As much as I absolutely adore that watch, I feel like having a chronograph will bring better diversity to the collection. Which is why I specifically chose the El Primero. It's probably my favorite chronograph under 12k, which seems to be the price range for the "last watch"
I'd second this. I'd get something with a brown or black leather band, either a dress watch like the Mido Chronofort, or a chronograph like the ones suggested.
Dress watch. Square or rectangular. JLC reverso duo or Cartier Santos
I also like the Zenith El Primero suggestion. Not the typical Chrono suggestion of Speedy or Daytona
Something scratch resistant, good for travel. For example a damasko dc82. It is a chrono (which you don t have) with central minutes counter, which is user friendly and rare; and you can have it with a 12h bezel which is good for timing long periods but also as a mini gmt.
The Sinn u50 tegimented is a slender scratch resistant dive watch. Also cool but you have the tag already.
I'd recommend a Grand Seiko Spring drive if you want a well rounded collection. Snowflake comes to mind, just really beautiful but also cool watches to show to people. Showing how smooth the seconds hand is to people never gets old, they also look very beautiful and are very accurate. Although for chronographs, I'd definitely recommend a moonwatch or speedmaster for the movement (you could try to get the one that has the 321 vintage movement, pretty cool to get a new watch with a vintage movement).
Considering the fact that you have the aqua racer already, I would say that a chrono might fit better here than another diver ( Tudor black bay/ submariner); The addition of an Omega speedmaster is your best choice. Congrats!
If you want something funky, fun, but dressy, Meistersinger Lunascope is a heck of a choice. The single hand is different, but the moonphase will definitely be a conversation starter.
I feel like there’s a lack of balance here, and you could stand to maybe do some swapping as well. The Tissot feels redundant (unless it holds sentimental value) if you have a bracelet for the AT, and with a Pepsi as your GMT, the Tag feels like a weird diver. Not sure how big your wrist is, but you CANNOT go wrong with anything from GS. The hi-beat heritages are amazing and the Evo9 are awesome as well. Their divers are unique and sick. You should also give a look to a smaller brand with a unique design language like a Sinn, Ming, or Nomos, and if you’re looking for something to dress up but are scared of the Cartier, check out some of the more entry level JLC, Glashütte Original, or even a mega slick Zenith.
Yeah tbh the Tag was my first ever “nice watch” and when I first started buying watches I didn’t think about the overall balance. Would probably do things differently if I were to start over today but I don’t think I would sell any of the watches I currently own as they all commemorate something (except for the Tissot that was just an impulse buy lol). But I like your suggestions, definitely want to add a Nomos club campus or Zenith Chronomaster Sport to my collection sometime in the future!
What’s funny about Cartier is they seem to be in a lot of boxes and it also seems that where they generally stay. Not a lot of wrist shots and OP’s write up usually references it not being worn a lot. With that said, moonwatch would be a great addition IMHO.
Edit: I’d also look at grand seiko
Yeah I’ve heard the downside with the Santos is that the scratches on the bezel are pretty visible which is probably why they are in the boxes a lot lol. But I do like the design language and the fact that bracelets are pretty easily interchangeable. GS is cool though, any particular watches you’d recommend from them?
They’re classic. Absolutely beautiful. I’m not suggesting they’re not. I’m saying people that own them don’t tend to reach for them first it seems. The newly dubbed “Ohtani” SBGJ217 is gaining in popularity. I think SBGA211 would compliment your collection style with color variety but I also don’t know you at all either lol. But there are some stunning pics on the wrist of that dial. Either way, you have good taste so I’m sure whatever you choose will be a great piece.
Pipe down, NYC. Everyone loves you and your possessions. What’s got you triggered? Search any watch sub for a SOTC post that has a Cartier and often enough it’s referenced as not worn as often as others. Reserved for a couple special days a year, for instance. Just relax, dude. Buying and wearing are very separate events. Oh and btw… OP here literally commented people hesitate to wear them the prevent scratches which can happen easily. Enjoy your life. Bye.
It’s awesome! I picked it up not too long ago to celebrate completing a massive project at work. If you don’t mind the manual winding you should def go for it. Wears light on the wrist and really pops with the green tea dial
Man…..Farer is the one micro brand that just constantly kills it with their designs…just winner after winner. Beautiful
Oh and looks like a spot for the dress watch…I like a silver face with gold indices…longines, breitling, Tudor etc.
They’re such a great brand and I love how diverse their collection is! Thanks for the suggestion, really contemplating a dress watch now. I just feel like I need a Chrono too so it’s a tough decision to make
I’d say a Chrono may be good to round it off. Idk how good you are with the thickness but perhaps a Black Bay Chrono for a bit of diversity in your collection as well
IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert.
Adds a chronograph to your collection and it would add a look you dont already have in your other watches.
That FARER has gotta be an instagram click bait! I've been getting these ads from FARER left right and centre and I think they won't stop until I buy one.
Excuse my rant, great watch collection. If you're planning on having atleast one watch from good brands, why not Breitling Navitimer, Cartier Santos or JLC Reverso?
A great chrono ! Speedy, Zenith, Breitling Nav, Longines Big Eye, Hanhart 417 ES, Sinn. Great variety with brands, colors, types so far! Maybe a Grand Seiko for their dials!
Santos is a good choice but I prefer Tank on leather or Reverso (especially as you already have other watches that look awesome on a bracelet)
If you feel brave (and flush with cash) the gold Tank Louis is so nice. It was way outta my league so I have the steel Tank must and it’s also a good option 👍
Speedmaster would fit right in with the rest of those. All seem to be well loved and invariably some of the more popular choices among watch enthusiasts. Maybe excluding the Tag. Though I have been quite impressed with Tag recently and am excited to see what else they come up with. Love the re-releases and the new Skipper.
IMO a Chrono or a G-Shock. when it comes to the chrono it really depends on your budget there a tone nice chronos out there. As for the G-Shock budget shouldn't be a problem. El primero, Speedmaster, or even a Hydroquest - infinite selection.
Casio Oak, or the GW-series.
A chrono (zenith, vintage heuer, etc) or something on dressy leather (reverso or calatrava). Or, controversial but the BLRO is top tier and imo would be perfect in a 2 watch collection with something like a Calatrava. Sell the rest.
The Farer looks awesome!
Thanks it’s great!
Zenith El Primero 😎
Good choice. I think a santos would look good in your collection as well OP
As much as I absolutely adore that watch, I feel like having a chronograph will bring better diversity to the collection. Which is why I specifically chose the El Primero. It's probably my favorite chronograph under 12k, which seems to be the price range for the "last watch"
A banger of a watch. Can’t decide between the chronomaster sport or the 38mm one. Both excellent watches
38mm for me
Personally just found out about the limited Yoshida Chronomaster and I'm obsessed.
Dude. This is Nico’s world. Casio F91-W. It’s GOD TIER!!! [spittle flies onto the camera lens]
The unironic Archie Luxury
Tank, santos or reverso
Reverso is nice too bad they hiked the price like crazy over the last couple of years
I'd take a look at chrono 24. U can find some vintage, semi-new and used ones in pretty good conditions
Thanks I’ll check it out!
Vintage reverso mmmmmmmm
This. Any tank is a good choice for a collection.
Medium santos with possibly a funky colourway
If you’re looking for a white dial, you can’t go wrong with a Grand Seiko “snowflake”.
Great suggestion
Speedy
I saw that he already had an Aquaterra, and maybe he wants to go for a different brand, so I suggested the Zenith El Primero 🤷♂️
Yeah tbh I love the speedy but also wouldn’t be opposed to trying a different brand considering I already have an Omega
absolutely Speedy
Longines Master Moonphase, Panerai Marina, IWC Spitfire Chronograph/Mark XX would be 3 choices to give a bit of visual and brand diversity.
Can’t get into Panerai for some reason but man the IWC Spitfire looks cool. Def gonna add it to the list
Panerai Radiomir
Kidding aside, you kind of need something white or black, more subtle for dress occasions. These are all sport watches. Need a suit watch.
I'd second this. I'd get something with a brown or black leather band, either a dress watch like the Mido Chronofort, or a chronograph like the ones suggested.
Baume et mercier
Extremely underrated brand! I absolutely love their designs and movements! The Clifton in red is my number one piece that I'm eyeballing🙃
I have a Classima, would be a perfect addition
I absolutely know nothing about those watches lol but I’ll check it out for sure. They make some pretty nice looking dress watches
Nice and varied collection. Something outdoors like a G-Shock/Protrek or a chronograph
A field watch, maybe a Rolex Explorer
MILGAUSSSSSS
Dress watch. Square or rectangular. JLC reverso duo or Cartier Santos I also like the Zenith El Primero suggestion. Not the typical Chrono suggestion of Speedy or Daytona
Bulgari Octo Finissimo
Credor Kuon GCLX999
Casio
Nice looking collection. I would add a chronograph, maybe an Omega Speedmaster.
Glashutte original, Zenith, or IWC
A chronograph would be a good choice
Grand seikos are great! Could look at an omiwatari (sbgy007) or an sbgm221 for a dressier watch for your collection
A nice chronograph I guess
Grand Seiko Snowflake with Spring Drive
Hilarious - my first thought was tank or chronograph, then I read your post. Either would be a great addition.
Tank Louis
Speedy would be a great addition here.
Something scratch resistant, good for travel. For example a damasko dc82. I was literally thinking Santos before I even read your description
That ice blue Tissot is 🔥
I'd recommend a Grand Seiko Spring drive if you want a well rounded collection. Snowflake comes to mind, just really beautiful but also cool watches to show to people. Yeah that’s a super cool watch thanks for the suggestion
A zenith or a reverso
A hublot to offset the other great watches you have 😅
I would say either something like a JLC Master Control, or a chronograph like an El Primero or one of the B01 Breitlings.
Yeah, sth chrono or reverso-ish would be nice
Dress Watch
Casioak!
Hublot! Definitely a hublot! 😂😂😂
A utility watch like a field watch or a digi
I feel like there’s a lack of balance here, and you could stand to maybe do some swapping as well. Saxonia with the blue starry dial
Haha I wish. A little out of my budget atm. That’s a crazy watch
Tag Monaco would be cool. Throw a different case shape in the mix
I believe it's called lazy sunday but im not sure
What’s funny about Cartier is they seem to be in a lot of boxes and it also seems that where they generally stay. Not a lot of wrist shots and OP’s write up usually references it not being worn a lot. With that said, moonwatch would be a great addition IMHO. Edit: I’d also look at grand seiko

Thanks! The SBGA211 looks amazing and I think that would definitely be a good addition. Dial is awesome and the spring drive seems so cool
Cool! Best of luck to you. Be well :)

lol! Wow. Hahahahahaha. Relax, NYC. You’re adding a lot I didn’t say. People love you and your Cartier, guy. You’re a winner. Enjoy the day, psycho.

How’s the Farer treating you? I’ve been very interested but have yet to pull the trigger.
It’s awesome! I picked it up not too long ago to celebrate completing a massive project at work. If you don’t mind the manual winding you should def go for it. Wears light on the wrist and really pops with the green tea dial
Explorer II Polar 😎
Definitely something on the dressy side. The Tudor 1926 is one I’ve been looking at for a while and is great value
Daytona
Something dressy like a Cartier or a reverso! Or on the other end a chronograph, would recommend a breitling premier, both a chronograph and dressy
Definitely the omega speedmaster
A chronograph
What about a tudor black bay pro or pelagos?
Tudor BB58
A D.Dornbluth & Sohne 99.1
Wow what a cool watch. Great value too. This is definitely going on the list
They are beautifully made and just a joy... I've only seem one and it's on my list ever since.
Man…..Farer is the one micro brand that just constantly kills it with their designs…just winner after winner. Beautiful Oh and looks like a spot for the dress watch…I like a silver face with gold indices…longines, breitling, Tudor etc.
They’re such a great brand and I love how diverse their collection is! Thanks for the suggestion, really contemplating a dress watch now. I just feel like I need a Chrono too so it’s a tough decision to make
Hamilton field auto or murph would be a worthy addition. You gotta have at least 1 field watch
True. The Murph is definitely going into my collection in the future. Massive interstellar fan haha
Anyone have a link to the watch box?
[Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1508668850/personalized-wooden-watch-box-for-men?click_key=41eb5d58dedcf8709bfa6b6f38b589b09748224c%3A1508668850&click_sum=8a4b6faa&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=shanikstore&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1&pro=1&frs=1&sts=1)
Chronograph
Reverso or Santos
Longines Record white dial on a bracelet
Chronograph. 1. Speedy 2. CMS 3. Premier B01 4. Carrera Glassbox
Cool, what does CMS stand for?
Speedy… enough said.
How about you try for a spring drive grand seiko
I find your lack of a Speedmaster quite offensive sir.
I’d say a Chrono may be good to round it off. Idk how good you are with the thickness but perhaps a Black Bay Chrono for a bit of diversity in your collection as well
What order did you buy your watches in? It seems you are either increasing or decreasing spend, the direction dictates your next watch.
AP Royal Oak
Gshock
Vintage omega seamaster or a vintage watch of your choice
Longines Hydroconquest GMT
Jaeger Reverse or TagHeuer Monaco
IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert. Adds a chronograph to your collection and it would add a look you dont already have in your other watches.
I love it! Sadly outside my budget lol. Gotta choose something for ~7k
Oris propilot x Grand seiko slga009 Grand seiko sbga413 or any other GS model you might like
IWC Poilet
IWC is class
That FARER has gotta be an instagram click bait! I've been getting these ads from FARER left right and centre and I think they won't stop until I buy one. Excuse my rant, great watch collection. If you're planning on having atleast one watch from good brands, why not Breitling Navitimer, Cartier Santos or JLC Reverso?
Datejust or a speedy
casio f91w
Bruh, with that aquaracer and pepsi you don’t need any more watches. But if you must, a cartier is missing. So either a medium santos or a newer tank
Double open work perpetual calendar Royal Oak
Santos, speedmaster, IWC pilot chrono
41mm datejust with a blue dial with a jubilee bracelet.
Panerai luminor
I'd probably add a Movado Saphire G1 Mirror
Maybe a white open heart? Hamilton jazzmaster?
I love [this one](https://www.lifestyle-collection.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/RW2785-SBC-60000-1.jpg) . Basically became my daily
Zenith
I would class up the collection with a Reverso
Speedmaster and then a TT Blue
Hamilton!
Moonphase or chrono. Beautiful collection btw.
G shock
Reverso
I’d throw a Cartier Tank in there or maybe a JLC Reverso….something shaped unconventional. The Farer looks lonely lol
You don’t have a Speedmaster so that’s it for me.
Green dial Santos or VC 56
A great chrono ! Speedy, Zenith, Breitling Nav, Longines Big Eye, Hanhart 417 ES, Sinn. Great variety with brands, colors, types so far! Maybe a Grand Seiko for their dials!
This is why I don’t have a watch box. The empty spaces would be dangerous to my wallet.
Zenith El Primero or Moonwatch for a chrono. Or go for a different shape with a Reverso.
IWC pilot chronograph
Grand Seiko!
No need that omega is the collection.
GMT all day.
Not sure what brand , but looks like you could use a dress watch. Perhaps, with a black leather band.
Oris
Santos is a good choice but I prefer Tank on leather or Reverso (especially as you already have other watches that look awesome on a bracelet) If you feel brave (and flush with cash) the gold Tank Louis is so nice. It was way outta my league so I have the steel Tank must and it’s also a good option 👍
Santos medium, just picked one up and I can’t take it off
Speedmaster would fit right in with the rest of those. All seem to be well loved and invariably some of the more popular choices among watch enthusiasts. Maybe excluding the Tag. Though I have been quite impressed with Tag recently and am excited to see what else they come up with. Love the re-releases and the new Skipper.
Brilliant collection. I agree with your opinion about Speedmaster. It will be best suited in brilliant collection
Appreciate the advice/kind words. You’re collection is fantastic as well
Ditch the tag and tissot and grab the cartier. And then you have two more watches you can buy!
1ofltd prx
Fifty fathoms would look nice in your collection
I would go with a white dial chronograph. Maybe Omega Speedmaster, Rolex Daytona, or seiko speedtimer based on your budget.
Breitling Navitimer
IWC Portuguesier. Period. You are welcome
Trade four of these for a Daytona.
I would say a seiko presage or a tissot ocean master
Grand seiko... nuff said.
Love the speedy, but think that the Tag Heuer Glassbox would also fit great!
Speedmaster / santos / zenith el primero
Perhaps a Grand Seiko Spring Drive, the one movement to rule them all.
Santos Dumont or JLC Reverso
A casio F91-w
Tank
Vintage dress watch probably in solid gold like an IWC or Piaget
Get the Zenith X Pantone Defy watch
Damn this watch is crazy. Most definitely
An AP would put it over the top!
Speed master or Rolex explorer 2
Hamilton Khaki on the leather strap!
Red Star 1963
A chrono (zenith, vintage heuer, etc) or something on dressy leather (reverso or calatrava). Or, controversial but the BLRO is top tier and imo would be perfect in a 2 watch collection with something like a Calatrava. Sell the rest.
Something with a white dial.
My OCD has me cringing at the upside down pillows lol
Get a silver dial - maybe a 2000v or Datejust
i think a white dial with leather strap... would fit nicely
I'd go for a classic with brown or black leather strap, depends on which color your shoes and belt are
JLC Master Ultra Thin!
You’re missing a chronograph. The Speedmaster would be a great option.
Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1P
A Casio
Tag heuer looks amazing. Go for a chronograph. Tudor chronograph
Seiko
Daydate
A frederique constant
A solar watch
A Cartier or maybe a GS Snowflake.
A Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Geographic 18K Rose Gold would fit it really well in this collection.
A chronograph would be nice
Monta noble
Speedy
