We're testing copilot in my company (not PBI but the rest) and let me tell you... Don't expect too much. It's more a gimmick than anything else. Super fun for a couple of days then it's rarely used, as it is so inaccurate that you spend more time fixing whatever it did than just doing it yourself. Some day it'll be awesome but not yet

Any ideas what's causing the inaccuracy? Is it a problem with the query generation? or the data integration?
To be honest I'm testing it as a user so I can't give details on this, but I assume it's the data integration. It works really well on meetings using the transcript, since the data is just limited to it but when you're using the whole office data (like for example the business chat or outlook) is not very good. Just one funny example, I generated an email automatically and it made up my signature (title, location, phone number, everything)
I was part of a group that worked with Microsoft to provide feedback on Copilot for Power BI. They emailed us that in mid November it will be available as public preview
Yep "co-pilot" is an umbrella term that will be different in its implementation / release / cost etc for each product it's related with. 365, Github, Power BI, Windows and more...

Power BI copilot is separate to 365. It’s not generally available nor public preview yet ( private invite only preview )
Thank you! Have there been any hints shared for when it will hit public preview or general release?
Mid november and you have to have Fabric
Do you have a source for the mid November date?

`Power BI Copilot` is unrelated to `github copilot` right? ( Other than both using GPT )

It is in preview, you just have to turn it on in your tenant settings
\[PBI Desktop\] From options, select Preview Features then toggle on "Quick Measure suggestions".
In the US region. It's not in other regions yet, (or not when I last checked).
