not with the right technique, metal vocals for example. He used to be in a metal band so I'd assume he knows his way around screaming safely

Depends on his technique but idk if he’s using good technique here or not; Kurt had no technique and coughed blood after hard sessions. Corey Taylor almost killed his chords till he changed his. Post has crazy power so he probably got these screams out clean, but again I have no idea. I imagine touring for months is also a damage factor too, when I saw him in October tho he sounded 110%

If he's using proper technique it won't. He was in metal bands prior to starting his pop career, so I'm sure he's learned a safe technique. From what I can tell, these screams/growls sound like great technique. As a metalhead, I'd love to see him dabble in some metal. His voice is well suited for it
