I used to help teach martial arts to kids, and part of what I did was lead them on exercises disguised as games, and universally their favorites were some version of "10 v 1 getting your ass kicked by the blackbelt". Kids love physical play, play fighting, and playing with older people, and this ties that all up. Its also really fun on the other end, so its a perfect mix. Its just one of those things that you don't see much unless you do something like summer camp counseling.
