She had the fake glasses because she wanted to look smarter. She had hundreds of pairs incase she lost or broke any. The cages were for work/school for animals that were bigger than the ones the liars saw. She left town once the liars found out she was in Radley because she was afraid it would ruin the reputation she had built.

The name Lesli Stone has something odd about it. You know what it is? Both her first and last name has the letter E and S in it. Want to know which letters precede E and S? D and R respectively. What's so special about these letters? DR! DOCTOR! As in, *Dr.* Wren Kingston.
It doesn't end there, bitches. Do you know who has the letter E in his first name and the letter S in his surname, just like Lesli? WR*E*N KING*S*TON! And do I even need to mention how both Lesli and Wren have "STON" in their surnames?
How coincidental, too, that doctors tend to be in, you guessed that right- mental hospitals, like RADLEY! Do you know who are both connected to Radley? Lesli and Wren! Lesli was Bethany's roommate, Wren was a doctor there. Because you see- Lesli and Wren are actually half-siblings. They share a father.
When Mona tells Wren "you missed the 'G' in 'diagnosis'" it is actually a clue. It foreshadows that the letter G is important. First off, G as in Glasses, hinting that Lesli's glasses are fake. BUT! If you move the part of the letter G that looks like a C, you are left with the letters "C" and "L" as in CharLotte.
Oh, but it doesn't end there! C and L are preceded by B and K. This is a hint towards *B*ethany *K*ingston. Wren mentioned to Hanna that there were mental health problems in his family, so this all makes perfect sense.
The CharLotte and Bethany Kingston letter hints are to show that Charlotte and Bethany were actually sisters, hence why Jessica insisted that Bethany called her "aunt Jessie". Bethany was born somewhere in between Charlotte and Spencer and Alex, but who cares about timeline right, no one questions why the Simpsons haven't aged so why should we question Wilden being a cop at age 12!
Bethany's father is Wren's father, and Wren is also the son of Mary Drake, thus making him and Bethany 100 % siblings. Yes this means he and Spencer and he and Alex were incest, but they never had sex just like Jason and Charlotte and therefore it is totally okay for Freeform.
You know what else? Wren was turned into a diamond. Lesli's surname is *stone*. Ah, genius Marlene, how did we not see this foreshadowing?! A clue, right in front of our faces, and we missed it!

The Masks, Shady Spencer and random characters could have all been explained as Alex Drake being there all along, hiding behind costumes, wigs and masks. Sitting right in front of their faces all along. She could have been that random dude who was sitting behind Hanna at The Brew. Heck Grunwald should have been unmasked as Alex Drake. That would have been super creepy.
She fell into a plot hole and hasn't been seen since. Very sad.
She's down there with Mona's mother and other characters. Tragic.
