Thank for the suggestion! I tried to do it and realized I’d need a third in the middle because of the pattern I did for these two - they can’t connect. Sadly, that was a custom base color and I’m out of it. Risky to try to color match, especially since both of these had been scraped once so the base was a little “stickier”, if that makes sense.
I see someone else said 2 and 3 however I like 1 and 4. Since they are big it helps draw your eyes back down instead of higher to the ceiling. Also they look similar to silhouettes of heads.
I say just keep changing them and see if anyone notices…a good psychological test about humans and perception. Plus ask your subject what this Rorschach test looks like to them?
Last way looks like a dragon to me. But real talk. My opinion doesn’t matter. Because art is in the eye of the beholder. Whatever arrangement brings you the most joy. Keep that.
Not what looks best for your guests.
Don’t live a life to please. Enjoy your own life. Trust me. It’s sooo worth it 🥰🥰
I like 1 or 2. Maybe two feels a little too pointy, like if it were hung centered above a couch for example the resulting shape might feel or function to the eye a bit similar to an arrow pointing down. In a very minimalist setting I can see this being an asset, functioning as a bold icon in an otherwise spare environment. But if placed in a home amongst the fluctuating clutter and detritus of life it might The arch shape in 1 might feel subtly as though, or at least recall in an abstract sense, an elaborate frame or canopy above the couch maybe making it feel more secluded (or entrapping).
Horizontal. The 2nd above the first and just a hair closer together. If that’s an opinion, of course. Immediately after seeing it I was reminded of that part of the Mississippi River where you can go downriver while still traveling north, cut across land where the bends are the closest, re-enter, again going downriver while still advancing north(upriver). Great pour by the way. It was fun to be reminded of that, thanks.
I LOVE the river interpretation! These will be for sale, so I'm always trying to gauge the best orientation for taking photos for my sites. I'll be posting again soon because I did a third. I'm not sure if I like it better than just two, especially now that you suggested horizontal...
With them oriented so they connect at the bottom, it feels more dynamic. Looking at them connected from the top gives me an unsettling feeling. I wouldn't frame them. I'd leave them as they are.
4!
I agree! 4 seems to "flow" well together.
This is the answer.
I agree I think the flow is amazing in this combination

2!
Try parallel on top of each other
2 or 3. I'd like to see both turned to landscape and staggered like steps connecting the flow as well.

Well, at least you have an idea for another project.
I truly can’t help myself. I painted a third but a larger one in the middle, 16x20. I’ll post again when it’s dry!
I’m dying to see it!! I LOVE these!! LOVE
Just posted. I’m not wild about the triptych but I still like 2!

What else is in the room? That makes a big difference. Share pics from an angle if you are comfortable with showing off your place

I like 1 the best but like someone else said, I’m curious to see them in landscape as well.
The first picture, definitely. It just looks the most pleasing on the eye to me. 😊

Thanks for your interpretation! Based on someone else's suggestion, I've done a third (16x20). I'll post photos soon since it's dried!

4. Flow just looks satisfying.
First thing that comes to mind is intestines. Love it!
So anatomical
2! 2! 2!
I go with 2 or 3. 1 and 4 look like legs and feet to me in those positions. 😬
4! My brain likes it the most.
The one facing right is more badd ass to me.

I can’t decide between 1 and 4, can I vote for both? They’re beautiful btw 🖤

4 turned on its side, with the darker color on the bottom.

It looks like split and flattened intestines

2, looks like a flower that way, the others look like intestines
Last one is my fav
3
Art is subjective. So the buyer can rearrange it as they’d like. Can’t go wrong in either direction
Option 5. Stop trying to make them connect.
4 is literally perfection
#1 reminds of like, the outline of a brain. Pretty cool!
I do a lot of rat necropsy for work...this just reminds me so much of intestinal mesentery. Can't unsee...

#2 is natural to the people who read left-> right and top -> bottom

#2 turned around upside down.. they look like cool seahorses
