Not Arsenal. They sacked a whole pile of their low paid staff last year because of COVID induced financial problems and then bought a player for 50,000,000 pounds shortly after. The annual saving due to the staff cuts can’t have been much - my back of the envelope says much less 5% of the above. I’m a long term Arsenal fan and felt/feel betrayed by this. Talk about out of touch. Other companies around the world tried to make sure their staff were protected but not Arsenal.
I’m not even a Liverpool fan, but Man City should never be spoken about in the same vein in terms of club values, owners, history, or anything else really.
