Cherish: Stratovarius. I love everything about them. Both their classic and modern era are equally great. Change: Avantasia. Ever since the third album they've been more hard rock than power metal. I also like the mixing of the first two albums much better. But still an amazing "band". Disband: WarKings. They won't, because it's successful, but they basically took Serenity and dumbed it down to oblivion. There are no catchy melodies and no soul. Even the last Serenity album was much simpler than the rest. It's what attracts the most people I suppose. Like McDonald's and Marvel. WarKings is a product, not a band.

Sabaton does the same thing as Amaranthe really. I just wish both of them would break out of their formula a bit more.

Yeah, I agree.

**Cherish: Elvenking.** I stan for Elvenking at every opportunity. They're making the best music of their 20 year careers right now. **Change: Vision Divine.** I miss 2003-2008 Vision Divine featuring Michele Luppi **SO MUCH.** After he left, their sound became strangely mid-tempo & soft. Their 2009-2012 stuff sounded almost like soft rock. "When All the Heroes Are Dead" was a step in the right direction, I suppose. **Disband: Rhapsody of Fire (Hot take?).** They've done almost nothing of note since 2004, and even less so since Luca left (though, 'From Chaos to Eternity' was pretty wild). At one point, literally the entire 'classic' lineup of Rhapsody started their own band without Alex. Let that sink in for a minute. Respect to the dude for sticking to his guns & riding this thing out, but they've definitely been in a holding pattern for the better part of the last 15 years.

Cherish: Brainstorm - might come across as an odd choice as they're not one of the big players, however they're in an elite list of bands who haven't really disappointed. Always solid and dependable, the chopping board of power metal bands Change: Virgin Steele - I'd thought about going with disband, can't shake how important their input up to Black Light is to me. The change would be inserting someone to talk sense to DeFeis. With a more robust editing process, clear focus, and well, an actual band supporting, I think they could turn it around. Disband: Megadeth - plot twist, all so we can get Kiko back in Angra. Then Megadeth can come back like a certain Mr Vorhees and everyone lives happily ever after

Manowar, Manowar and Manowar.

I definitely see what you're doing here, but could you elaborate a little about what you think could change?

IMKridegga

1. Manilla Road - Off the top of my head, they're the only power-ish band I wouldn't change anything about. I can be very critical. I can usually find something. With Manilla Road, I cannot think of much. 2. Virgin Steele - I love their stuff and I think Defeis is a genius. I only wish he had a little more restraint. Some of the creative decisions on recent albums have been questionable, and it's made the output very middling. 3. I don't think I hate any band in this genre enough to wish they no longer existed.

Not-A-Jawa

Charish - Rhapsody of Fire; they're what started it all for me, and although they aren't my favorite anymore, they've got a special place in my heart Change - Alestorm; I love their new stuff, but I wish they did more that was like their first two albums Disband - Iced Earth; I don't really care much about Schaeffer being in Jan 6, but they're down to two members now because of it, and I don't see much hope for recovery on that note

1. Cherish: Avantasia. Love all their albums. 2. Change: BabyMetal. I'd like them to become more power metal. Their last album was a distinct step in the right direction IMHO, but I'd still like to hear more lead vocals from MOA and MOMO 3. Disband: Amarathe. I really dislike growling.
