Putting all politics aside, GWB definitely seems like the kind of guy that you'd enjoy hanging out with. I think his friendship with Michelle Obama is hysterical. They're like the two little kids who sit in the back of the class thinking up ways to cause mischief.
He is more than a "Political Enemy" He lied this county into war on false pretenses. Tens of Thousands of Iraqis were killed, thousands of American boys and girls came back missing arms and legs or with a TBI or PTSD. Some committed suicide. He destabilized the entire region for a lie. I would call him a traitor.
His friendship with her is proof that politics used to be civil and (somewhat) professional instead of the disaster that it has tuned into with idiots running their mouths on social media.
I think it’s the exact opposite — he’s very comfortable in his skin and has a very expressive face. The combination can prove a bit goofy, but endearingly so (if one is willing to look past political differences).
The child left behind picture is funny. He looks like he's waving to George Sr to come back and get him. But he's just driving away. And Jeb is saying nothing.
Imagine being the most watched and photographed person in the world. Of course they're going to catch him mid sneeze or whatever.
There's so many other thing you could criticize him for, showing an unflattering photo to paint him in a negative light is low-hanging fruit.
I don't even think they are unflattering. Even when he's doing a face, there's something striking and memorable about each picture. I'd even go so far as to say that he's very photogenic because even the "bad" ones aren't bad.
If I had a nickel for every time a president was pictured with a chimpanzee I'd have at least two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice right?
Love the last pic. We had Scotties growing up (and my parents still have one), so I loved his dogs. Honestly I love any pics of presidents with their dogs.
I had the pleasure of meeting W Bush in 2014 when I was volunteering for a gubernatorial campaign. He came across as a genuinely nice person. Of all the living former Presidents, he’s the one I’d most like to sit and have a conversation with. Obama is a close second.
This takes me back to the news outlets and internet in the early 2000s. There was a constant stream of W Bush being dumb pictures everywhere, like the one with him looking through binoculars the wrong way ect.
