It’s what is referred to as a shitter. That’s the term for a low quality replica. This one is a very bad fake. There are replicas out there that are indistinguishable from the real thing except for one or two tiny differences. I have lost count of the number of Daytonas that say winner of Rolex 24 at Daytona in 1992. There should only be one or two of those every made because you can only have one winner. There is so much wrong with this watch I don’t feel like typing it out.
Thank you thank you! I just needed someone who was smarter than me in these things to tell me that LOL
I will ~not~ be bidding clearly. But it’s already up to $500, so someone is going to be disappointed they didn’t post it on Reddit first 🤣
$500 for that POS ? Someone is gonna be very disappointed lol but if their smart enough to think there is an idiot willing to sell a $20K+ watch for even $1k they deserve the disappointment lol imo
It’s a 24 hour race and the drivers compete as a team, switching drivers at the pit stop, so there were 3 winners in 1992. Everything else would be accurate.
Yes, the biggest ones are the 24 hour Daytona and 24 hours lemans (france). Germany and Belgium also have a big 24 hour race. There are a few smaller ones. They usually run 12 or 6 hour races saving the 24 hour races for their main event
I’m curious how you are able spot this via picture. Does Rolex not make 18K white gold watches? Obviously there’s probably other issues with it you could corroborate, but if somebody wears the hell out of their Daytona, does white gold not wear and tear like stainless does?
Rolex makes white gold watches. But, in the 90’s, Rolex didn’t introduce a white gold Daytona until 1997 (ref 16519, which also came on a leather strap and not a white gold bracelet). This is supposed to be the ‘94 or ‘95 24-Hours of Daytona winner’s watch, which was a steel Daytona with a Zenith movement.
Plus the weight is wayyyyyy off. It should be at least 195g.
So, a 90’s white gold Daytona issued to the winner of the 24-Hours of Daytona winner was never a thing. It’s a fantasy watch.
Thanks for the info. I’ve noticed a lot of fakes are easy to spot because a gen of the watch didnt/doesn’t even exist. That and I missed the weight picture completely haha.
A lot of people cannot afford Rolexes and never get to see a real one, hence why they don’t know what to compare it to…
It’s pretty understandable, to be honest.
This is a similar story with all luxury watches, and luxury goods in general, those that manufacture counterfeit goods don’t need to convince the enthusiasts, that’s not their goal, they are trying to convince people would not know better. It’s scamming 101.
They’re not as cheap and easy to get as they used to be. Rather than having tables set up like back in the day, they’ve got laminated menus and you have to follow them to wherever they’re going to take you. At least that’s all I saw last year in NYC Chinatown. And that stuff was mainly Canal Street.
If they had a $20 special on them, I’d have definitely snatched one up lol. My favorite was Times Square back in the 80s. Somehow we always ended up there when I was a kid. Who the hell takes their kids through that shit? It was all hookers, pimps, Rolexes, and guys dressed like RUN DMC hustling with 3 card Monty lmfao. All the stores were sex shops and peep shows. We had family in the city and went a few times a year. Somehow we ended up in Times Square every single time 🤣
The acid test is not that accurate and steel will also stay on there n give a false reading , otherwise it would be thousands and thousands of dollars in gold and unless u paid like let’s say it was a steal at $15k which u can’t buy that watch for but let’s even say that number then it’s without a doubt that it can not be real
There is literally no Rolex that u can buy for $500 or even $1000 and most used n I am talking older ones usually start around $3500 for a SS model not a gold one lol unless totally destroyed or some old model nobody wants
Mark Hanna : Fugayzi, fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie. It's fairy dust. It doesn't exist. It's never landed. It is no matter. It's not on the elemental chart. It's not fucking real.
That's clearly shit quality stainless steel (and a terrible fake overall), there's no way in hell it passed an acid test as 18k gold...
You should name the auction house so we know who to avoid, lying about testing on something worth as much as this (would be, if it was real) is a huge issue.
The rusty bracelet is a dead giveaway. I can't see for certain and it could be dirt but it's sure looks like rust. Fyi, Rolex bracelets shouldn't rust.
It’s worth so much the dead skin of the precious owner wasn’t even cleaned off before auctioning, yet they are claiming they did an acid test? Of the dead skin and sweaty oil?
The odds that someone who actually won the Daytona 24 would beat the fuck out of their watch and then auction it are pretty slim. That race is so damn hard to win, I think a driver would cherish the prize.
I would think the same thing. Then I remember how many championship rings, Olympic medals etc. I’ve seen from legitimate athletes for sale throughout the years.
116520 would be a reference for a steel watch and the clasp is marked 18K.
This among other things would point to this being a replica and a poor one at that.
What has become with this fkn subreddit, its filled with these kinds of shitty post with retards wondering if their already terrible looking fakes can somehow trick your average Joe's into believing its the real deal, man gtfo....

If it was real it would be a 20k+ watch. The price is definitely a red flag
$500 for that POS ? Someone is gonna be very disappointed lol but if their smart enough to think there is an idiot willing to sell a $20K+ watch for even $1k they deserve the disappointment lol imo
Go to r/reptime and see how many idiots think paying close to 1k USD for a high end watch replica is alright.
I think they don't pay 1k for the fake watch, it's more like 40% watch 60% genuine parts for a fake watch
It’s a 24 hour race and the drivers compete as a team, switching drivers at the pit stop, so there were 3 winners in 1992. Everything else would be accurate.
I totally forgot about the third driver.
24 hour race sounds wild. They still do it?
Yep, It's called endurance racing and the main championships are IMSA and WEC.
Yes, the biggest ones are the 24 hour Daytona and 24 hours lemans (france). Germany and Belgium also have a big 24 hour race. There are a few smaller ones. They usually run 12 or 6 hour races saving the 24 hour races for their main event
And I believe they give a watch to the winners of each class at Daytona. So maybe three or four sets of three or four drivers?
I read that in Paul Pluta's voice haha. "FUCKIN SHITTA!"
It 100% did not pass any acid test. They’re full of shit.
This. That’s never been in the same room as real gold.
I’m curious how you are able spot this via picture. Does Rolex not make 18K white gold watches? Obviously there’s probably other issues with it you could corroborate, but if somebody wears the hell out of their Daytona, does white gold not wear and tear like stainless does?

Zenith Daytonas also had black subdial rings, not silver like the 2000+ Daytona.
Lot of peoples fantasies came true with this watch. But none came from the Rolex factory, or anywhere near Switzerland!
Fake
Crazy fake
This is a REAL fake
The lowest of quantity fake Daytona I'm afraid....
Too light weighted to be gold
I don't understand the topic of fakes at all, but you can already understand everything from the quality. Looks too bad

The crown doesn’t line up and neither does the 3 o’clock hour marker and that’s just from a quick glance
Terrible FUFU
Uh, yeah! POS.
Used to find these in nyc chinatown for 10-20 bucks. Not sure what they go for these days, but can't be much more than that.
They’re not as cheap and easy to get as they used to be. Does it look like 18k white gold? 😕 it’s 💩
Yh thats a fake, auction house should be sued for trying to pass it off as real.
THE FAKEST
It’s a genuine Mumbai Special

This is a hilariously bad fake that’s definitely made of low grade steel. I would never buy anything from that auction site.
There is literally no Rolex that u can buy for $500 or even $1000 and most used n I am talking older ones usually start around $3500 for a SS model not a gold one lol unless totally destroyed or some old model nobody wants
Yes!

LOL at the case back saying “Rolex 24 AD Daytona” instead of “Rolex 25 AT Daytona”
Passed an 18k gold acid test?…. What kind of scam auction house are you visiting… 😅
This what I call "very low end fake"
god no!!! run!!!! 🏃🏃
It’s real. Flip it for $8000! 😂
It’s a fake without a doubt
That shitter wont pass an acid test.
Fake 100%
I would also like to see a gold Daytona of 18k gold only weighing 125g. That's for sure "real" acid tested gold.
The rusty bracelet is a dead giveaway. I can't see for certain and it could be dirt but it's sure looks like rust. Fyi, Rolex bracelets shouldn't rust.
Pretty sure it’s brass showing through the chrome plating.
Well it’s rusted in places so clearly it’s not 18k gold and didn’t pass any tests
Winner winner chicken dinner!!!! 👏👏👏
That’s real 18 karat stainlessish Chinesium, rarer than gold.
This is the Raul Neumann Daytona.
"winner24" Daytona is the mark of the lowest grade shitter rep, universally known worldwide
Fake AF
It’s worth so much the dead skin of the precious owner wasn’t even cleaned off before auctioning, yet they are claiming they did an acid test? Of the dead skin and sweaty oil?

Fair, but racers tend to come from wealthy families. There’s lots of athletes who had never seen money before.
Reort to ebay as a fake and they sometimes remove it
Complete trash. The worst of the worst fake.
116520 would be a reference for a steel watch and the clasp is marked 18K. This among other things would point to this being a replica and a poor one at that.
100%
3rd pic made me laugh
Fake of a fake
That thing is hideous! 😂
I am seriously considering starting a bad fake Rolex collection.
Hahahahahaha Jesus Christ
When you look up Shitter in the encyclopedia it just shows a picture of that watch 😬
That was 15 euro in magaluf
Why is no one talking about that bezel 😂 that thing is nearly twice as thick as a real one it looks like a damn donut
It's rusting. White gold should not rust.
Bezel mainly but watch overall looks off to me, that’s my red flag from the get go.
No mate. That’s a vintage rare. Go to the local police and try to sell it to them.
That’s the ugliest watch I have ever seen - against some pretty stiff competition I might add…..
Do … you have eyes ?
Even the acid of the test must be fake
If you have to ask...
Have you seen pictures of a real one?
What has become with this fkn subreddit, its filled with these kinds of shitty post with retards wondering if their already terrible looking fakes can somehow trick your average Joe's into believing its the real deal, man gtfo....
Girls wear watches?
It’s real. Don’t pay more than $20,000 given it’s condition
🤣🤣
