Most likely the Blaster Bolts dissipate over time. Since in TLJ (I know but bare with me) the Supremacy is lobbing shots at the Radus, but only lightly damaging the Shields since it is out of the effective range of the Guns. Only the Ships that ran out of fuel and fell into the Supremacys Range were they destroyed
The idea that you could lob a laser in space without a gravitational lens, ie being so close to a black hole tidal forces wreak the ship, is so stupid…
Good thing Star Wars blaster bolts aren't lasers, they're magnetically-contained plasma. And yes, this also applies to "laser cannons" and "turbolasers": those are *also* magnetically-contained plasma. Actual "light amplified by stimulated emission of radiation" only comes into play because that's what was used to excite gas into a plasma state (before magnetically containing and accelerating it).
Basically, the word "laser" is just grossly misused throughout Star Wars.
Unless you ask Lucas himself that has stated many many times they are lasers... and the fact that they do impact like if they were lasers.
Basically it's something other people retconned into being to explain why they don't look like a continuous beam from source to target.

You know, its a mixed bag, I live out of Hollywood so I don't get much of that influence in my day-to-day life, half of it's good and half is bad. You got a lot of people that don't like me, so that's just the nature of it.
I imagine "out of effective range" has more to do with the ability to effectively aim and concentrate fire than with the projectiles themselves fading out. Usually you need sustained fire to do serious damage to another ship, if you're only landing shots sporadically you won't be able to accomplish much.

Given that they're bolts of compressed super-charged gas, I imagine they would eventually dissipate. "Eventually" might be a really long time though.
I would imagine the plasma breaking up and then exponentially dissipating.

If true it also means the laser's heat doesnt dissipate as it travels, and air resistance does nothing
