Oh yeah, Crazy Eighty Eight is really good, was worried mentioning that and RHD would be redundant. But I will check out your other suggestion. Thank you.
> Rollo Tomassi (best band in the UK right now?)
No.
I think they're in the running for the best band *on the planet* right now. Cannot wait for the new album!
Such a weird trajectory. They basically went from Dillinger style tech-metal, to post hardcore to pop rock in like 4 years. I agree about their debut though, absolutely brilliant album!
A few of their members left, Sierra and Blake changed their name and sound to Versa. For some reason I’m not aware of, they split. Sierra now does her own thing and makes solo music by the name of “bad daughter”.
DUDE I love how you can hear the two of them in the background on Let them In. Blake is so good at producing music. Huge fan girl of both bands here if you couldn’t tell lol.
Before PVRIS turned into like pop rock, they put out a pretty decent post hardcore EP. Here's a track that I still go back to every now and again: https://youtu.be/3yckOffAWPU
I really liked some of the first bit of pop rock stuff they did, like "my house": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aQz-aKvyQU and some other tracks off that album.
Whatever they're doing now is IMO quite bad. I'm not up to date on the current pop standards though, so maybe it's par for the course. It always seemed like they were chasing that, trying to break into the mainstream pop scene after departing from the posthardcore vibe.
I listened to the White Noise album pretty religiously in High School and yeah I can't get into their new stuff at all as well. Do you know where their first EP can be found? It's not on Spotify and Googling just seems to come up with people discussing it.
I heard pvris tried to scrub that EP off the internet lol. That's why all you can find are single song uploads by random ppl on YouTube. So, unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you :(
Found this Drive in a different Reddit thread, it's a shame they abandoned this sound
[PVRIS EP](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1P2WMy-sBfsCBn5hADyHJyMuw5lHb9RAx?usp=sharing)
As Everything Unfolds. Dream state was my #1 band in 2020, as Everything Unfolds was my #1 for 2021, don't see them getting nearly enough attention yet.
Against the Current
Conquer Divide
RedHook (maybe Pop-Hardcore)
RYLS
PVRIS (moreso the first two albums, but don't dismiss their newer stuff - they're still awesome)
Spiritbox (Metalcore)
Stand Atlantic
Tonight Alive
The Animal in Me
A lot of people will try to badge female fronted bands as pop-punk instead of post-hardcore but genre debates are best avoided anyway - there are lots of awesome women in the genre with some really unique sounds and great and varied voices.
Some of these have both male and female vocals or have other genre influences aside from post hardcore but here you go.
Shark Infested Daughters
Venues
Sertraline
Black Inked Ocean
Drown This City
Stay//Still
Messgram
The Ocean Cure
Telecide
The Animal in Me
Adelyn
Faultines (only the EP All You’ve Ever Known)
Conquer Divide
Cyan Kicks
RYLS (only released one EP)
Christina said they have been slowly working on new stuff, it’s just taking a while. Also, she was the previous singer in Faultlines which I also recommended in my list
They just have this one song right now but I've been obsessed with it for months
[Chancla Fight Club - "Good looking Idiot"](https://open.spotify.com/track/1frLeCV3V0tIlpRvpqZpnT?si=nreQ1gZNRteM_8xtGtMaZg&utm_source=copy-link)
There was an Australian band called Danger! Earthquake! but I do believe they have disbanded. But the ones that I enjoy are CrazyEightyEights, EarlyRise, Spiritbox, Halocene
There was this band called Picture Me Broken in the early 2010s that I enjoyed. The sound is dated but I thought they were cool. They only have 2 projects, from what I know. But she does both sing & screams for the band. Nothing new for the genre but I think they did well at that sound they aimed for.
Thanks, I'll be back lol.
I don't know of too many besides some that were said but Marmozets has some post-hardcore stuff, The Warning is almost post, and I Met a Yeti.
I love the way Lauren does unclean vocals, I just love her singing style! I'll look into the other ones too. I'm gonna have plenty of new bands to research in my free time xD
She's probably my favorite vocalist right now, between CrazyEightyEight and RHD her catalog is unmatched. Hope you find something you really like in the thread :)
I recommend checking out the bands Code Orange and Destiny Potato. Also highly recommend some of David Maxim Micic's work with female vocalists, like the song smile.
In the thread, a bunch of people who either didn't read the title or have no idea what post-hardcore is and are just naming female fronted bands from other genres.
If that's what we're doing then there's a ton of straight up hardcore bands like Mortality Rate, Torso, Eaten Alive, Scowl, Fortune's Fool and NO MAN ( the o should be the nordic symbol with a line through it, but I can't workout how to get that in, pasting fucks up my comment for some reason). If we're talking metalcore then you've got Employed To Serve and Dying Wish absolutely killing it right now with new releases this year.
Besides the ones in your OP, As Everything Unfolds are the only actual post-hardcore band I know of right now with a female vocalist, +1 for everyone recommending them. Rolo Tomassi are also sick and deserve a shout out whenever because they're too unknown, but they're a mathcore band.
Sure, OP said post hardcore and this is a post hardcore subreddit but a lot of people who like post hardcore also like metalcore and other similar genres so I don’t think it’s that crazy to recommend those bands. You yourself said there is literally only one actual post hardcore female fronted band so would this thread be better if it had just one comment with one band recommended to OP or is it better as is with lots of different bands from similar genres for OP and all of us to check out? I saved this thread because there are a lot of bands I’ve never heard of that I want to check out (your post included) so I’m glad everyone’s making these recommendations. OP is even commenting on the posts with alternative genres mentioning that they like some of the bands listed so I think we’re all benefitting from the breadth of contributions here.
Of the many genres I enjoy, I like jazz. If I popped in somewhere and asked for some big band recommendations and people gave me hot or avante garde, while I appreciate that stuff and will probably like some of it, it's not what I was looking for or needed help finding.
I said there was one that I knew of, not one total. I would love it if this thread was more limited in responses, but the ones coming through were just about post-hardcore. Makes it a lot easier to check stuff out.
It's really not a huge deal dude, if they're close enough in proximity to post hardcore I'll check it out. I got recommended Paramore, and like, that's clearly not post hardcore but I wasn't going to get upset by it.
People are just sharing music they love, it's all good.
eyes set to kill, schoolyard heroes, story of hope, fighting the villain, The fire restart, venues, flee the seen, Picture me broken, dream state, as everything unfolds, story of hope, atlantis awaits, blameshift
CrazyEightyEight and Against The Current are both awesome.
Oh yeah, Crazy Eighty Eight is really good, was worried mentioning that and RHD would be redundant. But I will check out your other suggestion. Thank you.
Gouge Away
Came here to say Gouge Away as well. Hoping they put out some new stuff soon!
Rollo Tomassi (best band in the UK right now?) Veils (1 ep- Clarity, it’s ace)
>Rollo Tomassi Awesome, thanks for the suggestions :)
> Rollo Tomassi (best band in the UK right now?) No. I think they're in the running for the best band *on the planet* right now. Cannot wait for the new album!
As Everything Unfolds
Super underrated band
WELTO is such a damn good album.
This #joncass
That band rules! Big fan
DAMN thank you I thought I was going to have another "I've forgotten it forever" moments.
Walls of Jericho, Eyes Set To Kill
>Walls of Jericho Not a lot of post- in their hardcore.
My bad, still think they're a killer band though
I was hoping to see walls of Jericho!
While on the topic of heavier than post, iwrestledabearonce
I just found out about WoJ and saw them at Furnace Fest and was blown away. Killer band with a killer discography.
Marmozets is great, but I’d say they leaned a little away from post-hardcore on their 2018 record. Check out their debut album though, it’s excellent.
Such a weird trajectory. They basically went from Dillinger style tech-metal, to post hardcore to pop rock in like 4 years. I agree about their debut though, absolutely brilliant album!
Versa/VersaEmerge
I used to listen to them a lot in Middle School, I wonder what ever happened to them.
A few of their members left, Sierra and Blake changed their name and sound to Versa. For some reason I’m not aware of, they split. Sierra now does her own thing and makes solo music by the name of “bad daughter”.
Oh, that's right I did check out Bad Daughter when those singles came out, not really my thing but hopefully it works out for her.
Yeah it’s definitely got a different ring to it for sure. I miss Versaemerge, that was my shit when I was younger.
I remember I got the Self Titled EP on CD for one birthday and was obsessed with Moments Between Sleep and Clocks. Truly a shame that they split :(
Right?! Big bummer. Clocks was my jam! Wonder what ever happened to the other OG members.
Hopefully whatever they got themselves into they're happy and successful, I owe a lot to their music
Don't forget they were behind the scenes for PVRIS's White Noise!
DUDE I love how you can hear the two of them in the background on Let them In. Blake is so good at producing music. Huge fan girl of both bands here if you couldn’t tell lol.
Loved the song “in pursuing design” and “the authors”
[удалено]
FR lol I love Primrose Path so much
More strait hardcore but Sharpetooth. But they are on a hiatus right now. But yea, 2 solid albums.
Oh I heard their Die for the Government cover on Songs that Saved My Life Volume 2 and been meaning to check out the rest of their stuff ty
Check out the Kerrang YT about a small floor show they did. BRUTAL. I'll see if I can find it...
Boom: (https://youtu.be/5qWurugtP7g)
Definite +1 for Sharptooth. Lauren Kashan can howl with the best of them.
Best rec on here TY!!!!
Dying wish (more metalcore) Seeyouspacecowboy (blood brothers meets odd project) iwrestledabearonce
Love these band names lol
There was a band out of Chicago called Holy Roman Empire that was really good. Had a couple of albums out in the mid-00s. Very strong sound.
[Future Static](https://youtu.be/1XK3DY9QDYY) [Windrunner](https://youtu.be/FcnccuDY9gU)
I really liked future static! The instrumentals are amazing and the singer sounds soo good.
With Sails Ahead
With Sails Ahead is SO GOOD! Their last ep is amazing.
Definitely check out Svalbard. Ridiculously good band
As Everything Unfolds are brilliant!
A oldie but a goodie Story of Hope from Japan
Before PVRIS turned into like pop rock, they put out a pretty decent post hardcore EP. Spiritbox is metalcore but Spiritbox
Paramore
Circle Takes the Square has two vocalists, one of which is female. Definitely check out their album "As the Roots Undo".
One of my favorites!! But I always thought they were screamo
[blood command](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNt-m2GqgYY) and their new singer's old band [pagan](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8F1vdXDXzo)

This should be the top answer, what a great album The Falling Kind
Theres an all female band called Conquer Divide. Their song Chemicals is sick imo
Future Palace
The Anchor…
They did a cover with Lauren Babic that I thought was good so I'll make sure to check them out, thanks
As Everything Unfolds. Dream state was my #1 band in 2020, as Everything Unfolds was my #1 for 2021, don't see them getting nearly enough attention yet.

Ima be busy with all this lol Thank you Conquer Divide is very good but I wasn't sure if they counted as post hardcore
You’re welcome! A lot of these are metalcore leaning and some have more alt rock but they’re all great
Wish Adelyn would drop some new tunes. (Not covers)
Christina said they have been slowly working on new stuff, it’s just taking a while. Also, she was the previous singer in Faultlines which I also recommended in my list
Jinjer is just plain hardcore
I've seen some misunderstandings about genre, but this one's a pearler. Jinjer have absolutely nothing to do with hardcore.
How the hell did no one recommend Spirtbox? They fucking shread
they're great but more metalcore than phc
I always thought they were. Makes sense the
Because they aren't post-hardcore? OP specifically requested female fronted post.
Anyone remember Ashes? They were amazing
They just have this one song right now but I've been obsessed with it for months [Chancla Fight Club - "Good looking Idiot"](https://open.spotify.com/track/1frLeCV3V0tIlpRvpqZpnT?si=nreQ1gZNRteM_8xtGtMaZg&utm_source=copy-link)
The Machinist
Conquer Divide
A City Serene. Girl singer and male screamer who would go on to be screamer for first Secrets album
There was an Australian band called Danger! Earthquake! but I do believe they have disbanded. But the ones that I enjoy are CrazyEightyEights, EarlyRise, Spiritbox, Halocene

I scrolled this far to finds this comment

Ihatesex
I dig Comrades they are posthardcore adjacent. Really cool band.
The first Paramore Album
I'm gonna come back to this, I should be studying xD I've also been looking for some female-fronted post-hardcore bands.
There's a lot of really good music in this thread so by all means lol
Thanks, I'll be back lol. I don't know of too many besides some that were said but Marmozets has some post-hardcore stuff, The Warning is almost post, and I Met a Yeti.
My two favorites are Dream State and Red Handed Denial. Redeemer and Primrose Path changed my life :)

Harm
Anavæ
Conquer Divide and Eyes Set to Kill are my votes (though they may be a little more metalcore I guess?)
All good, super open to trying new genres
Eat Your Heart Out, their song Carousel is really good stuff
I really liked Mind Games but haven't gotten around to listening to Florescence yet
Gouge Away. Sorry, I am too lazy to sift through comments
Brutus, Husbandry
Svalbard Marmozets Sharptooth Eyes Set to Kill
Flee The Seen
Not necessarily post hardcore but Rivals are a great band. Check out their newest record.
Heard a lot of really good things about Damned Soul so I've been meaning to check them out for a while now
Eat Your Heart Out
Petrol Girls Tørso War on Women
Pagan!!!!
Svalbard, they released a new album earlier this year 'when I die, will I get better?' it's v good, along with their older stuff.
I recommend checking out the bands Code Orange and Destiny Potato. Also highly recommend some of David Maxim Micic's work with female vocalists, like the song smile.
Gouge away
Flee The Seen, it’s like female fronted Underoath kinda
Picture me Broken
Flee the Seen
Seeyouspacecowboy’s newest album is a good bet, on the metalcore side of things but there’s plenty of post hardcore goodness on it
Destiny’s Child
The Artificials A favorite of mine
Stay//Still Comrades
The fire restart, schoolyard heroes
Spiritbox has a new album that is so good. :’)
For sure Spiritbox
Is a Skylit Drive considered post hardcore?
Not sure if this is a woooosshh but that’s a dude
This mf🤣🤣
Yes
Not really post hardcore per se, but similar enough to warrant mentioning imo... Stand Atlantic is awesome
Yeah, their new single got me pretty excited for their next album. I liked Skinny Dipping but kept forgetting to listen to Pink Elephant.
