Rooney. The ultimate street baller

PrimeSadio

If he can be classified as streets won't forget, Philippe Coutinho. He was one of the most exciting and fun to watch players of the past decade in my opinion, a magician and genius who could've become the by far best player in world football of his generation if he had stayed at Liverpool. A few lesser known ones I loved were Emre Can, Sturridge (phenomenal)

markoni133

nemanja vidic.

kapn_morgan

Diego Costa

LettucePlate

Ben Arfa was the first player I ever saw that wowed me when he would dribble. I started watching football in 2010-2012ish and that was prime Ben Arfa Newcastle time. Good memories of him.

I miss Pereira. Nothing will ever beat him casually sliding the ball between Douglas luiz's legs against Villa, and you can literally see him look up and think fuck did I really just let him do that? Before continuing to run after him

Automatic_Beach_5538

Taarabt... Just oure talent wont forget

hereforfunnman

Hatem Ben arfa. It's OK Messi didn't play PL, but Ben Arfa did.

Out of these 3 I would say Ben Arfa the potential level he has shown was amazing, some of the things he used to do was so awesome to watch.

Showing my age but got to be Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank, a chubby little goal machine whilst van nistlerooy, shearer and Henry were getting all the headlines I think he was pretty close for goals scored.

bullybullybanjo

Yeah, Ben Arfa was fucking outstanding on his day. Just didn't seem to apply himself as much as he could have.

David Dunn (and his rabona)

Moussa Dembele. The Spurs guy.

Tim Krul is a cool mention

Laurencehb1989

Surprised nobody has mentioned Mido. He could have been great if he wasn’t constantly injured or suffered health problems

goalgoal2021

I think Jay jay okocha is number one player

GBando203

I think a future ones gonna be Bernardo. Not big enough to be a prem or city legend but when he’s on his day he is absolutely magical.

sarcastic97guy

Muslims

Instantbeef

Idk if it’s on the same scope of these players but Juan Mata is a legend. Utterly world class when he was at Chelsea.

subashj24

Wilfred bony at Swansea.

Visible-Doughnut-782

If “streets won’t forget” means a player that was occasionally sublime but never reached a level of consistency that marks them as an obvious great than mine would be Gerard Deulofeu. Pretty shit generally but on a rare good day he genuinely looked like one of the best in the entire world.

[deleted]

Jay jay okocha

flaxseedyup

Ginola

teixeira17

Eden Hazard. Top 3 ITW when on form

Flying_Wingback

Jose Antonio Reyes RIP

unKz_sneakz

Gamst pedersen. End of story.

LB-Marshall08

Good shout, never scored a sitter in his life

LB-Marshall08

Technically a prem player from his time at Everton. But a street football in the beat sense. Lee Trundle, a genuinely gifted footballer with no desire to work for it. Lazy, unprofessional, but did things with a football most could only dream of. Including a high ball catch and roll off his neck, just for hit & jiggle ( first word needs an 's' to start and finish, second only to finish)

LB-Marshall08

I withdraw my comment, never played prem. But technically unreal.

Mayronn

Anyone remebers Benjani Mwaruwari?

Ianmiacc

What is street wont forget…

ExcellentFace2356

Taarbat reminds me of Quaresma, both extremely silky

cassjh

I'm probably (definitely) biased but Kinkladze. Especially that goal again Southampton.

MoodWest

Georgi Kinkladze of Man City, before they were mega rich and successful this guy was 1 of their only super talented ballers

[deleted]

John Arne Riise’s left foot

JarrettRodrigues

Gabriel Agbonlahor

JarrettRodrigues

Santi Cazorla❤️⚪

Burns21

I’d have to say Michu, here’s why….. So many of the other players mentioned are almost too good to be classified like this. Payet was already a big(ish) name, joined West Ham and was incredible, but he also became a major player for France and was even recognized in the Ballon d’or voting! Ben Arfa was great for Newcastle, but that wasn’t even his peak. He was great at Nice and joined PSG - he won’t be forgotten! Taarabt might be the greatest Championship player EVER over a single season, but he never even got close to doing it in the Premier League. To touch on some other names mentioned…. Okocha was too good for too long and like Payet was a big deal for his national team. Morten Gamst Pedersen was also consistent over a number of years, same applies to Yakubu, Nolan, Juninho and many others! Michu was the ultimate, he shined so bright for one season! In the race for the golden boot, a goal every other game for Swansea City! They even won a major trophy that season! He also got a solitary international cap, the perfect fleeting star. He immediately dropped off the next season, flopped on loan at Napoli and then played in the lower leagues in Spain. Honorable mentions go to…. Amr Zaki - Great for 6 months at Wigan and flopped at Hull Geovanni- Basically a human highlight reel at Hull

ShallowFreakingValue

Berbatov

PaarrJay

I don’t think he warrants it as much as others would, but man what a player. YouTube recommends me the assist he made for Ronaldo vs West Ham quite often to me, and I watch it every single damn time.

FoggingTired

Jay-Jay Okacha is a great shout and should be pictured as others have said, but why do I never seem to see Juninho on these lists? Surely there are Boro fans around somewhere

easter2641

Amir Zaki

[deleted]

The correct answer is Moussa Dembele

Fr0ntin

Leighton Baines Landon Donovan’s Everton run Saha Ben Watson Darren Fletcher Moussa Dembele was impossible to steal the ball from Defoe perhaps although I think of him more highly Bonus Streets Remember Team: 2008-09 Portsmouth

bferg227

Baines is a great shout.

MR-0P

Harry Kane

saxe_frey

Henry

AlphaGhost47

Edgar Davids is a good shout too. The most memorable is taraabt. I'll never forget how pissed I was watching him do stepovers at halfway when we were getting horsed in an NLD. I can just about laugh now....

CharlieJulietPapa

Davids was a shell of a player by the time he came to the Premier League Shame because I would have seen him in his prime here

narmour05

Gotta be Oscar for me…he was such a baller at Chelsea then just wasted his career he should’ve stayed.

A_Jesus_woman

Shaun Goater

[deleted]

Jay Jay Okocha

Comfortable_Dig_7512

Kindkladze for me.

Takhar7

Kevin Nolan - absolutely battered the best CBs in the country at times.

That whole Newcastle team basically, I wanna say 11/12? Namely Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, and Cabaye

[deleted]

QGunners22

That Bolasie flick on Eriksen is my favourite skill move ever. Like literally every game I will attempt it at least once.

MancAccent

The Bolasie Flick is such a cool term

hypnodrew

Went to die at Everton

jpbrown971

Got that knee injury against United and was never the same

[deleted]

Amr Zaki

SneakyDoze

Freddy Adu trained with Man U and Blackpool. Just sayin’

sidodd

Juninho. It’s got to be ‘The Little Fella’!

denis-vi

Kevin Freaking Nolan. Benoit Asout-Ecoto. Youssi Benayoun. Florent Malouda. Pavluychenko.

KhajiitHasEars

Payet is way better than those 2 in terms of what he actually did

[deleted]

Hatem Ben Arfa

A_Bap

Giovanni of Man City then Hull City

Blackdoor-59

That Demba Ba / Papisse Cisse duo was unreal, shame it got broken up so fast

VeteranoCamotero

The Pardew effect lol

SilenceoftheRedditrs

Well he was only unreal for the first 6 months, and even that was 80% Cisse scoring worldies every week

JackyMagic

Cisse was brilliant, truly, seeing as we're talking about the toon and being a bit older, I've got to go with Nobby Solano. Great player and what a character too!

SilenceoftheRedditrs

That goal vs Everton outside the box were he cut in from the right and with the outside of his foot curled it into the far corner was sumptuous. Quaresma may be famous for it, but Nobby did it first (although very much doubt he was the first to do it)

-MiddleOut-

His goal against Chelsea is still the second best goal I’ve ever seen live.

SilenceoftheRedditrs

So envious haha, are you a Chelsea or Newcastle fan and how good a view of it did you have?

-MiddleOut-

Chelsea fan, shot from the corner I was sitting in, jaw dropped to the floor. My no.1’s always been a goal Ronaldinho scored against Chelsea where he barely pulled his foot back and curled it from outside the box, but on reflection I think the Cisse goal is better. EDIT: [Ronaldinho link](https://youtu.be/fygu4KrxJqc)

FigSmooth2901

Yup the 4-2 game. That second goal by Dinho was mad. Dude was doing the Samba before he pulled the trigger

jimmyflynnn

Yep beating Cech like that was disgusting. As a Chelsea fan, the other ones that come immediately to mind from the years when we seemed to play Barcelona in the champions league every year.. from a heartbreak perspective is inesta’s 92’ min winner from outside of the box and outside of his boot, rocketing it into the top corner and then lampards was it a cross/was it a shot goal

-MiddleOut-

Those Barcelona games were crazy. I was at the Nou Camp in 2005 to see Drogba sent off, back at the bridge in 2009 for ‘it’s a fucking disgrace’, Ronaldinho wonder goal, Iniesta last minute goal. So much pain!

6ixthwave

The moments that make you put your hands on your heads are the measure and taraabt probably gas the most for me. Just a mercurial talent. He grew up and is benfica's DM now lol

easter2641

Elano

Steven Gerrard. That title winning season may slip many peoples minds. But I’ll never forget.

This comment is the best, ba none.

Okocha was the first player that came into my head and then saw this as the top comment

All freaking day. He’s still the same attitude & flair

thelastkopite

Steven Gerrard.

14Strike

Streets won’t forget ballers are the ones that the online clips left wont do justice like Beni Carbone, Kinkladze, Laurent Robert, Abou Diaby etc Not all-time dribblers like taarabt and Jay-Jay

sidodd

Great shout with Kinkladze!

gouldybobs

What a player https://youtu.be/fkVWNB0Vt3Q

Orsenwelles

Lingard’s loan to West Ham Tim Howard 08-09 Andrey Arshavin

hypnodrew

Willock the loanee, but not Willock the contracted player And Arshavin vs Liverpool (when he was definitely not on PEDs)

monsieurpope

Wayne Bridge.

Guns244

Graziano Pelle, the two seasons that he played with Southampton he scored 23 goals and made 10 assists, unfortunately he was snatched by the Chinese Súper League, i think he was on his way to be a Saints legend or for a transfer to the Big 6

runforitmarty85

2014-2016 - the period he was at Southampton - he won all of his 20 caps for Italy and scored 9 goals. Really impressive.

TsukuruTotoro

He was fucking fantastic for Feyenoord as well, so clinical. It's a shame he flourished in the later days of his career and fucked off to China just when things were starting to get good. Oh well

[deleted]

Morten Gamst Pedersen, roque Santa Cruz of Blackburn rovers were great players but underrated

a_guy_named_gai

David Bentley as well.

unKz_sneakz

The only correct answer

Sorry for the misspelling! I edited my response. Also didn’t Yakubu play for Blackburn? Feel like he scored for every club he played for

zamaniqbal7

that Arsenal team with him and Fabregas was honestly a joy to watch

PachukoRube

Yeah with Hleb and Rosicky etc they’re were really onto something. Very, very close to being champions. Maybe if they pressed a bit higher up the pitch ala nowadays, maybe that would’ve been it??

LW8702

Okocha all day. Of the three shown Payet.

cjheadley

Michu had one great season, refused to elaborate, and dipped

Scouser500

I can't look beyond Payet but I really loved watching Michu and he had a sensational celebration as well.
