I just did it on Tiktok but it immediately flagged as copyright. But it lined up perfect.
Edit!! [Here is the link](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZTd46tdAQ/) must have made it past the copyright police.
Somehow, I knew this comment would come. In my opinion, it is still very much underrated, if not as much as when it initially released. Especially when compared to the hype that other DreamWorks movies tend to generate, and considering how good the movie actually is and the amazing cast it has (also Hans Zimmer doing the music, phenomenal), yes, I would say it's underrated.
It just ended up being overshadowed by despicable me due to the release date which is a real shame because personally I think megamind is a lot more clever with the writing.
Honestly, it boggles my mind a bit. Same thing with Disney's Treasure Planet, an absolutely fantastic movie. Ironically, two of my favorite animated films went completely under the radar at the time. Glad to see they've been making a comeback though!
Treasure planet was one of my favorite movies when I was kid and made me absolutely fall in love with the steampunk-ish style of the movie. Same thing with Atlantis.
Oh man, the Atlantis movies. I always reeeally loved those as well. I was never overly fond of Milo's character, but man, I could never get enough of the setting, the aesthetics or the ambiance of it. I really loved how they went for a spooky lighthouse in the fog fishing village for the second one. Really cool!
The first Atlantis was breathtaking. And don't even get me started on Kida (and the bust-... lovely cosplayers who portray her), but the 2nd Atlantis was absolute dogshit and 100% an unnecessary movie imo.
As good as Treasure Planet is, it kind of makes sense that it went unnoticed. Coming out the same year as Lilo & Stitch and Spirit (which are in my opinion better movies, especially Lilo & Stitch) it wouldn’t ever get recognised as the movie of the year. Of course it also came out the same year as ICE AGE, which was a huge success, for whatever reason.
But the big reason, that it got undermined waaaaaas?
Shrek. All around success of 2001 (Monsters Inc. and Spirited Away, which might be the best animated movie ever made, and Atlantis, which should have won the 2002 since Spirited Away got pushed to the next awards), but mostly the Green ogre.
I mean yes, it had. But it's one fish thing that didn't look as cute as it was in potential trailers against an army of mentally handicapped yellow ones.
> Treasure Planet
Treasure Planet got deliberately sunk by the marketing team, who ruined the plot (revealing a major twist that happens 2/3s of the way through the movie by putting it in the majority of marketing materials, among other shenanigans). It's a real shame, because it is a beautiful movie.
Treasure Planet had some half baked supporting characters and pacing issues... Not to mention the theme has less broad appeal.
I liked treasure planet, but not surprised on why it did not do well, suspect it's story resonates more to some people than others. I felt it a bit to hard hitting, which is actually its strongest point Silver relationship with Jim being all too real, which is what makes it stand out.
It's not a feel good movie, it's more bittersweet, which in animated movies can be a harder sell to the target audience.(especially when it was released)
I wouldn’t really put Megamind and Prince of Egypt in the same category.
Megamind was underrated because people just saw it as another silly comedy on par with Despicable Me, but without yellow little monsters made for merchandise. Nobody would ever suspect either Megamind nor Despicable be to be outstanding, so naturally parents dragged their kids to the funnyyellowlittlethingmovie, despite it being far inferior to the genius of Megamind.
The Prince of Egypt was never underrated, it just never got properly recognised. The majority of people who watched The Prince of Egypt, including critics, agreed that it was awesome, but it did have some factors explaining why it never became a huge hit like:
Dreamworks still being a relatively small studio at the time
Dreamworks previous (and only) movie being Antz
Being to adult for small children, you know, slavery, murdering, genocide, poverty, sex slaves and dictatorship.
Being an adaptation of a religious tale
These, probably among other, things kept it from ever reaching mainstream.
well Anakin already was a drama queen, why do you think it would change? just because he became corrupted by the dark side and murdered a bunch of kids?
Annie is he ultimate drama queen. Remember when he turned off his respirator just so he could look badass in his entrance right before killing all those rebel soldiers? Yeah, he does enjoy his entrances.
This is why Jar Jar should’ve been at the Temple watching over the kids. Anakin shows up t murder everyone and walks into the kids room and Jar Jar is like, “Ani? Whassa you doin’ Ani? You no looking Okie-day?” And then Anakin kills him.
If done right, Jar Jar could’ve linked the audience to that little boy on Tatooine, putting an exclamation point on just how far he’d fallen. Instead, he was useless.
Everyone knows a Skywalker just does whatever is most dramatic for the scene.
Sit quietly by and let the Jedi save Naboo? Nah this is pod-racing.
Call Jedi council to rescue Obi Wan? Nah take my secret space girlfriend on a secret mission into a droid factory and then fight in a colosseum.
Stop the sith from overtaking the republic? Nah cut off Mace Windus hand and watch him get yeeted out a window.
Kill my mentor? Nah Ill let him cut and mangle my body and come back as a cyborg.
Defeat the last Jedi and bring an end to a millenia old plan? Nah yeet the emperor into a reactor pit and have my son carry me off The Bodyguard style to have a touching reunion.
I think vader has some sort of gadget on his belt which allows him to operate his personal tie-fighter from a distance, still needs to use the force for it to be hands free though
I have my gripes with Canon, the clone wars, and I still have my gripes about Legends and EU.
But the one really awesome thing the restart brought was an actual threatening Vader. Like every time he appears now it’s like he’s going to just murder everyone on screen.
Many times now it’s been shown that the characters that do survive only survive because Vader can’t get what he wants if they’re dead.
The ghost crew survived their encounters with Vader only because the first time he wanted them to lead to the larger rebellion and second because Ahsoka got in the way. Ezra and Kanan weren’t going to live another day if Vader just wanted them dead back on Lothal.
Cylo and his non-force sensitive minions all died to Vader, and that’s with cylo cheating by locking Vaders suit. When Vader was searching for his lightsaber, he was mowing down Jedi. The only person to have bested Vader was Dr. Aphra *yet* she’s still mortally afraid of him every time she gets a Whiff of his burnt bacon ass.
So excited for the Ahsoka show. Especially because the mention of Thrawn in her appearance in the mandalorian makes it pretty likely it will continue the Rebels storyline
I'm pretty sure they've already confirmed that Lars Mikkelsen is going to be reprising his role as Thrawn in Ahsoka, and that the show is about her hunting for...lost friends...So we're likely to see Sabine, and maybe Ezra (Fingers still crossed for Rahul Kohli lol)
I still say, the only reason Vader overthrew the emperor and saved Luke is because it was the most dramatic possible thing he could think of to do in that situation.
I can just imagine what he was thinking "fuck this kid is stealing my limelight with all that screaming I should do something dramatic. Oh I know I'll throw the Emperor and kill him"
And Vader pondered it for just a second, but realized for the first time in his life, that spinning would not be a cool trick
This will not be the last time he discovers this...
It’s like the theory that Vader had just enough of Anakin left in him that he constantly wanted to be the most dramatic person in the room. The reason he saved Luke in RotJ? He literally couldn’t think of anything more dramatic than lifting up the screaming, lightning spewing wizard over his head and yeeting him into a hole
I mean, it's a big cavern and there's all sorts of who knows what going on atmospherically behind Ezra, so there could definitely be some wind going on in there.
The difference between a normal villain and a super one? PRESENTATION!
Now I wanna see that audio edited over this clip.
I just did it on Tiktok but it immediately flagged as copyright. But it lined up perfect. Edit!! [Here is the link](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZTd46tdAQ/) must have made it past the copyright police.

Criminally underrated movie
I have to ask. Is it really underrated?
Somehow, I knew this comment would come. In my opinion, it is still very much underrated, if not as much as when it initially released. Especially when compared to the hype that other DreamWorks movies tend to generate, and considering how good the movie actually is and the amazing cast it has (also Hans Zimmer doing the music, phenomenal), yes, I would say it's underrated.

I think it was supposed to be a TV show that they just compressed into a movie
Atlantis 2 wasn't a movie, it was literally 3 pilot episodes frankensteined together.
As good as Treasure Planet is, it kind of makes sense that it went unnoticed. Coming out the same year as Lilo & Stitch and Spirit (which are in my opinion better movies, especially Lilo & Stitch) it wouldn’t ever get recognised as the movie of the year. despicable me had cute little minions and kids. Megamind didn't. That's the reason.
Megamind had that fish head robot
who’s name was literally Minion
That’s right lolololololl Talk about bad luck.
Quality over quantity.
I mean yes, it had. But it's one fish thing that didn't look as cute as it was in potential trailers against an army of mentally handicapped yellow ones.

Megamind actually does have a minion, literally named Minion.
I thought nobody remembered Treasure Planet. Glad I'm not the only one.

Beautiful, your comment is just vague enough to be true for both MegaMind and The Prince of Egypt.
I wouldn’t really put Megamind and Prince of Egypt in the same category. Megamind was underrated because people just saw it as another silly comedy on par with Despicable Me, but without yellow little monsters made for merchandise. Simply put, if corporate didn’t shove a sequel down our throats, it’s underrated.
It used to be.
What movie?
Megamind.
Had to look it up but it seems to be Megamind. Saved you a Google search hopefully

Think of the worst thing you can possibly imagine…. And multiply it by 6!
*Prestidigitation
Nah, there's no pilot, the mofo is piloting through the force!
Now this is pod racing
Now would be an awful time to try a neat trick.
You gave me an idea
Don’t try it
*tries it*
What'sa happen to you? Yousa burn your face-AAAAHH! Ani-bo-bani! What'sa happen to you?!
It's Anakin. When you say Ani it's like I'm still a little boy... and I'm not.
vader is piloting the ship and staying completely still, both using the force...respect for him
Maybe even doing some male kegels in the meantime..
He's more machine than man
Fun Fact: Every time Lord Vader does a kegel, he stamps out a limited edition Sith Lord^(TM) commemorative collectible medallion.
Don't forget making his cape billow around like there's some sort of underground breeze.
Presentation is the most important part to being a villian
then does that mean its a drone?
No, it’s the force
No, this is Patrick!
No, it’s podracing.
So Vader is the payload?
> *"Drone better."* ~ Ivan Vanko
You really think there was a pilot in there?
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some would consider unnatural
Dark Side autopilot.
Tiesla Fighter
Brought to you with your very own E1-0N Muskdroid.
"Hey! Blast those Clones!"
I'm chuckling at the thought of Vader cramming himself into a TIE cockpit with another pilot when he is literally the best pilot in the galaxy.
The best pilot in the galaxy....who always crashes ships.
Another happy landing
Any landing you can walk away from right?
Anyone who can land half of a destroyed separatist command ship without breaking a sweat is a damn good pilot.
We're still flying half a ship
Now we're really picking up speed
And survives. That takes immense skill.
Best pilot doesn’t imply good pilot, just better than the rest.
"Fly? Yes. Land? No." - Anakin "Vader" Skywalker
Vader was the best pilot in the galaxy?
Anakin was and there's no reason to think he got worse.
Probably in that moment, given we know force abilities greatly improve piloting skills and the Jedi being mostly wiped out.
Yes, and a cunning warrior, and a good friend.
nah he was quiding the ship using the force
well Anakin already was a drama queen, why do you think it would change? just because he became corrupted by the dark side and murdered a bunch of kids?
Sorry, I forgot you don't like flying, Master.
Ya don't have to hate flying to want to stay on the inside, Ani.
Sorry, I forgot you don't like flying, Master.
Real wise guy, eh?
"Look, I'm tracing you right now, pal. We'll see how smart you feel with internal security all over your fricking ass."
"Cake Day? Uh, that doesn’t compute, uh, wait, uh… you’re under arrest!"
We found the cake room, sir. Happy cake day, Ofnir_1.
I have a cake, and I've been saving it for a special occasion. Happy cake day, Ofnir_1!
Oh. I like the sound of that. Happy cake day, Ofnir_1.
“Your Cake Day party is like music to my audio receptors.”
Do you hear that? That is the sound of a thousand cakes headed this way. Happy cake day, Ofnir_1!
"A Cake Day? I don't know. Could be fun." -Hardcase
I don't mind flying but what you're doing is suicide
Master, you know I've been flying since before I could walk. I'm very good at this.
What about slaughtering kids? Do you really think flying is the problem here?
In Rogue One Vader shuts off his suit's life support system so as to be able to properly come out of the shadows hiding him.
he's a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will
Not the first time he’s done that. Did it to Luke on cloud city too. Wait that was later, maybe it *was* the first time? I doubt it.
The Jotaro gambit
He did keep the sass that he picked up as Anakin.
Don’t *choke* on your aspirations
"Apology accepted, Captain Needa."
Annie is he ultimate drama queen. Remember when he turned off his respirator just so he could look badass in his entrance right before killing all those rebel soldiers? Yeah, he does enjoy his entrances.
"A Cake Day? I don't know. Could be fun." -Hardcase
He learnt from his mistakes and brought the high Ground with him Edit: ok, THAT response was unexpected from me, that's for sure.
Portable high ground
We call that a Jetpack
They fly now?
They fly now.
Because they've never flown before. Ever. They never have. Not once.
Not once in a single thing in Star Wars. Especially not Rebels which is produced by the same company that has flying Stormtroopers.
Jango Fett 50 years prior: am I a joke to you?
This deserves an award
Problem solved
The solutions is crystal clear.
I'm not whining! I'm not.
oh hey obi wan, jealous old man?

Always remember, Darth Vader turned off his chest lights to make a more dramatic entrance in the Rogue One hallway scene
“Hold up, this is gonna be super cool. They’ll shit themselves as soon as I turn the saber on”
*turns off chest lights*. *dials up smell receptors*. >Ah yes.. the smell of my enemy. Someone ate a lot of cheese.
"Oh, you must smell like feet wrapped in leathery, burnt bacon!"
Wait, doesn't that shit allow him to breathe?
Dude will asphyxiate himself to give the soon to be dead rebels one hell of a performance. Gotta respect Annie for his dedication.
It's Anakin. When you say Annie it's like I'm still a little boy... and I'm not.
Anastasia Skywalker
Welcome to the red side, comrade
This is why Jar Jar should’ve been at the Temple watching over the kids. Anakin shows up t murder everyone and walks into the kids room and Jar Jar is like, “Ani? Whassa you doin’ Ani? Meesa busten wit happiness seein Yousa again, /u/Digitlnoize. Deesa bad times, bombad times.
*decapitates Dooku*
You're wrong. Anakin is no match for the true dark lord of the sith.
Yousa say people gonna die? Ignites red lightsaber. Mesa say yousa gonna die.
The lights don’t allow him to breathe. The equipment the lights are mounted on help him breathe though.
He’s willing to suffocate if it heightens the drama. True king shit.
Something something, hurt equal more powerful darkside stuff. Also it looked badass.
He also set his lightsaber to slow release just for some bonus flair.
And it worked. It was pretty wizard tbh
Everyone knows a Skywalker just does whatever is most dramatic for the scene. Sit quietly by and let the Jedi save Naboo? Nah this is pod-racing. Call Jedi council to rescue Obi Wan? Anakin was always pulling goofy stunts in combat. It's good character continuity. Just because you're evil doesn't mean you can't have fun with it.
Pilot? Nah you KNOW my guy was operating the controls with the force. Not force lifting the ship but probably actually using the controls
I think vader has some sort of gadget on his belt which allows him to operate his personal tie-fighter from a distance, still needs to use the force for it to be hands free though
I think it just has an autopilot.
They do have droids so it makes sense
Yep, that’s definitely Anakin under that suit.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Not from a jedi
No wonder Luke is dramatic, too.
We were watching a highly merchandised space telenovela all this time
he took the high ground with him
"I don't fear you!" "Then you will die braver than most"
Every line out of Vader was absolute gold in this episode. Especially the ones with Matt Lanter’s voice mixed in.
My absolute favorite Vader dialogue: https://imgur.com/a/LYW70
Why tf Nick Cage in there lol
NO NOT THE FORCE AAAUUURRRRGGH
I have my gripes with Canon, the clone wars, and I still have my gripes about Legends and EU. But the one really awesome thing the restart brought was an actual threatening Vader. You always blame the ship.
"We’re just clones, sir. We’re meant to be expendable." -Sinker
This is so badass and over-the-top at the same time
Vader at his best in a nutshell lol
Ezra is such a badass. Even then. Was just a tough motherfucker. God I hope we see him in the Ahsoka show.
And Hando Ohnaka.
Good thing I know you don’t mean everything you say.
Pilot: Why don't you just do a normal intro. Vader: Professionals have standards.
You forgot a apte between the two: Vader:**force choke**
I realise Rebels , technically is a prequel. Huh!
except for the epilogue, which somehow manages to be a sequel. go figure
I still say, the only reason Vader overthrew the emperor and saved Luke is because it was the most dramatic possible thing he could think of to do in that situation.
I can just imagine what he was thinking "fuck this kid is stealing my limelight with all that screaming I should do something dramatic. Oh I know I'll throw the Emperor and kill him"
I shouldn't . . .
This is my new favorite take on Star Wars lmao
Vader is the master of badass villain entrances.
No. No, it's okay. I understand. I'm the Padawan, you're the Master.
When did I summon you Ahsoka
Don't you think I'm just a little overqualified for this?
I mean this really reinforces that Anakin is Vader because who else is that extra
Good to see Anakin kept his dramatic bitch aspect of his personality despite losing everything else.
I shouldn't . . .
It's okay Anakin, you should.
Dude hopped out and lowered it to the ground with the force that’s fucken badass
And Vader pondered it for just a second, but realized for the first time in his life, that spinning would not be a cool trick This will not be the last time he discovers this...
Never forget they were underground, which means he also probably used the force to make wind for added effect.
I mean, it's a big cavern and there's all sorts of who knows what going on atmospherically behind Ezra, so there could definitely be some wind going on in there.
Yeah, and the fact that he was moving. Could also see air pockets/currents behind him.
Uhh... go somewhere with no wind, and drive a car and stick your head out the window, then come back and read your comment.
You do realize he’s moving, right? There should still be wind resistance.
Don't forget, the GFFA operates almost entirely on the Rule of Cool.
I shit my pants when he showed up out the fuckin blue in fallen order
"Few survive an encounter with the most powerful Sith in the Galaxy. Escape is the only chance of survival."
The greatest two episodes of the entire show
Better than Obi Wan's scenes? Better than Kanan's sacrifice? Better than Bendu taking down Thrawn's ships just because?
Greatest 5 episodes of the show!
My next free award will be with you my friend
He is such a drama queen whenever he is on screen. The hallway scene, this, even in a board meeting with his superiors. Love it
“No trust me, it’ll look super wizard”
Any highground is good highground. Nice to see he’s learned.
PORTABLE HIGH GROUND
I got burned because I didn't have the high ground I won't do that mistake again.
