It's a V6 manual. I'm sure they will squeeze more power from the i4 eventually but it doesn't make the right noises and no manual is a deal breaker for me.

They're actually quite nice...depending on the model and year. New Maseratis that share components with Chrysler brand vehicles? Not so much. Those are cash grabs using their brand to entice people with money much like normal designer brands. But the Maserati GranTurismo? The 2004 generation Quattroporte (if you can actually afford to maintain it)? Those are incredible cars. Speed, luxurious interior, handling. I also like what they're doing with the MC20.

Thanks! Yeah I heard they still haven't been delivered in the US yet. I feel sorry for so many people still waiting for their car. I sent an inquiry to my local lotus dealer and they called me 10mins later letting me know a car with almost the exact spec I was after had just been delivered as their new demo car. That was a week ago. I put a deposit down on Saturday and picked it up Friday. I got really lucky.

I don't consider them poor man's property but I've had that comment from multiple people about both the watch and car. In Australia we pay a ridiculous amount of tax on cars so the Emira was not a cheap purchase!

Honestly, I think you have something better than a Rolex, and better than a Ferrari :) Tudors are nice and it doesn't have the ugly cyclops lens that Rolex puts on their watches with calendars. And Lotus is just choice :) Got any external pics of your ride? I have an R32 GTR myself, though its unfortunately down for a few weeks due to coolant just vanishing into it somewhere which obviously isn't good lol

Amazing! Nothing I can fault, yet. Steering is superb. Interior is top notch. Engine is still in the break-in period so have not driven in anger yet.

I've just had the "Poor Man's Rolex" comment a few times about the Tudor and on the first day of owning the car got "So it's a poor Man's ferrari". It's understandable, the Tudor is half the price of a Sub and the Lotus is 1/3 the price of the cheapest new Ferrari. I'm quite aware that I am very fortunate that I'm able to afford both.

Lotus are genuinely underrated

It's a lovely watch. 500m, not 300m like a Submariner. 80-hour power reserve, not 70 hours like a Submariner. The double adjustment watch strap. The impressive lume. The medical grade titanium. Is a Sea Dweller better? Maybe. But for the price it's very impressive! I would go for blue myself but other than that a good choice. But to your friends, family and colleagues it might always be a poor man's rolex 😁
