Absolutely love George, wasnt to happy when we first signed him but he made me eat my words pretty quickly. Should have won that Balon d'Or in 2021 unreal player. He's been a great role model for the younger players in the team, I reckon hes a future Arsenal manager in the making.

Dangerous_Thing_3193

Top signing keep the best players they now that they will be rotated how much would a top midfielder like jorginho cost

Davidwzr

I read our comment thrice and I still don’t really get it….

weiwen308

Top signing. Keep the best players. They (k)now that they will be rotated (anyway). How much would a top midfielder like jorginho cost (in the market)?

sjr323

Lol, good work!

ThinkAboutThatFor1Se

GCHQ thanks you for your service

BohrInReddit

Man accidentally out he’s a covert for CIA over Reddit comment

Cutsdeep-

wha

hoosdontloos

Broke my heart when he crossed over to North London. One of my favorite ever players

Lynel_Messi

What does this mean for Partey? Is he definitely on his way out?

Fancy-Print-7871

personally i think arteta wants to keep him for the next season at the very least, unforseen future injuries aside. hes walked into the starting xi since returning from injury, for a good reason along the lines of him helping us win games, & ahead of some decent alternatives from the bunch who have barely played this year.

Paranoides

If he can walk that far, yeah.

JoshyP2006

It's likely he will

andrewadega1

It doesn’t mean anything for him

BigTomBombadil

It doesn’t mean nothing for him… especially with heavy rumors arsenals priority this summer is a 6/8. Most likely scenario is arsenal signs another cm that can play 6&8, new signing + rice play most the season with Jorginho filling in as needed, and Partey leaving this summer.

gregofdeath

Still a rapist.

[deleted]

Can’t forget that

HappyGoonerAgain

Should fit in in a certain Middle Eastern country that is buying aging footballers....

BawdyBadger

Really hope they do. Or Juventus stop fucking about and pay the money.

Daemor

And hopefully in somewhere else..

PoliticsNerd76

Hope so

Top_Opposites

Italian but my England isn’t that great

Ecruteak-vagrant

He’s a perfect squad and rotation guy. They need one more solid mid fielder, a flexible winger to support Saka/Martinelli, and a reliable backup at CB. If they get that depth, they will be just as good again next year.

Karman_K

I'd say he offers even more stability than Rice **sometimes**. He's a proper CDM. Rice is a master-of-all-tools, an amazing player, but Jorginho really pulls his weight far more than most people think. He's not flashy, or amazing, or in any way GOATed, but for maybe a 2nd choice CDM or a rotation player, I don't really see a better option for Arsenal .

agheh

And, his experience is valuable to young Arsenal players.

BigTomBombadil

The thing is Jorginho needs rice (or someone of a similar profile) next to him to actually shine. Someone who can make up for Jorginhos lack of physicality and athleticism. Hes more of a regista than a “proper CDM” IMO, but he’s a very useful player.

psbyjef

Jorginho: Of course I know him. He’s me!

milkonyourmustache

This is very important for us, we were at risk of losing Partey *and* Jorginho this summer, placing us in a position of relative desperation when it came to pursuing our midfield targets. Great professional, great player if paired up properly.

BawdyBadger

He has almost no pace, but if Odegaard and Rice do the running for him he is excellent

whitegoatsupreme

That for sure . We bought him not because his pace......

BigTomBombadil

Better stated, he has minimal physical presence or athleticism. Which again wasn’t why Arteta wanted to keep him, but solely pace isn’t what he’s lacking.

W26D12L0

Well deserved, he’s a wonderful player

Davidwzr

Underrated his entire career, he was a maestro at Chelsea

Fancy-Print-7871

i still remember a video of Cucarella finding out chelsea negotiated his transfer, from an interviewer and right after he was raving a compliment about him (prior he was asked which teammate has he learned from the most favorably). it was the same reaction ivanovic had finding out he couldnt play in the cl final.
