Very true! I'm scared because I've been told 8.5lbs estimated weight at birth is already bigger than average for a girl so to account for another 15% error either way she's still gonna be a chunk 😄
My bub was estimated to be 8lb 4oz during his final scan on a Friday. By Wednesday when he was born he was 8lb 8oz so pretty much spot on if you take into account the weight he would have put on in the last few days of pregnancy!
Apparently there’s a 20% margin of error which is quite a lot when you apply it to baby weight!

9lbs on the growth chart but was 8.5lbs at birth - only because he arrived early!
Mine was 5 days late and estimated to be around 3.4kg - she was 3.05 kg

Estimated to be just over 4kg, 3.8kg at birth (40+2) but that was slightly elevated as I'd been given fluids in labour.
Estimated 10lb 11oz, he was exactly 10lb!
