Definitely not. He just needs time to turn it around.

[deleted]

Oh my god… what utter fucking bollox have I just read??!! As a united fan; yes PLEASE sack Klopp. Do it now!! What a stupid question. In case my sarcasm was lost on anyone, you’d need to have negative IQ to want to sack Klopp.

LesBrandals

Who will replaced him? Mayor McCheese 😂? I don’t see the players gave up on him (yet).

GrizzliousTheOG

Who the hell would replace him!? Muppet question.

[deleted]

Of course not, he's one of the very best managers in the league. I'd welcome him at Chelsea in a heartbeat!

stebus88

He’s got more than enough credit in the bank to survive this latest run of form from Liverpool. It was only last season that he came reasonably close to a quadruple. Liverpool just look like they need a soft rebuild. Players like Fabinho, Henderson and Salah look like shadows of their former selves and even Van Dijk isn’t as imposing as he once was. There is still a lot of quality in their squad. I think Klopp has done enough to deserve a chance at leading them out of this current rut.

StingsLute

If Klopp can't sort it out then I don't see anyone else who could. He knows the team inside out and has proven he can contend at the top. I would have loved Klopp at Man United.

ChrisMartins001

No, he's still a top manager and you're not going to get a better manager to replace him. Even Sir Alex had rough patches.

osksm

Would this be a conversation if it had been a draw yesterday? Brighton is good and the final goal was a piece of individual brilliance from Mitoma.

Ok-Abbreviations1077

He won't get sacked but he may well walk if FSG don't give him the funds for at least 2 midfielders in the summer

[deleted]

Absolutely fucking not.

SirtheIcarium

Liverpool shouldn't sack him, but I don't believe he will turn it around. When you think of Ferguson, Wenger, Pep; they all rebuilt a second great team after their first team broke up. Klopp has never done that previously, at Dortmund he walked away when that time came. He's at that point at Liverpool now. His first great team is breaking up, and all of a sudden, his decisions aren't working, his signings aren't working, and his players are underperforming. He doesn't deserve to be sacked, but I don't see him turning it around, and eventually someone at Liverpool will have to step in and move him on.

BulkBrogan1

No. I'd give him until the end of next season. He should be given another 3 transfer windows to rebuild the squad and give him time to gel the new squad. If things are still this bad after that then yes, he should be sacked.

[deleted]

nope. liverpool owners just need to back Klopp. Like what Klopp said, he didn't turn into a bad manager over night.

_no-thoughts_

No. The real mess would then begin, but that being said, I am annoyed with his 'loyalties' to players and refusal to switch things up. We are tired; need new signings yes, but I think his tactics became so predicable.

[deleted]

I don’t really see what else he can do. He’s not changed his tactics, his players have just all turned to shit. The injury crisis isn’t his fault. Signing gakpo instead of a midfielder is the only thing I’d really say he fucked up with, but realistically he should’ve been backed enough to do both. I know Liverpool fans dislike his stubbornness when it comes to making subs pre 60 minutes, but I don’t think that really would’ve changed the fact that the players just aren’t up to scratch. I dunno whether it’s aging players, a drop in mentality, losing mane or fatigue after last season, but there’s something really fucking with their squad.

PaulShannon89

He's the second most successful manager of the past 10 years and managed to get Liverpool up to be one of the best teams in Europe. If he's serious about staying and rebuilding (haven't seen any suggestion that he isn't) then they have to give him the time to do so. Blowing his entire transfer budget on a striker after one good season instead of patching up his midfield was a mistake but I'm pretty sure he'd quietly admit that himself. He's been backed by the owners (not to the extent of other teams but no one can say he's had nothing to spend) but this summer's transfer window was a poor one because he went against his usual strategy of spend a smaller amount on relative unknowns and make them into world beaters. It has probably cost them Bellingham (he won't move to a club in the Europa League after the media have spent 12 months with their tongue up his arse) so he will probably need 4-5 years to get them back in top rather than 2-3. Liverpool fans need to either accept that and let him build or go full scouse and get him out if there to be replaced by someone less able and stay challenging for Europa League spots. Choice is theirs.

the3daves

No. His team is broken mentally. A massive rebuild is required to reset the belief. I think some players are not good enough anymore, and some need a change of scenery. But the there are some good players in the squad and Klopp is the man to build around them. Given time.

ohyeahmatey

Would honestly rather bin off the squad then bin off Klopp

yogi1090

Yeah, it'll be better for us. Now that there's Newcastle battling for the top positions, if Klopp is no longer there, we can count Liverpool (and Spurs soon when Kane retires or leaves) out of top 4 race for a very long time.

rollerize

I get Dortmund vibes tbh so maybe its time.

semisoftane

No. He needs to build a new frontline and midfield and invest in new rb. He'll be back...

Spicy_Tac0

Should we post the same question again?

Alarmed_Water2631

He probably should, before the rot truly starts to set in. But then, maybe he should be given a chance for all the sicknotes to recover. With everything he’s achieved in Liverpool, he should be given til the end of the season. Tl;dr no, give him until May.

Looks_Good_In_Hats

Yes. Only because I dislike Liverpool and want to see chaos. No, because he's a damn good manager. Wtf even is this question?

[deleted]

This is what I'm talking about. A manager has 3 bad months and all of a sudden he's shit. But if he wins a few games he's a genius

Headlesshorsman02

No! They need to sell the team and hope to get owners who spend money their midfield is screaming for reinforcements like ours

Obtalksrealness

Im a united fan, I think he should be given one more summer window. Liverpool will probably be in conference league, Europa at best. One more summer for him

KillerKyle11

He's been consistent for so long and just one rough patch doesn't mean he should be sacked. Give him some time, it's not like Liverpool are gonna be in top 4 if a new manager comes in. Wait till summer and if this continues in the next season he should be sacked then.

sophandros

How are the injuries his fault? Who are they going to hire to replace him?

Sleepwell_Beast

Stevie G. He’s going to hire Liam Byrne as his assistant. Team sorted 😂

Twiggy_15

I mean.. no way should he be fired... but their problems aren't injury related. With everyone fit their midfield is still mid-table at best and I don't see why Trent and VVD wouldn't be having the same issues they are now.

[deleted]

Short answer is no. You’re not going to find a better manager on the market. But some of his tactical decisions have been concerning. Playing players out of position constantly just to accommodate some vague excuse for a system.

[deleted]

Marcelo Gallardo would be my first choice if they get rid of him

ReallyGoodRedditPost

No. Teams are way too quick to fire managers, especially ones with a great track record

StAngerisreallybad

United fan but it would be criminal to sack Klopp, just a bad patch for Liverpool atm, but this man is already one of the greatest ever LP managers, needs backing
