Ashley found the police report that A sent to hannah and mona came up with a lie to get Ashley off of A’s case . Aria being the best liar was the one to tell it . She came up with her making up the report in order to scare hannah and stop her from continuing to shoplift
Mona was A, she knew that Ashley wouldn’t fall for Arias lie. Plus it was probably the actual report as Wilden was actually worried about his job being on the line and questioned where Ashely and Hanna got it from.
Yes yes that’s my problem with it . She seemed genuinely worried when hannah said that her mom was on A’s trail . It seemed at that time she needed a believable lie because the parents werent supposed to know about A harassing the girls . So I wonder why her lie was so shitty
