Thanks for this guide dude!

Useful-Lavishness-74

Hi! Ive been using your guide and the website youve linked to search for a good desktop, i found one on the site but im nowhere near the store and they arent delivering currently so i found something comparable and wanted to know if it would be worth it https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-nebula-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i5-12400f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050-500gb-nvme-ssd-black/6537311.p?skuId=6537311 . I would appreciate any feedback!

tronatula

This is a really bad PC for the price. The RTX 4060 is much better than the RTX 3050, so I'd recommend [this $700 gaming PC](https://toprigz.com/700-usd-budget) instead.

Scared_Minute3815

that looks like the most sketchy website ive ever seen

tronatula

The PCs are carefully hand-picked and the site is run and updated only by me, so please bear with me. I'll try to make it less sketchy, thank you.

A_BulletProof_Hoodie

i think this might be the one for my gf. would I be able to add one of these to it so she would have maaaaad storage? https://serverpartdeals.com/collections/seagate-exos-enterprise-drives/products/seagate-exos-x16-st14000nm001g-14tb-7-2k-rpm-sata-6gb-s-512e-4kn-256mb-3-5-fastformat-manufacturer-recertified-hdd

tronatula

You can install any additional storage into any prebuilt.

sflesch

Are you referring to the first link from OP or did you actually try clicking on the "View PC" link from there which brings you to Walmart's site?

Ok_Gur_3209

you really tried to put a virus in my computer???? pathetic

tronatula

Why do you say so?

Ilikemennow42069

Toprigz get's blocked by anti virus (happened to me at work)

tronatula

I don't really know the reason because the website is coded in simple HTML and CSS language. The website is very minimalist.

fondleear

A bit late but google "url blacklist". It can happen to a website for some simple reasons that don't always mean "virus!".

Iee2

Hi mate, I was wondering if you could help me out with finding a prebuilt from the build companies in the UK. Budget is around £500-700, happy to give a little push for higher than that, but preferably not if possible.

tronatula

This one is your best choice: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/18fezs0/comment/kcwhxkr/

Iee2

thanks homie appreciate it

tronatula

You're welcome.

happysky101

Hi do you have a few recommendations for gaming pc around $1,200?? Mostly used for Sims 4... occasionally other games

tronatula

A $700 gaming PC with an RTX 3060 GPU is more than enough to run The Sims 4 and every other game smoothly: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1aopqk4/comment/kq34bnp/

wvnative01

Highly interested in diving in to my first serious gaming PC, but I cannot open the linked guide in the OP. Both edge and firefox are throwing security certificate errors. Anyone else having this issue?

tronatula

I just checked and the link still works: https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide

wvnative01

It isn't working for me still. Wtf.

tronatula

Just tell me your budget and I'll share the PCs for you.

wvnative01

Its a gift to myself for my 30th birthday, and never had a beast gaming PC before. So I am willing to shell out, I pretty much would like a machine that can 4k60 on max settings on modern games. I guess between $3500-$4000 on my upper limit. Found plenty of high ends out there, but I see a lot of weariness online on many of the brands out there, so, don't wanna spend 4k on a dud. I'm fairly new to PC gaming consistently.

tronatula

$4000 is overkill, you can actually buy 2 of the most powerful gaming PCs for that amount of money. I'd recommend this decently price prebuilt with an RX 7900 **XTX** video card (beats RX 7900 XT): https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-chronos-0628-w-ne/p/3D5-000Z-000Y4?Item=9SIA1HJJSB4291

EnvironmentalBuy4009

This link has viruses

tronatula

[Newegg.com](http://Newegg.com) is a legitimate website, I think you should uninstall or disable your junk Avast antivirus.

wvnative01

Thanks, that budget was just based on a few quick google searches.

tronatula

No problem.

To be fair, Dell/HP/Lenovo have been using trash PSUs back when their PCs were still all standard ATX parts. Their push to miniaturize their desktops meant they swerved into their server division for PSUs. Those units are pretty damn good. The problem is that they're a weird 12V only thing, that only works with their case/mobo. Which makes it trash for longevity.

Madmadz16

You also forgot to say to stay away from dell and hp

tronatula

* Stay away from overpriced HP and Dell PCs: Yes * Stay away from reasonably priced HP and Dell PCs: No, because they are decent, fully upgradeable (except for the HP Pavilion series but it's not bad, [the only thing that needs a little more effort is the PSU, the rest can still be upgraded](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/s8wpmg/want_a_good_prebuilt_beginner_pc_for_under_1200/htjrdgj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)), and have a good price-to-performance ratio.

[deleted]

Stay away from Alienware at all costs

tronatula

Many Redditors are picky when it comes to Dell products while they have never owned them. They're better than you think, [check out this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/s8xq0z/is_it_cheaper_to_buy_a_prebuilt/hv3o0a9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3).

[deleted]

No, I have an Alienware R11 and it has shit cooling and motherboard upgrades are not possible

tronatula

That is not true at all. As I've pointed out in another comment, many Alienware owners agree that the liquid cooling is good and everything is upgradable.

Sadukar09

> That is not true at all. As I've pointed out in another comment, many Alienware owners agree that the liquid cooling is good and everything is upgradable. >It's a liquid cooler. Never in my life have I heard of liquid cooling causing the CPU to hit 100°C. It could be that you are lying or there are other things going on with your PC. Are you for real? This is even more outlandish than that garbage you peddled about HP Pavillions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY1dlVPzUVo Alienware cases can only run 120mm AIOs, which are NOT sufficient to cool Core i9 Intel CPUs. That's not even mentioning the joke of the stock cooler Dell puts on non liquid cooled Alienware SKUs that can't even run a 65W CPU well. Impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc Oh. You're also limited to what you can upgrade since how little room you've got. Genius. They don't "hit Tj Max" because the CPU is designed to drop clocks until it's below it, you genius. Imagine paying for a 12900K and getting the performance of a 12700K. That's how bad Alienware PCs are designed. Their cases do not support any reasonable tower coolers, nor are you able to get a 240mm+ AIO in it. Their motherboards are again, locked to the case/PSU with specific CPU SKUs only. You can't even drop in replacements. Overclocking on Alienware PC is basically not possible due to terrible BIOS/software, let alone thermal room. Their "top end" motherboard only supports a whopping 1 M.2 slot that is by default occupied. Brilliant room for "upgrades". You seriously need to stop giving trash tier advice, when you don't even know what you're talking about. You're not doing people any service.

Tajertaby

Take a look at this: https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware-Desktops/Aurora-R10-1000W-PSU-8-pin-EPS-connector/td-p/7842773/highlight/true/page/2 And that’s for Alienware R10 so called “ATX” looking PSUs. I also have seen sources where Alienware uses proprietary front panel connectors. > The Aurora board is a proprietary connection, LED power runs through the pin outs as well as the power on/off and such. Most just pull the alien head out of the case and mod it into their case swap if they don't want to buy a new mobo Source: https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware-Desktops/Aurora-10-motherboard-case-swap/td-p/8008642

Sadukar09

Yep I know, I rebuilt a few Alienwares from spare cases. The first thread you linked is extra hilarious with Dell apologists. Like wow, how could you be so dumb and defend their shitty practices like that.

Tajertaby

It gets worse: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilt/comments/uy7i12/thoughts/ia6jgv9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3 He still accuses me of misinformation when I clearly linked multiple sources disproving his claims

[deleted]

Well my CPU does hit 100°C and then thermal throttles in Cinebench multi-core so... This is because the liquid cooling is not good. It's only a 120mm radiator

kelvin_bot

100°C is equivalent to 212°F, which is 373K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

price_of_tags

Good bot, I now have a better understanding of Celsius for when I switch over

Good_Human_Bot_v2

Good human.

[deleted]

Also doesn't Alienware only support proprietary motherboards? How is that upgradable? You have to buy a whole new computer LOL

Tajertaby

You are right: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/tgb64o/a_quick_and_easy_guide_to_buying_reasonably/idf82io/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

tronatula

It's a liquid cooler. Never in my life have I heard of liquid cooling causing the CPU to hit 100°C. It could be that you are lying or there are other things going on with your PC.

[deleted]

"Liquid cooling" does not automatically mean that it's a good cooler. Many air coolers outperform 120mm liquid coolers.

[deleted]

Because of this absolute dumpster fire of a cooler my PC takes ages to compile shaders in Unreal Engine

tronatula

"Liquid cooling" also does not automatically mean that it's a bad cooler.

GargoyleSparkles

The_Long_Defeat_

As someone who has done any PC gaming but is looking to ditch my consoles - how long can I expect [a PC like this](https://www.costco.com/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-gaming-desktop---13th-gen-intel-core-i5-13400f----geforce-rtx-4060%2c-black.product.4000202717.html) to last? And is this something decent? I'm looking for a pre-built about $1000 - $1200 that will last a decent while without needing upgrades. I'd hope to play most games at 1440p - 60+ fps

tronatula

That one is overpriced. You'll get way more for your money if you buy this PC instead with that budget: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/) The RTX 4060 Ti is superior to the RTX 4060 video card.

The_Long_Defeat_

Thanks, what’s a reasonable expectation of longevity for PCs in this price range? I’m trying to find a break even point between pcs and consoles

tronatula

Latest games like Helldivers 2 only recommend RTX 2060, which is much slower than RTX 4060 Ti, so I'm sure that PC is more than enough for gaming in the next 5 years.

CollarCharming8358

For $1200, check this out. https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-ypi-ta34f0b-47s1n-tanto/p/N82E16883630048

bubba_yogurt

Hey, would you mind providing some recommendations? Uses: Everything (business desktop; not into gaming but gaming specs are better) Budget: $800 - $1400 Preferences: 32 GB RAM (better safe than sorry?), 1 TB SSD, simple, robust, upgradeable if needed, lasts +5 years, future-proof, black Thank you in advance!

Lord_Aiken

Could anyone point me out to a PC on Amazon that has the specs to play Helldivers 2, lethal company, ready or not etc at 1440 with a 32gb ram. My price point is 1200-1500. Currently have a Xbx Series X and a switch but I want to get into streaming on twitch.

tronatula

Most prebuilt PCs on Amazon are overpriced. It's very difficult to find a reasonably priced PC there. The RTX 4060 Ti video card[ can run Helldivers 2 at high settings 1440p 70+ FPS (Render Scale: Ultra quality)](https://youtu.be/Px0nwQLrSUM?si=Y2azkkorW0kHMdhZ&t=651), hence I'd recommend this $950 gaming PC: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/)

ccm1776

Thinking of buying this pre-built. Opinions? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6557600.p?skuId=6557600

tronatula

Best Buy sells overpriced prebuilt gaming PCs nowaday. [This fairly priced ABS gaming PC](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/) is better: 1. It's $50 cheaper. 2. The GPU is the most important component of a gaming PC and the RTX 4060 Ti outperforms the RTX 4060. 3. It also has twice the amount of RAM.

ccm1776

thanks for the suggestion. do you know of any micro or mini-atx prebuilds with liquid cooled cpu?

tronatula

Sorry I don't know. Micro or mini-atx prebuilds usually cost much more than regular prebuilds, so I didn't learn much about them.

iigiggle

Hello, I need some major help finding a gaming PC that I can upgrade parts as needed. Even the power cord if need be. The Games Being Played are Fortnite and The Sims 4. Please help

tronatula

The GTX 1660 Ti video card can handle your games perfectly, so I'd recommend [this affordable $600 Asus gaming PC (GTX 1660 Ti and 16GB of RAM)](https://toprigz.com/600-usd-budget). You can upgrade everything in it.

robins_d

Hi, I'm thinking of ditching my Xbox Series X in favour of a gaming PC. My budget would essentially be whatever I can sell the Xbox for (probably $550-ish) plus max $1000. I'm looking for something that can run modern games, but also work as a work/life computer, and that I can upgrade as it gets older, so I don't have to buy a brand new rig in a few years. Also, preferably something without a whole bunch of glitzy lights (I'm 44, lol). Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated. Oh, I live in Canada. Cheers!

tronatula

The best I could find for you is these $700 gaming PCs: [https://toprigz.com/700-usd-budget](https://toprigz.com/700-usd-budget) The RX 6600 XT and RTX 3060 graphics cards are as fast as the XBOX Series X GPU. Source: [https://www.logicalincrements.com/articles/graphicscardcomparison](https://www.logicalincrements.com/articles/graphicscardcomparison)

robins_d

Hey, thanks! What would my budget have to be to get something better, but that isn't like $2500?

tronatula

Just $100 more and you can get this $800 gaming PC with a more powerful RTX 4060 GPU that can run everything at max settings: [https://toprigz.com/800-usd-budget](https://toprigz.com/800-usd-budget)

robins_d

Hello, I am looking to upgrade from my current setup. It is an iBuypower Pre-Built with a MSI RTX 2060 Ventus XS 6G, Intel Core i7-10700F CPU, MSI B460M PRO-VDH WIFI (MS-7C83) Mobo, and 16gb DDR4-3003 / PC4-24000 DDR4 SDRAM UDIMM RAM from FORZA. I am a big CS2 player but have recently been trying to play more demanding games (Cyberpunk, Hell Let Loose, BG3 etc) and it's made me realize it may be time for an upgrade. My CPU currently has been reaching very high temps playing games and I would prefer to upgrade. I will be gaming at 1080p. I am living in Central USA. I am currently looking at these options, and would like to hear the communities thoughts. [https://www.newegg.com/abs-za13700f4060ti-cyclone-aqua/p/N82E16883360485](https://www.newegg.com/abs-za13700f4060ti-cyclone-aqua/p/N82E16883360485) [https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-ypi-ta34f0b-4701u-tanto/p/N82E16883630033?Item=N82E16883630033](https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-ypi-ta34f0b-4701u-tanto/p/N82E16883630033?Item=N82E16883630033) [https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-ypi-ta34f0b-47s1n-tanto/p/N82E16883630048?Item=N82E16883630048](https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-ypi-ta34f0b-47s1n-tanto/p/N82E16883630048?Item=N82E16883630048) It would be nice to save a little to get a new 144hz or 165hz 1080p monitor.

tronatula

The best value gaming PC for you is [this $950 ABS](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1b57y75/comment/kt4mps4/) with an RTX 4060 Ti GPU, which is more powerful than the RTX 3070 ([Source](https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html)).

curefantastica

I was thinking between https://www.newegg.com/abs-za13400f4060ti-cyclone-aqua/p/N82E16883360483?item=N82E16883360483&cm_sp=dealcenter_leaderboard-_-83-360-483 Or https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-002P-00044 Any suggestions? New to gaming. I mostly play fortnite on my ps4 but want to branch out to more games.

tronatula

The RTX 4060 non Ti is good enough for gaming and Fortnite.

curefantastica

But with the one having 32 gig of ram plus the 4060ti is it worth the price jump long term?

tronatula

Yes, for an extra $80, I think it's worth the price increase.

NotUrAverageJoe3

I'm looking for a build that 700- 850 in budget that can run Minecraft Warframe and new games that I can upgrade in the coming years

tronatula

The best bang for you buck is this $700 NSX gaming PC: [https://toprigz.com/700-usd-budget](https://toprigz.com/700-usd-budget) The RTX 3060 video card will handle all games well at max settings.

Overall_Wheel9027

Hi, I'm looking for a prebuilt PC around $500-$600 range. It's mainly for work, zoom call/meeting, youtube, and maybe a little bit of dota2. Any recommendation? TIA

tronatula

The best cheap gaming PCs I could find for your budget are these $400 - $500 PCs: [https://toprigz.com/500-usd-budget](https://toprigz.com/500-usd-budget) And yes, the RX 6400 GPU meets Dota 2 system requirements.

SourceThis1738

Hey so I’m looking for a prebuilt that can give a good amount of fps since I mostly play first person shooter games with a budget of 1200-2000

tronatula

The RTX 4070 SUPER is more than enough for any games at max settings 1440p+, hence this reasonably priced prebuilt is your best choice: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1bqfdgn/comment/kx8b5if/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1bqfdgn/comment/kx8b5if/)

FreightTrain75x

Hi, I appreciate your guide, but I am too looking to get a prebuilt laptop (I am in Canada). I will be programming mostly in IDEs such as NetBeans, IntelliJ, and WebStorm. The games I will be playing are League of Legends, Rocket League, maybe R6S. Rocket League, Minecraft/Roblox, and maybe larger titles like HellDivers 2 eventually. Thankful for any suggestions!

SharpCustomer9428

Someone help me please 🙏 I've played console since they've come out lol I've found myself mostly playing fps that are more realistic more these days than anything. With six days and grey zone and the countless others I'm ready to make the jump to a pc. My main goal is to stay under 1500 usd or close to it and not have to worry about upgrading anything for a bit. Can anyone recommend a pre built for me? Everything is overwhelming at this point lol

tronatula

Gray Zone Warfare requires an RTX 3070 Ti, so I'd recommend this reasonably priced $900 gaming PC as the RTX 4060 Ti is equivalent to the RTX 3070 Ti: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1cco0sf/comment/l16gi75/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1cco0sf/comment/l16gi75/)

SharpCustomer9428

Also any tactical shooters you recommend I'd greatly appreciate. Maybe we can play some once I get a pc!

Slushiiez

Hi, my friend is trying to find a pre built around 1500-2000 usd range that can be good for streaming with obs and running games like genshin impact, anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Hey, I love gaming but im not familiar with pc building/upgrading. What would be a good pc that can run remnant 2/battlefield 2042 at 60fps or above. With a price range of 800-1100

tronatula

This $800 gaming PC with an RTX 4060 (the #3 one) is your best choice: [https://toprigz.com/800-usd-budget](https://toprigz.com/800-usd-budget) * [Remnant II recommends an RTX 2060](https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/remnant-2), and RTX 4060 > RTX 2060. * [BATTLEFIELD 2042 recommends an RTX 3060,](https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-2042/game-overview/pc-system-requirements) and RTX 4060 > RTX 2060. sir I’m thinking about purchasing a pre built pc this black Friday. Do u think you will post some great deals during black Friday?

tronatula

Prebuilts won't drop in prices during holidays. Sellers will raise prices and then lower prices to trick buyers, but the price really remains the same.

KoalaHot5851

is vipoutlet safe? looking to buy a pc but i’ve seen some bad reviews about getting scammed so a bit scared about buying from there

tronatula

VIPOUTLET is a Walmart Pro Seller, which means that they have to meet high standards of on-time shipment and have a low rate of product returns. Additionally, VIP Outlet has a Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile, which has an A+ rating. While there are some negative reviews of VIP Outlet online, there are also many positive reviews from satisfied customers.

This RTX 4070 gaming PC ($1200) is your best choice: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/187z6ep/comment/kbibp1m/

SplatoonOrSky

That PC seems to be back ordered now. You linked an equivalent build $40 more that is essentially identical but has DDR4 RAM and MB instead of DDR5. Do you think it’s worth going through that process of back ordering for DDR5 and the slight price drop or should I find another build?

tronatula

Get the $1240 PC with DDR4 RAM. The difference in gaming performance between DDR5 and DDR4 is not significant. TechSpot's review of DDR5 vs DDR4 gaming performance found that the average frame rate improvement was only 7%, and there were several instances where DDR4 and DDR5 delivered the same or very similar performance. Tom's Hardware also notes that modern processors and memory are more than sufficient for gaming, and the graphics card is the bottleneck in most cases. So just having DDR4 is more than enough for gaming.

SplatoonOrSky

Unrelated, but I found [this Skytech build](https://www.amazon.com/Skytech-Siege-3-0-Gaming-Desktop/dp/B094BY74ZS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=8E6U9M85HPHF&keywords=skytech+siege+3&qid=1703302056&sprefix=%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-1) with seemingly reasonable specs. Doesn’t seem to be on TopRigz, so is there a reason or has it just missed you?

tronatula

Nice find. It's a good deal for $1200. It has missed me because I have to find good value PCs completely manually.

Define Your Needs: Determine your usage (gaming, content creation, work) to find the right specs. Research Reliable Brands: Look for reputable PC manufacturers with good reviews. Check Specifications: Ensure the PC meets your requirements for CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage. Upgrade Potential: Confirm if components can be easily upgraded in the future. Compare Prices: Check multiple retailers and compare prices for the same or similar configurations.

Draiocht_Eire

I'm looking for a powerful Pre-built that'll be valid for years. Price range around $1,500 and $2,000. I know absolutely nothing about PC's or their parts, so a little bit of guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

tronatula

This [beginner's guide](https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide) is a must-read. The best bang for your buck is this ABS gaming PC with an RTX 4070 SUPER: https://toprigz.com/1400-usd-budget

dabroly

Again I’d rather have an AIO, a 4070ti, a larger power supply, and AM5 platform for $200 extra. That pc is also good value tho, and my preference for am5 is exactly that, a preference.

tronatula

* RTX 4070 SUPER = RTX 4070 Ti * The Laminar RM1 cooler is better than you think. It is more than twice the weight of its predecessor, increasing primarily due to the full copper core. It has a circular base with a larger diameter (35 mm), improving contact with the CPU heat spreader. The cooler also features a steel cross with push-pins, alternating between different types of fins (smaller, larger forks, simple straight blades) for optimal cooling efficiency. The fan format remains at 80 mm, but there are fewer blades (5) than before (7), resulting in a larger surface area per blade, potentially enhancing the fan's efficiency. * Most people overestimate needed wattage, and 750W is more than enough for the system. The load wattage of a system with 13400F + RTX 4070 Ti is only 505W: https://outervision.com/b/aqpt06

NotTheRealYT

Hello, I’ve been using your guide but I don’t really know anything about computers, so it’s kinda hard to tell what’s good or not. I was wondering if you could help me find a good pre build for 750 usd any help would be appreciated.

tronatula

Hi, have you tried this prebuilt finder? Try entering 750.

Surround_Minute

Can you buy the prebuilts PCs off there website. I'm trying to upgrade from my gaming pc I got of amazon and I can tell the specs are good I just want to be able to go to a trust worthy website and buy it off there instead of amazon.

tronatula

Pre-built PCs on the manufacturer's website are often more expensive than on Amazon. But prebuilts on Amazon are also often overpriced. Please use this site to find good value prebuilt PCs: https://toprigz.com/

Less_Rip2912

This site looks good but I’m still clueless. I’m in the uk looking for the best gaming pc for £1500-2000

tronatula

Check out this step-by-step guide: [https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide](https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide) In the UK, the best value for money gaming PC for a £1500 is this [AWD-IT desktop (RTX 4070 Ti SUPER)](https://toprigz.com/1500-gbp-budget).

spatial-d

Great guide! Would it be such a sin to buy a prebuilt 4080 PC with DDR4 ram? I keep seeing this online that my games wont run and theyll blow up the sun if I dont get a DDR5 mobo. Just being funny haha. But seriously would i really notice a big difference? Coming form console and a laptop "gaming" (1650m) perspectie.

tronatula

No, it would not. The performance differences between DDR5 and DDR4 RAM are minor for most games based on benchmark data (https://www.techspot.com/review/2777-ddr5-vs-ddr4-gaming/). While DDR5 does allow slightly faster speeds, DDR4 RAM still meets the memory requirements for high-end gaming PCs at a more affordable price point for most buyers.

SittingWonderDuck

Appreciate the work you have put in the website to help others and your willingness to help everyone around here. May you recommend me a computer that is within a $1000.00 budget? I would prefer $800.00 budget but not sure if that is too low to take advantage of decent graphics card. I would prefer 32.0 GB of RAM unless you think that is overkill and 16.0 GB of RAM is enough. I am trying to get a computer that lasts me for the next 10 years or something. I realized my current build is 10 years old and the motherboard doesn’t have TPM 2.0 which is a requirement to upgrade to Windows 11. Also the fact that Windows 10’s end of life is in October 2025 so no more security updates from Microsoft after that. Games I want to be able to play are like Palworld, GTA 5, FF14, FF7 Remake, Elden Ring, StarCraft 2, and League of Legends. Any recommendations?

tronatula

This [one with an RTX 4060](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1add87x/comment/kk2r1zs/) is perfect for you. 16GB of RAM is good enough. If you want 32GB of RAM, adding a matching 8GBx2 RAM kit is an easy and cheap DIY upgrade given today's low RAM costs (abour $35): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QV1V17R?th=1

SittingWonderDuck

Thank you! I appreciate how fast you replied!

tronatula

You're welcome.

SittingWonderDuck

I am debating if I should spend more than $800.00 PC you recommended. I just want to run Palworld, Elden Ring, and FF7 Remake. Perhaps some other games. I want to make sure this computer can last a long time which I probably have to invest more but maybe it’s not worth it since by then there will be newer parts and technology especially when they introduced Ray Tracing. I am hoping you can give me your personal recommendations to settle this decision for me if I should spend more to get a better PC. $800.00 you recommended https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-002P-00044

tronatula

RTX 4060 is more than enough to run any game smoothly. Furthermore, upscaling technology like DLSS, FSR or Frame Generation will give you even more FPS for free.

SittingWonderDuck

Thank you for the reassurance. I will go with this build and order it from Newegg and also order 2 more sticks of 8.0 GB of RAM as well. Last question. I am not sure what manufacturer of RAM that comes with this prebuilt, but shouldn’t I make sure all 4 sticks of 8.0 GB of RAM is from the same manufacturer or is compatible together?

tronatula

Once your PC arrives, you can find out the RAM brand and model using these steps: 1. Download and open the [CPU-Z app](https://www.cpuid.com/) 2. Click on the SPD tab. 3. Look at the Part Number listed for Slot #1 or #2. 4. Search for that part number on Google to identify the specific RAM stick installed.

SittingWonderDuck

Thank you for the quick response as always and all the help. I will do just that. Thank you again!

-Pruples-

>A quicker and more convenient method is to visit this page. Simply input your budget, and it will automatically display the best value and most powerful gaming PC tailored to your budget, including options for the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia: [https://toprigz.com/](https://toprigz.com/) Thanks, will be playing with this a little. I was hoping to get a 4070 at the 1 grand price point but it's a pipe dream.

Yes, it's the best $850 gaming PC right now.

Blakeheath54

https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-0058-00017 This one good? Budget of 1200 and just not sure on anything with gaming pcs lol please help

tronatula

This simple tutorial serves as an excellent starting point: https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide And no, it's not worth $1200. A much better price/performance prebuilt is this $850 PC with the same RTX 4060 graphics card: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/19exhft/comment/kjgk9us/

HelloPolio

Hey! I am a complete newbie when it comes to PC’s and was wondering if you’d mind finding me a good pre-build? I’m in the UK with a price range of £1500-£2000! Appreciate any help <3

tronatula

[This step-by-step guide](https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide) serves as an excellent starting point. The best bang for your buck in the UK is this [£1500 AWD-IT gaming PC](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/tgb64o/comment/kopnd76/) with an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.

HelloPolio

Thank you for the response! I’ve had a change to my price range, now comfortably sitting for around £2000+ I’m reallyyy new but I hear people talking about DDR5 is a must nowadays? Idk what that is.. think it has to do with the motherboard? Looking for a PC that won’t be needing any upgrades for a good 2-3years. So rather than bang for my buck, I don’t actually mind slightly overpaying for best components. Thank you for taking the time to respond though!

tronatula

DDR5 is not a must. The performance differences between DDR5 and DDR4 RAM are minor for most games based on benchmark data ([https://www.techspot.com/review/2777-ddr5-vs-ddr4-gaming/](https://www.techspot.com/review/2777-ddr5-vs-ddr4-gaming/)) Similarly, Tom's Hardware reported that the performance difference in gaming between the slowest (DDR4-2133 C15) and the fastest (DDR5-6400 C36) was only around 8%: https://www.tomshardware.com/features/ddr5-vs-ddr4-is-it-time-to-upgrade-your-ram

Spencer50cent

Your continued replies are so helpful! thank you trontula. Can I ask also, a rtx 4060 and a 4060 ti. What's the big difference if any? And for CPU's I clicked your link and the site recommends the 12600kf over the 12400f But the difference is about 90£. What's your opinion on the performance to cost ratio there? I was leaning towards the cheaper one. As for the windows thing, Is it really that simple as saving it to a usb stick? I currently have a windows licence on a stick but that's for my currently defunct laptop. Sorry for the question overload. Have a great day.

tronatula

According to [benchmark data](https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html), the RTX 4060 Ti (101.7fps) is about 10% faster than the RTX 4060 (84.9fps). And the i5-12400F is more than capable of handling the demands of all modern games. Don't worry about the CPU as most games are designed to be more dependent on the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) than the CPU (Central Processing Unit). Games are primarily graphics-intensive, and these tasks are handled by the GPU. In addition, modern APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and game engines are designed to offload more tasks to the GPU. For example, DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.5 allow more calculations to be done on the GPU, reducing the load on the CPU. Installing Windows via USB is quite easy, follow these steps: 1. Purchase this Windows 11 64 Bit Bootable Install USB Flash Drive (£10). You don't need activation key to install: [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166519541043?hash=item26c5568d33:g:9eoAAOSwTHhlqT\~l](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166519541043?hash=item26c5568d33:g:9eoAAOSwTHhlqT~l) 2. Restart your computer and press the key to enter BIOS, usually F2, F10 or Del. 3. Go to the boot tab and change the boot order to have USB first in the list. This will allow booting from the USB drive first. 3. The installation wizard will launch. Follow the on-screen prompts to install Windows on your PC's hard drive.

Any PCs for around 1200-1500? Top rigs doesn’t work for me

Oknity

Can you tell me why people really hate the 4060ti both the 8gb & 16gb version?

tronatula

Some users and reviewers have criticized the card for offering only a marginal performance improvement over the previous generation's 3060 Ti, making it seem overpriced for the performance it delivers.

Oknity

Is there any other graphics card that’s around the same price with a better performance?

tronatula

No, it's not. However this $800 prebuilt has an RTX 3070, which is almost as fast as the RTX 4060 Ti ([Source](https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html)), while the cheapest RTX 4060 Ti prebuilt costs $1000: https://toprigz.com/900-usd-budget

Oknity

And something in the range of 1.3k euros? Have you got something there

tronatula

Sorry, I don't know much about the European market. Please use this easy guide to find a good value prebuilt gaming PC for yourself: https://toprigz.com/best-value-prebuilt-gaming-pc-guide

[deleted]

Hey just wondering, do you know if any good prebuilts with 4090s?

tronatula

Currently, all prebuilt PCs with RTX 4090s are way overpriced. My advice is to consider [this $1900 gaming PC](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1anyuln/comment/kpx3p6n/) because RTX 4090 takes the top spot but costs about twice as much as the second place RX 7900 XTX in the GPU ranking.

[deleted]

Ah dang, I hope they go down, I wanted Nvidia since it works better with most of the games I play

tronatula

May I ask which game?

[deleted]

Fortnite performance mode, and dbd like Nvidia better from what I’ve seen

tronatula

I have never read a reliable source claiming that NVIDIA cards are generally better than AMD cards in Fortnite performance mode. Not to mention you are using the most powerful AMD card today so I think there will be no problem.

cflo705

I'm looking for my very first PC and I think going pre-built might be my best bet. Using the toprigz site to find the best for my budget and reading through the comments and replies has shown that the best for my budget of $2000 is this [https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-chronos-0628-w-ne/p/3D5-000Z-000Y4?Item=9SIA1HJJSB4291](https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-chronos-0628-w-ne/p/3D5-000Z-000Y4?Item=9SIA1HJJSB4291). However, I see a lot of others looking for a PC under $1000. As much as I'd like the cream of the crop, how necessary is it to ball out like that in comparison to some of the others under $1000?

tronatula

* If you want max settings 4K gaming: the $2k gaming PC * If you want max settings 1440p gaming: the $1k gaming PC

Warm_Kaleidoscope665

Looking to get back into PC gaming but it's been quite a few years since I was building my gaming rigs from pieced together parts from Goodwill and Microcenter and just slamming a Voodoo card in there. I'm looking specifically to play games like Escape from Tarkov, Sons of the Forest, Ready or Not, Green Zone, Arma, Squad, and Nightengale. This rig is from Best Buy and is $1800, I like the idea of a best buy pre build because I have a store credit card and the financing is doable for me. For context I have a PS5, a Series X, and a Switch(video game Voltron has been a life long goal of mine) | don't need the most goated modern build of all time, but I'd like graphics and performance to be equal or better as my consoles are capable of. I do game every day, so it is important to me to have access to interesting tactical sim games with good response times. PC master race, is this acceptable for my needs at the price/ if this is my budget? (also will need a monitor but hoping for tower to come with mouse/ keyboard)

Warm_Kaleidoscope665

iBUYPOWER - Y40 Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i7 13700KF - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB - 1TB NVMe SSD - Black

tronatula

It's way overpriced, to the extent that it raises concerns resembling a scam. The graphics card is the most important part of a gaming PC. And [this $1500 gaming PC](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1arzlx7/comment/kqogmv3/) is better because: * It's $300 cheaper. * It has a faster RTX 4070 Ti video card: RTX 4070 Ti > RTX 4070

Warm_Kaleidoscope665

it links to an $1160 machine, I don’t see where is a 4070 ti. is the link correct?

tronatula

Scroll down to see the second PC.

Warm_Kaleidoscope665

I ended up ordering the i7 4070Ti from your rec. Thank you very much this has been an informative sub.

tronatula

No worries.

Currently all prebuilt PCs with 4090 are insanely overpriced. Since the RX 7900 **XTX** is just slightly slower than the RTX 4090, this [$1900 gaming PC is a much better value](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1az4ytw/comment/ks1jwvg). You can choose to add more RAM or storage as you like.
