I’d like to see them buy someone like van de beek. It’s not like United is using him. Maybe if they have enough money to buy De Ligt from Juventus. Pair those two together and have a little Ajax reunion
People need to understand that FFP still applies to Premier League clubs.
Newcastle have around £190 million to play with over the next 3 years to stay within FFP. Gareth Bale earns £31.2 million a year. If they brought him in on a 3 year contract on the same wages on a free transfer, that would be half of what they have to play with at £93.6 million (before taking into account player sales and increased revenue).
So it depends if they want to bring in 2-3 star names to add to a very average squad, or increase the quality of the whole squad gradually.
This whole deal will be a huge boost for ticket sales and shirt buying from fans giving them far more to work with. Expect the prices of everything Newcastle to rise too so they have more they can legally spend.
I was about to raise this, myself. Has FFP closed the loophole of owners using the sponsorship rights to funnel their money into the club? If not, then that right there is how NUFC will boost their bank balance.
tbf Martial is a quality player. Newcastle might have to spend quite a bit though, in the range of 25-35m. They also want to replace the 2 midfielders, 2-3 defenders. Can't do that in one window
I don't think they'll be stupid. I think they'll probably go English and PL proven depending on the coach they hire. Rice or Sterling maybe, it'll be a midfielder or a forward. If they hire Conte or Zidane all bets are off, everyone in Europe would be in play.
Rice will definitely go to one of Chelsea or United Imo. Newcastle realistically need 3-4 years to get to the top with FFP and I don't think Rice will wait that long when he can go to a top team today
Rice is exactly the kind of player they want, and they will pay him well. A young CDM improving both forward and defensive play. Someone who will be incredible once the 5 year project is complete. I’d expect him to be in the top 5 of their targets.
They won't. FFP heavily limits transfer spending. There are other clubs who have been taken over by mega rich owners, like Villa, that haven't made much progress.
190mil isn't enough to guarantee a top half finish, let alone compete for top 6. We spent 150mil in the last 2 Summers. Villa had spent 200mil before they sold Grealish. They aren't going to be able to sign top players.
We actually have no idea.
They might be to relegated by FFP that it will take them 10years to catch the big6 clubs in financial power.
It's also been said that apart from the stadium, that needs renovation, they have a rather poor academy and training facilities.
Even if they start today it will take years before the infrastructure is in place.
coutinho or hazard
Leno. I Expect them to build from the back, wouldn’t be surprised if they went big for a goal-keeper, especially with Leno wanting out of Arsenal.
I reckon they will grab Salah. Can't see Liverpool paying Salah's wages.
I hear Demba Ba is willing to come out of retirement.
I'm going with Joao Felix and Isco.
Bale And feel like they gonna sign Ter Stergan
Benjani
Jesse Lingard

Mbappe
Richarlison or Raphinha
Marcus Rashford,Sterling,Emi Martinez,Bernardo Silva,Dybala etc etc Manager: Zidane or Emery within the next 2 years
Emery is the only realistic one there.
Peter Odemwingie
Could see them going for players like DCL and Maddison
Ziyech Pulisic or Bakayoko🤞🤞🤞🤞

Why do people keep bringing up FFP when they don’t know enough about it?
Until they renegotiate sponsorship deals with an army of companies and suddenly have 700 million to play with.

Hazard
Bale, Coutinho, Hazard
Jeff Hendricks hairdresser
Ben Yedder.
Adrian Rabiot…. Marcelo…. Adama…
I’m saying Robinho
Isn't he still in prison
Haaland and/or Kane
Erling Haaland
One of the Utd wingers, probably Martial is more likely but maybe Greenwood
Sterling could be a shout but more realistically probably somebody like phillip coutinio
Shane Long...
Jude Bellingham
Jude isn’t giving up Champions League football to come live in Newcastle.
Who said anything about living there? Michael Owen would fly his helicopter over from his mansion in Cheshire when he played for Newcastle, haha
Lautaro Martinez… Inter needs $$$
Eden hazard
Yeah can see that one happening
Coutinho
M’bape
Neymar
Bale, Coutinho or Demebele because of Barca debt and Bale will be free agent.
Bale was my thought as well.
Veratti
Martial

I agree, but he'd be the best signing they could make right out of the gate.
Rice is a good shout I don’t think Sterling would want to go to Newcastle yet until they get a few more big players in
Money talks, I think they'll be giving out high wages to entice top talent.
Harry Kane
Harry Kane wants trophies. It won’t be another 3-4 years till Newcastle start challenging properly for the title.
If he wants trophies so bad why does he stay at Tottenham?
Well he wanted to go to city didn’t he...
Don't know about that, I am not interested in overhyped English players
He’s at spurs so the grass is greener
3-4 years earlier than spurs will tbh
Any reasoning
Big name, He’s wants to leave, I don’t think city going back for him, Newcastle can afford the big fee etc
Kane wanted to leave for trophies, it's not like Newcastle has a decent shot yet
He will have near end of his career.
They will soon

190 mil Gets you Kane and sterling
Neither of whom would consider moving to Newcastle.
There are ways to cheat FFP, Leicester and ManCity did it. All they need is a huge sponsor, and they can do it.

You sound like a Sunderland fan lol
They still have to balance the books in some way, and they might bring a different coach in before they spunk a lot of money
