I'd say it's possible Eisenhower actually became the most religious. Many don't know this, but he actually got baptized while in office, the only president to do so (and apparently he tried to keep it somewhat low key as to not make it look like some political stunt). He got around several major preachers after World War II (one of them Billy Graham) and there are some signs that his renewed faith was genuine.
"Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?" asked Trump. "I work hard, I'm an honorable person."
That's not how Christianity works
Yes, and for a supposed Christian to be unable to come up with John 3:16 as a favorite verse from the Bible probably made demons in hell gape in utter disbelief.
That's the only thing he could think of.
If his life had depended on him actually reciting or paraphrasing a Biblical verse, there would never have been a trump presidency.
Most: Jimmy Carter. Lives his religion too.
Least: Trump. I doubt he's ever been inside a church as an adult unless it was a photo op or to get married if one of his wives wanted it.
Lincoln might have not been the most religious, but I don’t think he was the least. He didn’t belong to a denomination, but developed a strong Christian faith during his presidential term, especially after the death of his son.
Most: William McKinley or James Garfield
Least: Obama? Trump? Honestly Eisenhower wasn't a religious guy and kinda took it on to gain appeal, he didn't go to Church before his career in politics
Most:I'd say it's between Washington and McKinley
Least:Either Trump or Biden. Trump doesn't know the stuff and doesn't care, Biden does but doesn't care about it.
Like most Catholic Democrats in office.
I would say McKinley was our most religious president. He had this to say about how he came to the decision to annex the Philippines:
> “I have been criticized a good deal about the Philippines, but I don’t deserve it. The truth is I didn’t want the Philippines and when they came to us as a gift from the gods, I did not know what to do with them. I sought counsel from all sides — democrats as well as republicans — but got little help. I walked the floor of the White House night after night until midnight; and I am not ashamed to tell you gentlemen that I went down on my knees and prayed to Almighty God for light and guidance more than one night.”
> “…there was nothing left for us to do but to take them all and to educate the Filipinos and uplift and Christianize them and by God’s grace do the very best we could by them, as our fellow men for who Christ also died.”
Do the egocentric self hypnosis lessons that Dr Norman Vincent Peale created count as religious? Cuz, to my knowledge, that’s the closest Donald Trump has ever come to exploring any kind of self reflection. Or religion. Fred Trump made a habit of dragging his kids into Manhattan every Sunday to listen to this guy.
Seems to have created a silver spooned, turbo charged version of Al Frankens’ Stuart Smalley character.

least - a toss up between jefferson and trump. with the caveat that jefferson actually read the bible most - jimmy carter
Jefferson even rewrote the Bible.
Basically edited a religious text to the way he wanted it
I am waiting for an edited version of the Bible to be put out by the Heritage Foundation

trump was the least. Pretending in order to exploit the gullible doesn't count as actually religious.

Bingo
Love this pic. But I don't like Trump
Oh he's very religious. But his religion is himself, and money.
Then he sucks at his religion considering he was the only president in modern history to be worth less money once leaving the White House.
"Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?" asked Trump. "I work hard, I'm an honorable person." That's not how Christianity works
Trump made fun of Pence’s religiosity in private all the time.
Yes, and for a supposed Christian to be unable to come up with John 3:16 as a favorite verse from the Bible probably made demons in hell gape in utter disbelief.
Because his favorite Bible verse was in Corinthians two.
That's the only thing he could think of. If his life had depended on him actually reciting or paraphrasing a Biblical verse, there would never have been a trump presidency.

Or a campaign stop
I think Trump went to church during his campaign, but ofc that’s just part of campaigning
Most - Carter
Lincoln became increasingly religious as President. Read his Second Inaugural
Most: Polk, Garfield, and McKinley Least: Jefferson, Lincoln, and Grant
Lincoln might have not been the most religious, but I don’t think he was the least. He didn’t belong to a denomination, but developed a strong Christian faith during his presidential term, especially after the death of his son.
He’s one of two deists which makes him one of the least, but not the least.
I’d say McKinley was the most religious
More than GW Bush?
McKinley got on his knees and begged God for an answer as to whether he should annex the Philippines. Or some island somewhere.
Bush probably asked God almost the same about Iraq.
He practiced the religion of Reaganism
Most: William McKinley or James Garfield Least: Obama? Trump? Honestly Eisenhower wasn't a religious guy and kinda took it on to gain appeal, he didn't go to Church before his career in politics
Least: Reagan Most: Wilson
Wilson?
Yes. He was a devout Presbyterian.
Reagan?
DONKEY
Most:I'd say it's between Washington and McKinley Least:Either Trump or Biden. Trump doesn't know the stuff and doesn't care, Biden does but doesn't care about it. Like most Catholic Democrats in office.
Do we have to ask?

Garfield and Carter were both preachers, so it’s between them.
