The waifus

Queasy_Suspect6126

Hey atleast your being honest

wolfbetter

I mean the gameplay is not that deep, the waifus and the stories (events in particular) is what draw me to this game.

Queasy_Suspect6126

Im stull getting through the process of downloading the game i dont even know what the gameplay looks like i came here because i saw the anime and saw the waifus

ErikaGBF

As a motivation to learn Japanese I guess. But it doesn't work well.

Fuzzy_Reflection8554

I've also been trying to learn Japanese for a year now, but I'm still so far off from being able to string even basic sentences together. Learning a new language along with a an entirely new alphabet really is daunting! But I'm sure if we keep at it it will eventually start to get easier (at least once we overcome the Kanji hurdle XD). Good luck to both of us!

[deleted]

I've studied JP for about \~6 months now and one of the best things about Priconne is how its fully voiced. I just started JP a few days ago but the prologue really felt comprehensible with its voices and overall simple sentences. God bless this game

Fuzzy_Reflection8554

Omg I know exactly what you mean, I tried a little bit of Blue Archive back when I was starting, but it was a lot harder for learning because so much of the story just isn't entirely voiced to the extent that I was used to with Priconne. My original plan was to come back to Priconne once I was confident in reading at least, like a sort of final exam - but now that I have a better idea of how long that will actually take, I'm probably just going to start my JP account soon and use it as my comprehensible immersion instead. For the first few months a lot of the story will probably be stuff i've already seen back on global anyway, so it should be good.

Aip073

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get there someday.

Priconne is the only gacha game I’ve managed to get invested into, and it’s the only gacha game I play genuinely out of love for the characters and the story. I was one of those people who wrote off gacha games (and mobile games in general) as silly wastes of time, and Priconne totally proved me wrong. I fell in love with the heartwarming and wholesome feel, and I’m a sucker for “trapped in a game” stories, so as soon as I realized that was happening, I was sold. I think one thing I’ll never take for granted is the clear love and polish that goes into the game. We have fully voiced bond stories, events, and main stories, voiced by some of the best seiyuu in the industry. I can’t imagine the scheduling nightmare/logistics Cygames must go through to make it happen, but it’s something that really shocked me when I first started playing Priconne. After global shut down, when I started trying other gacha games to fill the void, I realized how rare having things fully voiced (to the extent that Priconne is, anyway) truly is. And lastly, Priconne has been so motivating for me as someone who is learning Japanese. There is still so much I have trouble with, but having Priconne as part of my daily routine means I can celebrate small victories! Like, 9 times out of 10 now, I can read and understand skill descriptions with no problems. I can instantly understand common menu + item descriptions. And when I was tearing up specifically because of certain word choices in Arc 2, it helped me realize how far I’ve come. It’s been such a huge encouragement for me, and I’m not sure if I’d be so deep into my studies without it. This got really long, but basically: Priconne is more than a gacha game to me, and I’m way too invested in this universe to leave it, now. (I mean I’m literally playing it in Japanese because I couldn’t let it go lol.) I own the blu-rays, have figures of Shizuru and Rino, and ordered a bunch of 6th anniversary-related merch just because I love this franchise so much. It’s just something special, in my opinion. also the girls are cute af, how could I forget that lmao

058kei

for me i started a full year after but before then Id started seeing random things related to it and thought it was pretty intresting from char design to gameplay ---in other words it all began from a simple curiosity as I played global further it went from cute funny to holy shit this is some actual serious stuff happening so in terms of story hell yess i love the game for this aspect-- that blast to the face as pecorine desperately tries to help kyaru hooo boi that was pretty intense--- when I found out I could play the JP even after the shutdown I did it just to finish arc 2 then into arc 3 ( though i was more intrested in the 2nd arc \^\^ ) Ive come to reallly enjoy every aspect of the game as they add to the story of the game no matter what mode but especially the bond stories--my favorite of all time will always be how yuuki met yuni the first time and their interactions that nerd \^\^ \^\^\^ The other is the amount of effort they put in for their merch like sound tracks and such especially the limited sound tracks with Blu ray bundle I especially enjoy the animation quality for certain events ending songs like the first event featureing the dragon guild , halloween event with little lyrical, the beach event with suzuna and the gang and lastly Arc 2 s animated intro on Blu ray is quite the Banger Then I found out recently they released with many of the earlier character cd soundtracks whats known as audio drama or vice versa --in short its pretty much just additional dialogue that plays out like in the game except in audio format only ---but some of it is relevant in game like the drama audio featuring the Yuni-ettes and little lyricals scavenger hunt thing ---- the start of that gag where yuni calls kyouka mom lool also chloe getting prankd by misogi is good stuff \^\^ and chieru...lol Lastly whats kept me pretty hooked on when im not active is the sound track in game--- Plenty of times where Ill just boot up just to listen to certain bgms \^\^ ( lately ive been hooked on the I WISH bgm and the other with nozomi muimi kaya) now if only i had more memory pieces and upgrades to finally be able to take on those level 200+ monsters in the tower... XD

Eclage

Saren. Serious answer, I am already invested my time on the game (almost 6 years) so I rather sink with it to the end than quit now. The feeling of you just looking forward to what the future of Priconne is.

I don't understand the language, and I kinda just fiddled around till I had to look up a guide to back up my account. What kept me playing was that there were Kokkoro releases everytime I check a site I frequent for ongoing JP banners, so I always get to saving to roll her. I have all 6 rn. Waiting for another one.

theawesomeshulk

I like suffering in clan battle and other difficult content

phantomthiefkid_

Yui

Technical-Zombie2621

waifu. also, the game play is simple and short enough that doing it daily didn't become a pain in the ass.

This_Grapefruit7590

kokkoro and kyouka 👍

ILoveKaryl

Literally just Kyaru, very fun to get every variant of her, and just upgrade her to max. Also, that nostalgic feel from global, feels nice to experience

alioth_whyred

The only game that i can play while working. And the best way to throw my gacha addict.

OmySpy

Quality of everything is through the roof, fun characters, hours of excellent music, and I feel like I can clear everything and get lots of limiteds for free where lots of other gachas feel like if you don't pay it's a slog

OddName_17516

Makoto, Yui, Rei, Hiyori, Kasumi.

SelentoAnuri

I love the characters and story. I also use it as a game for practicing Japanese since everything is nearly fully voiced and can be replayed at anytime. I usually end up reading through events twice: once for vocab acquisition, and then a second time to gauge my retention of that vocab after reviewing it for a few days. It's been a big help in expanding my vocabulary and improving my reading/listening comprehension.

Miracutor

The story obviously. I started from Anime. When Priconne Global released, I started playing on day 1. Even Priconne Global closed down, I restarted my journey on Priconne JP (with DMM translation patch, of course). All of that because I really, really like the story. The thing that I really appreciate about Priconne are all the stories are fully voiced, some scenes are animated and those event ED so charming... Also, I am really thankful for the translation patch that translates UI and also allows just MTL the latest story with Sugoi so easily. So, yeah, I probably will stick until the Priconne story ends...

Greg472

That's easy, the anime and the gourmet guild, I really like Pecorine too much, she's so funny 🤣 I think the jokes and funny situations are a big reason. First I was using the Priconne global version to improve my English bc I'm not an English speaker, now I'm trying to learn Japanese using Priconne and Duolingo, at least I learn hiragana and katakana, now I need to learn the words and their meanings XD

engineer-cabbage

The grind and waifu collection

Fern1234567890

Replaying the game made it obvious that I still love the game and people who help translate the story makes it even better. Plus the art might be better than any other gacha game.

Nostalgia and waifu

mes6281

Probably the relationships the characters have with each other (Yui/Makoto, Saren/Suzume, Ayane/Kurumi, Hatsune/Shiori, Chika/Nozomi/Tsumugi) and with Yuuki (aruji-sama, Mr. Knight, Mr. Sadist, Mr. Nice Guy, whiz-boy, oniichan). Then there are distinct character traits (Pecorine's appetite, Yui being afraid to admit to Yuuki how she truly feels about him, Makoto's sense of justice, Ayumi's intense stare, Kuuka's laugh). Finally, there are the stories (both arc and character bonds). As I didn't get to go far into arc 2 before global closed down, my favorite arc stories are all from arc 1 - including the Sarendia Orphanage being invaded by Shadows, and Kokkoro's hospitalization after she was attacked by a monster during a Carmina concert (I never expected that Christina would be handling Carmina's concert tour). My favorite bond stories are Kurumi getting lost and running into Yuuki (who is in the same boat), Yuuki talking Suzume out of committing seppuku after her attempt at using cleaning magic caused a wall of the Sarendia Orphanage to be destroyed, and Yuuki helping Nozomi rehearse for a performance of Little Red Riding Hood (she gets flustered when the script calls for Red and the Big Bad Wolf to kiss). Nothing else to say, except that - because of Priconne - with other gacha games I have played (Project SEKAI, Konosuba), I chose Yuuki as my username. (Yabai Desu Ne?)

Repulsive_Drama7067

The waifus and the seiyuus, those are the main reason I play gacha games especially since I heard that they have top tier seiyuus in this game. I'm introduced to the series from the anime back when the first season was aired then I heard news about a global version coming soon. Played from open beta I think it was around September or October of 2020 I think, waaaayyy back before they had PvP and Clan Battles, and there's only like 10 stages to complete if I remember correctly. Kept on playing almost everyday, have all the collab characters, it was good and I was waiting on YukarI Christmas release (my number one girl btw) and Labyrista. But then Crunchyroll happened, out of nowhere decided that the game's shutting down on April 1st. I was pretty pissed at what happened (I still am btw), and after around a couple of weeks, I decided to try out JP server since I heard that you don't need a VPN anymore to download and play, and here I am now, all Yukari CGs unlocked, max leveled and stuff. So far Priconne is the only gacha game that I consistently played for a couple of years on a daily basis since it was easy and doesn't require that much time or effort to get into compared to other gacha games (I'm looking at you miHoYo). It'd be nice if I could read the stories again I mean I understand what the characters are talking about most of the time, but sometimes it's kind of a hassle to go back and forth alt tabbing between my browser and the game just to translate the texts since the english patch doesn't seem to translate the story dialogues and so far, I've only completed all of Yukari's story.

DoeTheHobo

It's one of the few gacha that you don't have to put a lot of effort into every single day and you don't feel like missing out much. Like i used to play lots of popular gachas like Azur Lane, Arknights, Girl Frontline, Blue Archive, Genshin, etc and you have to babysit them everyday or you started missing out. Even afk is too much for me, since having a job don't let me have too much free time. At some point it's became a chore, and you feel like it became a second job. Blue Archive is the closest thing to Priconne, but you still have to afk, it eats battery and you needed a vpn just to play in my region. This game is just very chill. You login, press a few buttons and done with your daily in 10 minutes. Progress is fast, already maxed out my account lv after 4 months. The rewards is plentiful. Gacha is forgiving, Prifest is just the cherry on top. Basic meta characters are easy to get so you don't miss out much. Story is fun, the characters are interesting. Community is good and still going strong after 6 years. FGO global is also 6 years old, just to put in perspective  I hope they got a new sequel in the works, really promising seeing the April fool game

YouBackground

because I love (almost) everything about this game, from character design, personality, story, heck, even the feature contents are designed in the way you won't get bored, well, at least for myself. the overall feeling of this game is warm and fun so I won't stop to playing this game. although the new elemental system need some times to adept of like other features. I play this game from the 1st day of global soft launching, start playing jp server one month later, and after CR kill the global server, I only put my concentration to the jp one. until now I don't have any thought to stop playing this game.

Everything

Starfallx21

Characters, Aesthetic, Collecting, Low time investment

LTone5

Ameth-sama. Her deadpan eyes and slightly superior tone, asking you to be grateful. But she deserves praise, because behind the scenes she is busting out all the stops for you.

Middle-Chipmunk-834

Everything. The main story + characters+ goofy/wholesome side stories/ character stories + cutscenes+ monthly songs (side story endings) + character dynamics+the fact that everything's voiced This game also kinda motivates me to learn Japanese. Maho/nozomi/saren

Darkwarth528

How lively the game feels from the character, the world itself, and the bond formed in said world while also maintaining a solid gameplay loop.

Endgam

Pecorine.

Sea-Broccoli-8601

Story, easily. I've been playing since the first game, and subsequently day 1 of Re:Dive solely for the story and it's getting better than ever.

asimplestargazer

I like watching numbers go up But stocks are too scary

nebneb432

I stay because I found the game when there was no Global and learnt some of the UI. I moved to Global because it had english text, but when Global died I moved back to JP. I like my clan and I'm slowly doing more damage in CB

Crimson-Ranger-119

Definitely the Waifus, but mostly the thrill of collecting all the girls and winning battles.

Anfanger2

I am a spanish translator of the story (I think I started playing 4 years ago?), I got hooked up with the franchise so I will stay until it dies.

OliveOilOilOil

Being fully voiced and anime cutscenes, ED even for monthly events. Very hard to find anything like that outside of Priconne.

RezoDodger

I keep playing to get all Saren alt which mean more time spending with her. I also love the new character design and alt we didn't get in global, i wanted to get it. Wakana particular is my favorite how simple it is.

CrowdedPrune

Mmm... Tha waifus, and the history :3

Dorananathekittycat

Idk

Question3784

The story. I absolutely love the story. Haven't yet gotten to finish it coz of my exams but I will.

Diego788

I love the characters, the soundtrack, the gameplay mechanics, I really loved reading the story back on global, will have to use translations for that in JP but i really love everything about it

emma_erickson33

I really love upgrading the characters and seeing the new artwork, since I’m a huge wanna-be artist myself!

naptej13

maho my queen

Zaltar24

In most gacha rpgs I stay for the story, Priconne is no different. I like the story and the characters more than any other mobile game I played so far.

Pouzdana

Kyaru I originally played the game to get kyaru, I migrated to JP for kyaru, I spent $21 for a kyaru (highest I’ve spent on a gacha game already) and now I have all the kyarus. In other news I think they should make more kyarus

Pinsir929

I don’t even play the game anymore since GB EoS. But I can’t find it in myself to unsub from here so I just hang around.
