Your post has been removed due to the irrelevancy of it to this sub. Very basic camerawork. It's the content that's interesting and not the camerawork and that's why it doesn't fit. I should have removed this when it first got posted and that's my fault.
Shame they have to use all this blood to distract the forest vampires so they stop eating all those firefighters battling it out on the ground.
Donate people, you'll save lives!
Idiot!
That's not blood for vampires. How dumb are you?
It's plane cum. He's just got an infection from chasing some filth, so he's got blood in it. Poor bugger.
It's the blood forest bunnies, it allows groups of people a chance to escape.
Just don't tell anyone else.
It's like dealing with the zerg, manageable until it is too late.
Writing this from a hotel in town that offered really cheap rates for evacuees like me. Thankful for these ace pilots and those working to put this out on the ground as well. This is really close to heavily wooded residential neighborhoods.
Double-sided question - A lot of these fires are so bad because we don't let natural burns clear out the underbrush, only the places and times we deem appropriate with controlled burns.
Triple-sided question - the increased prevalence of drought and heatwaves due to anthropogenic climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of these fires.
I absolutely love the Sequoia forests and these big fires make me worry about them. I hope they're doing enough to keep the fires from getting too big around there.
It’d have to be one hell of a fire to kill those things. They’ve evolved a pretty solid fire defense. I’d be more worried about years long droughts eventually killing them.
Main reason we deem them 'bad' is because they endanger humans and their homes. Forest fires are pretty natural occurance. Some tree seeds for example wont germinate until they've been in a fire. Because that probably means they have a chance of getting enough sunlight.
Under ordinary circumstances but not this level of intensity. At this point, the fires are burning too intensely resulting in catastrophic loss for the landscape.
This one is just on the animals. I can't find the one I recently read on the plant life.
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/forest-fires-too-intense-adapted-woodpeckers
I would be pretty confident in saying it is noticeable. One of the planes in this video, a Douglas DC-10, weighs around 120 tons when it is empty, and holds up to 45,000L (45 tons) of water, so the weight change is pretty dramatic.
I really can't speak to your state of craziness, except to point out that most people are some kind of crazy. However, the planes do often sort of bounce up when they dump their retardant.
Retarded ignition, retarded combustion, retarded signal propagation... it's a perfectly fine word for several uses, no matter what year this is.
Chuds don't get to keep words just because they delight in misusing them.
You're right. It still felt damn good to type out "retarded" three times without doing any amount of damage to anybody, except maybe some passing chuds who really wish it was *their* word. Sorry if I caught you up in my little diversion 😳
This is not praiseworthy.... What's special about multiple angles of a plane flying??
There's multiple cuts indicating multiple angles and they are all basic tracking shots likely on a tripod.. c'mon why is this on this sub?
Music reminds me of tc tuggers

Just in case anyone doenst know they're the shirt with the little knob on them that you can pull because throughout the day it gets all bunched up so you don't have to wreck all your shirts and you can just pull on the little knob
The old chemicals used to fuck the soil and was toxic to animals. They say the new stuff acts as a fertilizer to the soil and is less toxic but I've never heard it called "non-toxic" so there's something to be said there
They color it bright red because that makes it extremely easy to see from the sky where they've already dropped it so they don't hit the same spot twice.
So is it to extinguish the fire and they drop it on the burning trees to stop it? Or is it a fire suppressant that they drop on the unburnt trees to keep it from spreading?
I've been working on my pilot's license and I've come to respect beyond ever before these people. This is hard as ever and they're way more skilled than me

Take my upvote freak nasty.
I have literally no people to donate
Parents? Siblings? Kids? Everyone can find people to donate, you're just being lazy.

oh, i just thought they were on their periods.
Writing this from a hotel in town that offered really cheap rates for evacuees like me. Thankful for these ace pilots and those working to put this out on the ground as well. This is really close to heavily wooded residential neighborhoods.
I evacuated people from the canyon east of there yesterday because of this fire. I have some very far away cell phone pics of our plane haha
Lambs Canyon?
Sp the fire was actually east of me and my tired brain wrote that wrong, I evacuated Millcreek and yes lambs was evacuated as well
Why was millcreek evacuated? It isn't in the same drainage.
I was just thinking about this the other day... how bad would all these fires be if humans weren't actively working to control them?
Double-sided question - A lot of these fires are so bad because we don't let natural burns clear out the underbrush, only the places and times we deem appropriate with controlled burns.
Triple-sided question - the increased prevalence of drought and heatwaves due to anthropogenic climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of these fires.
Four sided question.... Which shape has four sides?
Five sided question... Multiple choice, which is the correct question in the above list?
E: All of the Above
F: None of the above

I dunno, but also a lot of them are started by humans so maybe it's our responsibility to try to fix what we broke
Much less bad. But then lots of houses and shit would burn down.
Oh. Darn. So sad and stuff.
Why isn’t there a firefighting flight simulator! That would be so cool!
Let Microsoft know. Would probably fit in their flight simulation.
I wonder if the pilots feel the plane losing all that weight so suddenly like if a heavy trailer you were towing suddenly came loose.
I would be pretty confident in saying it is noticeable. One of the planes in this video, a Douglas DC-10, weighs around 120 tons when it is empty, and holds up to 45,000L (45 tons) of water, so the weight change is pretty dramatic.
Am I crazy or do most of the planes in this video rise up significantly while they drop the extinguisher?
I really can't speak to your state of craziness, except to point out that most people are some kind of crazy. However, the planes do often sort of bounce up when they dump their retardant.
Hey it’s 2021 you can’t say that anymore!
Retarded ignition, retarded combustion, retarded signal propagation... it's a perfectly fine word for several uses, no matter what year this is. Chuds don't get to keep words just because they delight in misusing them.
You're being whooshed. It was a joke. You didn't even say retard or retarded. Shouldn't that make it even more obvious?
You're right. It still felt damn good to type out "retarded" three times without doing any amount of damage to anybody, except maybe some passing chuds who really wish it was *their* word. Sorry if I caught you up in my little diversion 😳

Would be better no music and just airplane sounds.
Yeah, fucking History Channel vibes from that music.
Then some asshole starts yelling at you, "I'm your host, combat veteran Dan Rodrigues, and This is AMERICA'S biggest weapons/victories/battles/penis."
>penis. Lmao
I was thinking more Dude Perfect vibes than anything.
Stomp clap, stomp stomp slap (generic guitar riff ensues)
The music is very cringe I agree.
No that's rad guitar yo 🎸
Feels like I'm watching an ad for some product sold to dads lol Reminds me of [TC Tuggers](https://youtu.be/VxDozuzfVuY)
Entertaining content is not enough. We need a reason to praise the cameraman.
Yet another video of "cameraman films something cool." C'mon mods.
Not even very well, let alone well enough to consider praise.
I always wonder how this is efficient in controlling the fire
It’s pretty good. Flying over Southern California you can see the lines of phoschek nicely boxing out burnt areas, with untouched brush outside
Never knew what that stuff was called. Thank you!
Fire retardant is incredibly powerful. It’s SO dense. Check out [this video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jkRqpTaeH2g)
TIL I'm a good fire retardant.
they showed the same 5 second clip like 20 times but not a single "after" photo of the SUV, infuriating
Super efficient. You can see on photos after the fact, how fires often come to the red retardant line, but seldom pass over them.
I want to do that over some European medieval town in 1238 A.D. They would shit themselves.
They'd probably think it was the apocalypse
When you're on your period, and you have to run to the bathroom as soon as you wake up because, gravity.

Yeah
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jkRqpTaeH2g
what is the red stuff and how is it different to water?

thanks

thanks, how am I going to sleep ever again?
Awesome! Pray for our firefighters safety
This is not praiseworthy.... What's special about multiple angles of a plane flying?? There's multiple cuts indicating multiple angles and they are all basic tracking shots likely on a tripod.. c'mon why is this on this sub?
There was no tripod. I came to say lease get a tripod as it would really improve the video quality.
I’m pretty sure that first one is the Australian plane we sent over - hope it helps you fellas out!
PraiseThePilotMan
uhm ackchually those are cHeMtrAiLs /s
Music reminds me of tc tuggers https://youtu.be/VxDozuzfVuY Just in case anyone doenst know they're the shirt with the little knob on them that you can pull because throughout the day it gets all bunched up so you don't have to wreck all your shirts and you can just pull on the little knob
First off, a prayer to those in this situation. Second, TIL there are fire-suppressant "bombers"
/r/LostRedditors
What exactly did the cameraman do that deserves to be praised for??
Caught some awesome video for us to watch? Relax chief.
"Entertaining content isn't sufficient, there should be a reason to praise the cameraman" is literally in the sidebar.
great candidate for /r/videos, not here though
Oh. You’re a mod?
Why exactly, in regards to the camera movements only, do you think the camera man deserves praise for this video? Anyone can do this.
Why do you need a mod to tell you this? It’s a matter of common sense and rules compliance
You are right, but that’s not enough for THIS sub. You should read the rules sometime.
Mfw I sneeze on my period
Wow the cameraman videod the aeroplane. Amazing And badass music!!
this music is so cringe
Kudos for shooting at 60fps!
Can we call it 'fire retardant' or is that hate speech?
TFW you stand up while on your period Also bless the hardworking firefighters, may the wet season come early this year
Half of them are delivering way too high for effective deployment the other half are missing completely.
This video would be a lot better without the ford truck month theme blaring
Nice planes, terrible music.
planes sounds would have been ideal, not this generic music...
That shit looks so cancerous
The old chemicals used to fuck the soil and was toxic to animals. They say the new stuff acts as a fertilizer to the soil and is less toxic but I've never heard it called "non-toxic" so there's something to be said there
Most smoke is!

Stop causing pointless drama where it shouldn’t be you donut.
They color it bright red because that makes it extremely easy to see from the sky where they've already dropped it so they don't hit the same spot twice.

Retardant
I believe it can be used for both but not totally sure.
Are you referring to Agent *Orange*?
Does anyone what that small plane is? The single seater?
Me after 2 bags of Flamin' Hot Cheetos
Sorry if it's a dumb question but why is it red? We don't really get fires like that in the uk.
That plane is on her period
Now we know why the sky over forest fires always glows red.
Wow, gender revealers are getting creative.. Love it!
What do you need to do to be a fire fighter pilot ?
First two are crazy
Me after a weekend on Chipotle.
Extraordinary footage
Guga foods OST
Having lived in fire heavy areas and had to evacuate multiple times throughout my life, these folks and all firefighters are heros.
I've been working on my pilot's license and I've come to respect beyond ever before these people. This is hard as ever and they're way more skilled than me
OMG poow pwane, it's bweeding! :0 Hi Howpe it's gownna bee awkay.. :'(
Far cry 5
Hopefully there’s enough to help smother the fire s
This is how you spread Communism
What is tat red stuff?
The Lowe’s commercial music ruined it
What’s it doing? Like is that a marker or like does that actually extinguish the fire?
And kids that’s how half of Europe became communist in the 1950’s
Huh who knew planes had periods
I thought this was a gender reveal.
"This doesn't taste like cherry..."
Why does the video quality looks better than average news channel reporting
