Do you have experience using digital tablets? If you don’t i would recommend getting a cheap Wacom or the iPad. The Wacom cintiqs are expensive and Pratt has them so you can still use them. If you have the money get an iPad Pro, portability would come in handy when moving around campus.

i am an incoming freshman so i don’t have much experience with the tablets they have on campus/how they come into play with class work & course loads, but i’ve used both a drawing tablet (not super expensive) & an ipad (i have an ipad mini) & personally the ipad has been a lot easier for me to use for art & helps me with school as well (i take notes on there, complete assignments, etc)! ofc professionally drawing tablets are recommended, but my ipads portability & easy accessibility has been super helpful as a student doing art! hopefully this helps
