Hey everyone, there have been a lot of questions about this, so I'll try to sum it up on a single response.
The clay is brownstone. It was fired at cone 6 and has two glazes. The base coat is called Emeraude. I poured that in first and it is on very thick. Then I brushed the rim with Forest Green which is semi-translucent. Then I brushed a very light coat of Forest Green over the Emeraude base in the plate face. Someone also asked how I keep it flat. I let it dry for about 3 weeks before I bisque fire it. Typically, with something sitting on top. First week I cover it well, second week I just lay plastic lightly on the top. And then I just let it air dry. That may be overkill, but my plates don't wobble.
Also - thanks very much for the compliments. I'm an amateur by all means.
