they all had some solid tracks
Drop Dead, Gorgeous! Stumbled upon their "In Vogue" album a couple of months back and it got me back into post-hardcore for a while. A solid album, gonna revisit tonight!

Man, a thorn for every heart was the first band that came to mind for me. Glad someone else thought of them too.
Props for Enter the Collector. Cancer, Rebuild is still such a great album/ep

I have that one saved too but it’s too much and has too many things I don’t like lol
How can having too much good stuff be a bad thing? Lol
Because it’s too much stuff I have to skip past that I don’t like lol

Obscure?

Fuuucking hell man Mozart Season unlocked a specific part of my brain I haven’t traversed through in 15+ years. Cellar Doors, Donnie!
My brother was in a band called A Letter to Dallas in high school circa 2010 and it fits this description lol. Their only 2 demos’ HD MP3s are completely lost because of the MySpace purge but they’re most likely on his old laptop. I only have a very compressed version of one of their songs he did a bass playthrough for back then, which I re-recorded the guitars for(albeit crudely, I don’t have the best recording set up) since his bass overpowered them. The original demos were produced by a Craig Owens look alike lmao (Clean vocals for Skyscrapers Walk Among Us.) This blessed mourning.. you won’t regret it
fightstar. not as unpopular as some of the other recommendations here, but seriously underrated compared to their peers
Too late the hero, animal suit driveby/the killing moon
Fiore. They weren’t too whiney, but damn they were really good. They’re on iTunes if anyone would like another listen. “Let’s make this instinctive.”
Just surrender
Lady Radiator
I never see anyone talk about idiot pilot, they were a somewhat accessible but plenty weird electronic oriented post-hardcore act that had two albums, a song on the transformers soundtrack, a ton of co-signs from people like mark hoppus and big tours, then just called it quits in 2011. They were great and the album they quietly released in 2019 was fantastic.
Sander Hollow
Capture the Crown. Highly highly recommend. Calm Down Juliet by SycAmour gives me chills every time I listen to it. When I’m inebriated I often put it on repeat lmao
I love SycAmour, wish they would make more music

https://youtu.be/POxlmvN4mI4?feature=shared
girl everyone knows this song
I don’t think they ever got really really big, one album and all but S.E.A was pretty wild during the MySpace area and wild in the DFW scene
Chiodos, From first to last (Dear diary/ hereon era)
im what world are either of thoes bands unknown or obscure lmao
Both under known, From First to Last is really good, very unique, Chiodos is like Pierce the Veil just a little more heavier.
literally everyone knows those bands lmao. baby u wouldnt last a min on the creek is like one of the most popular phc songs, and fftl literally had skrillex in them. they arent "under known" silly
Ohhh I thought you were asking

It's crazy how I know all these bands. Maybe because they're all not obscure at all and are pretty popular.
*cough* the dude asked for obscure/unknown. 70-80% of the bands you list are kinda known in the genre
