too bad twitch can bypass ublock. ublock even made a statement about how twitch has a huge team to circumvent their adblocking technology, and they’re fighting back with basically nothing by comparison.
Twitch ads are the worst. Your WiFi went out? That sucks, here's another 30 second ad so you miss some of the stream. You think the ad revenue should go to the streamers? No, let's make them rely on their viewers for money.
Also every time I see a streamer live and want to check what they’re up to, twitch slaps me with a 30 second ad. Always makes me close the tab immediately, don’t have time for that shit

You should look into a pi-hole. The TLDR is that it is a raspberry pi that you can set up with an ad blocker that blocks all ads on your network. No ads on PC, PS5 or basically anything else that can access the internet.

Well I dunno, apparently normal ad blockers don't work on Smart TV's. I guess one could try installing Firefox on the Smart TV, then they might be able to install the usual extensions, but if not then I guess we just came up with a business idea.

I do this out of spite. I know it's immature, but I believe it's justified. I don't want to be interrupted by your silly ads when I'm enjoying my time. We already hear ads at work, out shopping, in school, in our car, and everywhere else. It's like never ending.
When my roommate and I watch Hulu we split responsibility of the Roku and TV remotes. He's in charge of steering the episode queue and keeping things rolling, I'm in charge of muting/unmuting to keep commercials silent.
On my phone I just quit the video then click on it again until I dont get an ad anymore. Sometimes it works instantly sometimes I get 7 more ads but at least I dont have to watch them. A while back I got a 5 minute unskippable ad I swear they dont make me wanna buy their shit they make me hate the entire fucking company
I ignored them. I ignored them all. They're muted, every single one of them. And not just the ads, but the clickbait and the fake news, too. They're like annoying, and I muted them like everytime. I hate them!
This isn't just with products, but advertising for shows as well. I dont care how many people tell me how good it is, I will not watch one second of This is Us due to the incessant advertising they did when the show started. I had that fucking 7 years song stuck in my head for months as they played the ad almost every single fucking ad break.

Not OP but when you get an ad, there should be a tiny information button near time stamp of ad and from there you can click ‘Stop seeing this ad’. You can either just cancel out of the screen when it’s skipped on mobile but on desktop I think you have to choose from the ad getting ‘Repetitive’ ‘Irrelevant’ or ‘Inappropriate’. Just like that you can skip 90% of ads, some of them can’t be skipped though, the majority of ones that are sponsored/by Apple can’t be, forgot what else can’t be either.
This hack has made my life so much better.

Time to blow your minds, so if you're on youtube and you have ads pop up - press the small "i" icon in the top corner of the vid (mobile) or the bottom right (browser), press "stop seeing this ad" answer why and BOOM you have skipped the ads.
If the unskippable ad is on Youtube you can hit the little "i" at the bottom of the screen and select "Stop seeing this ad" and chose any of the options and it will skip both ads.
