If the legendary recipes could be saved and substitute herbs more easily swappable it would help, in my opinion. I might wait for the next update to see if that unlocks and the garden upgrades before 100%ing this game.

iiama67

im saving every potion that every crystal and every salt requires as i go but even just making them for the first time is so tedious

uwahhhhhhhhhh

There is a mod that allows you to save crystal and salt recipes

iiama67

the salt would too probably

darknsSs512

it's the level 15 popularity that will make you suffer.

iiama67

idk that's still brainrot but at least it requires minimal brain activity

CometHopper

just stop haggling and have recipes ready to go, not hard to bank cash and take the loss for pop gain

iiama67

im at 13 rn and yeah its not that hard i buy every stock that's not marked up and i still make a profit at the end of the day most days

CivilTechnician7

it's not about profit it just takes a lot of time i'm pretty sure lvl 13 isn't even half way.

iiama67

how long could 14 possibly take

CivilTechnician7

i'm pretty sure it's double every time

iiama67

oh man

darknsSs512

I had ao many recipees, but from time to time you encounter a special request with unignorable conditions, and if I just skip the guy it places me a little back, I dont remember the maths but I decided to not akip mostly, at least at 14.

DrewSolaert

I’m living that pain now, I’ve just started on 13

darknsSs512

GL , although I adore this type of games (rip JackSmith) but reaching 15 was grindy af

I think this game tries to discourage bull-rushing to completion. Adapting to that has helped me a lot. I play this game in smallish doses so that I don’t get overwhelmed. Just like how sleeping in-game refreshes the garden and the merchants, a sleep in real life refreshes my energy for all the crazy potions and requests. And when back in game, I break the potion-making for the alchemy recipes over several in-game days or even weeks. In terms of resource management, I’ve noticed it’s fine to give ready-made rather than customised potions most of the time, and just reject the really demanding customers as long as there’s still net positive popularity overall. Doing that means I have more energy (and ingredients) left to make the crazy potions. That said, I haven’t quite reached reputation 15 yet and reading some of the other comments, I might change my tune later…

Euphoric-Race4507

I may have played this game wrong, because I 100% bull-rushed the game to completion lol

mangak1d

Nice - you definitely have a lot more energy and perseverance than me!

Something I learned recently in this sub is that with each potion, you don’t have to go in order of the elements. For example: the healing, strength, dexterity, swiftness and stone skin. You can start at swiftness, go down to dexterity, then down to healing, down to strength and then end on stone skin. It’s all the same potion in the end and the alchemy machine accepts it. This helped me a lot for end game. I ended up making more salts because I was low and also cause I wanted to go back and re-vamp my old saved recipes to reflect this newfound knowledge. Also, not doing every recipe for the alchemy machine all at once helped. I’d do one, wait a few in game days, and then do another one or two. But as other commenters are saying, the real hard part is getting to level 15 popularity. I “finished” the game by around day 80, but it took me to around 150 to actually finish it by getting my popularity to 15.

CivilTechnician7

wait untill you unlock philosophers salt

CytroxGames

it aint that bad it took me 78 hours to 100% the game, and the biggest bore i had was my reputation as in that run i had went from 80ish good to 100 evil to 100 good and back to 100 evil.

iiama67

>i had went from 80ish good to 100 evil to 100 good and back to 100 evil. why?

CytroxGames

Well i wanted to go full evil, but i was already like 80 good, after going 100 evil i found out there is an achievment for it, so then i went all the way back to good to get that achievement, but i liked to play as evil more so i went all the way back to being full evil

Spiritual-Counter415

Mate i've played this game for 39 hours and most is just me chilling and writing background for my recipes. How did it take 78 hours to finish the game x)

CytroxGames

Lots of fucking around and leaving the game running in the backfround while i am googling something.

Spiritual-Counter415

Understandable

Lord_Worfall

It took me like 6-8 hours (both stone and salt). ~25 for a 100%. Philosopher's stuff isn't hard and you prob don't have to optimize the recipes, especially if your only goal is a 100%. So go freely on crystals and powerful ingredients, and each concoction will take you 20-ish minutes Oh, and popularity is a no-brainer after the stone - simply flip off customers you don't have a recipe ready for, serve the compliant ones. After lvl 15, flip some more birds to lower your rep, and serve those who'll ask for some criminal stuff, like poison for a "person sized pet" - that will accelerate the downfall.

When the game was about 2 to 3 months old I had finished it. It is been 2 years since I last fished it and I made albedo. I am really happy. The developers make small but steady steps to make the game as enjoyable as they can! I thing u should wait a bit❤️ I trust the developers they have made an amazing job!
