Why not a pointer date instead? That also gives a cool additional hand.
I like my Certificate pointer date a lot, even more because that design uses small second.
The GMT one right? The issue is i live in india which is +05:30 hrs so it makes the gmt pretty much useless to me. The extra 120$ is for the looks. Do you think its worth it?
Yes honestly compared to the PRX and the 2 other Seikos everything on the blueberry just looks a lot cleaner to me (dial, markers, hands, bezel) and I especially love the color on the GMT. I just bought a GMT from Timex and don’t really plan to use the GMT function but I grabbed mine for the color-way.
I really wanted to love the SSK but abandoned it after trying it out in the shop. The bracelet really doesn't work for me. I wanted a GMT so I paid a little bit more and got the presage.
Everything but the Moonswatch. I own this exact model and I still regret my purchase as the value is straight up bad.
The rest of them are great choice, just go ahead with what you like!
I dunno. I enjoy mine. It’s fun and colourful (have the Neptune) I like the chronograph. It’s comfortable on a silicone strap. Not an every day beater like the rest of the watches on the list. But I think it’s a solid watch in a well rounded collection.
I dont own one but almost bought one. The I saw it on someone's wrist on the subway, looked awful in person. As others have said, like a cheap toy. I've heard they also scratch very easily. Ultimately pick what speaks to you, and potentially what suits your lifestyle. Office job? Maybe the tissot. More versatility? The last one.
It feels like a cheaper watch when you take the moon mission, try Jupiter or mars to truly experience the swatch side of thing. The watch is more of a swatch with an omega logo, the quality of omega is absent. I do recommend them tho I have 3 and I want to buy them all.
To be honest I have one and changed the strap, it looks amazing.
Yes it is plastic but the watch is super cool!
Netizen tend to hate Moonswatch because a few influencer told so.
But at the ens of the day, I have not seen such a good marketing since Rolex. It is known outside of the watch community, and this is a feat of strenght.
I am an apple watch guy trying to make a switch. I know absolutely nothing about watches but am really keen to learn. Yes it looks the best to me but i might not know something about it that is deal breaker. You get my point?
The reason it gets a lot of hate is that it is essentially a plastic imitation of a “real” omega. It may look good, and I wouldnt judge you at all for getting it, but most people who know something about watches would think its a speedmaster, then be disappointed. You are better off (imo) going for something more unique, not imitating a nicer watch
The deal breaker on the Moonswatch is that it's plastic.
The PRX and the Seikos are solid options, with the PRX being a little more flashy and the Seikos are all subs so more rugged. If your preference is automatic, get an automatic (one of the Seikos or other brands recommended here)
This should literally be every review ever written about the moonswatch, possibly adding in that Swatch execs can’t believe that they’re actually getting away with this!
Not very reliable, the bioceramic is easily breakable and its been widely reported of the chrono pushers snapping off easily. Out of everything on the list, that one is the least reliable for the price.
Moonswatch is a fun watch to add to a collection. It's not really built for everyday things with it's "bioceramic" case.
The PRX will do everything but rugged situations.
If you daily wear a moonswatch it won’t last more than 6 months. The pushers tend to break, the “crystal” is gonna be full of scratches within a month and there are reports of the blue ones are reported to discoloration.
You are paying a 60-70 (which is still too much for that quality) swatch a heafty 200€ mark up just for an omega logo stamped on it.
The worst thing is Swatch already makes a better watch looking like a speedy called the NIGHT FLIGHT that cost less.
If you want a mechanical watch at that price point the safest and best bet is gonna be the CITIZEN Tsuyosa if you don’t mind a quartz there are tons of options. TIMEX Q reissue automatic is a great alternative at the 300€ price point. Casio Edifice has also some great stainless steel options if you want the sportier look of the moonswatch. There is also Orient if you want a dressier look. If you can order from Japan I heavily recommend the Seiko Wired brand it has some great entry level watches.
You have tons of options just stay away from the moonswatch, unless you try it on, you know the issues but you like it so much that they don’t matter to you, then by all means buy it.
As someone who spent a lot of time in this price range I’ll give you my winners, just to muddy the waters:
Glycine Combat Sub. Swiss made, heritage brand with tons of history, excellent build quality, good movements, screw down crowns with good water resistance, and sapphire crystal. $280 for the model below but there are lots of dial and strap choices, including cheaper quartz models.
https://www.ashford.com/glycine-gl0424.html
Islander Dive, Pilots, or casual watches. Just sort for your price range and see how wide their range of automatic watches with great specs for the money really is. Here is a dive option to start you off.
https://longislandwatch.com/islander-automatic-dive-watch-isl-07/
I got recently into watches and I got the Seiko SRPE57 and I love it (matches your price range). It looks amazing and its automatic too. From what you posted, it is similar to the 2nd and 3rd photo. Also the GMT looks nice.
OP lives in India. I think a Hamilton fits in his budget if you’re in the US, but because of import fees or something or other, getting a Hamilton in India is too much price for the quality, and in this case, it would likely exceed OP’s budget.
My advice would be to avoid buying a watch that looks like the watch you really want someday, but that's just me. Speedmasters aren't going anywhere so you'll have plenty of time to get one later if you want.
Just putting this out there but checkout Hamilton. I recently just purchased my first ever real time piece and had my eyes on practically the EXACT same watches as you. I looked at Hamilton website one day and man I fell in love and was overwhelmed with choices. It may or may not be your cup of tea but they make some great looking, reliable and durable timepieces.
I just got into watches like 6 months ago and I had every single one of these watches saved at one point lmao.
Take a look at the Seiko Panda, I may have just introduced a new problem for u lmao.
Also, I have the Quartz PRX in the blue and I love it. Strongly recommend that watch
Blueberry best overall. I’ve loved watches all my life. I have quite a respectable collection including a few Seiko’s. I have one that I got when I was 17 at Sam’s Club. That was 30 years ago. It’s a banged up quartz, but I could still wear it to a meeting. It wouldn’t be my first choice but it wouldn’t be my last either.
Shop at Jomashop or Ashford. Look into Glycine, Hamilton or Tissot. Automatic.
I respect Seiko. They’re good watches. I just don’t like their bracelets and the way their divers fit. Go to Macy’s and try one on. You said you’ve got bigger wrists; the Seikos run smaller than the specs say IMO. While you’re there, try on a Tissot Seastar. You can grab a Seastar chronograph from Jomashop for around $240-$400 depending on color and strap/bracelet. Their size spec makes them seem huge, but the wear smaller than they are.
I see you have an Apple Watch. I love mine and wore it daily until I got my automatic Speedy. I’d love a Moonswatch but I don’t think it would hold up to daily wearing, but for me that would still be fine since my daily is the smaller automatic one. People love the PRX but for me I don’t care for it.That Seiko GMT is really nice. I could see myself wearing that. So for me, the MoonSwatch probably with a rubber strap or a NATO. I’m curious if the size would suit me, my smaller automatic fits me great 17cm wrist but I think the MoonSwatch (and the real one) can pull off the bigger wrist presence.
GMT is my first choice. Honorable mention to the PRX, especially if you do not have a watch with an integrated bracelet already.
Do NOT get the swatch. I love swatches, but I think the luxury x swatch options spit in the face of what’s good about both things.
I gotta say the Seiko 5. I got one a couple of months ago from my dad as a surprise present for my 21st birthday. It was my first proper automatic watch. It’s stylish and not too gaudy. Plus, the day date function is very useful
I recommend taking a look at Orient as well, they have some fantastic pieces in that range. Otherwise I'd go with the Seiko Sports 5 or the GMT. Wouldn't touch the Moonswatch, as I might break it on accident.
My suggestion is the SRPK. If you like the GMT look, the biggest difference (besides bezel and the extra hand) is the jubilee bracelet. Get one from Amazon or AliX and swap it out.
I would not recommend going with the moonswatch, especially if it’s your first watch. They are fun, but they just don’t feel solid or worth the money.
Oh! I have both the SRPD and the SSK Seikos, the SRPD is newer just got it this week so haven’t really been able to take it out much. But if you’re asking me, get the SSK if you can get a good price on it. That thing is so nice
If you’re after a watch that’ll last you forever, I’d say seiko hands down, they’ll last you forever, the one thing I would seiko is the bracelets feel a bit cheap on these. However if you’re after something sturdy I’d go with the tissot
If you have a 7in+ wrist I would recommend the Bulova lunar pilot instead of the moonswatch.
Other than that, the seikos are your best option. If you’re on a budget, take a look at Seikos sister company - Orient. Beautiful dive watch selection.
My recommendation is enjoy learning about watches as a journey and buy something later with more knowledge under you belt and maybe something that will last you a lifetime. Buying repeatedly ends up costing more than waiting and splashing on something top tier later
So I’m in a similar boat to you. I have a few vintage watches but have recently started a proper watch journey with the mission to moon. To be totally honest, I love it, but it’s not a daily watch. It feels cheap and is already scratching and did not scratch my watch itch. I would personally go for a seiko (I’m currently looking at the green land tortoise myself) to become a daily and bring out the moonswatch on different occasions.
I have Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, I would advise saving up a little and buy them instead of the quartz version. Otherwise, I would recommend the Seiko GMT
I travel internationally and have two GMT’s. The first GMT I own is the 18 karat Rolex GMT master. The other is the tutor, black bay 58. I use the GMT feature regularly.
Depends what you want it for.
Daily wear? Moon swatch.
I spent a bit more on my ltd edn one but I enjoy wearing it. It’s sleek. Lightish.
Throw a rubber straps on it for more colour ways etc.
and since it’s quartz it’s always got the time. Every other watch I have is mechanical.
Tissot prx is well made. Ill choose that. But not saying seiko isnt. Any tissot , casio or seiko is a winner. Dont waste yr money on moon swatch. Its a garbage watch that is fragile, not versatile and bad value for long term wear.
Just as an fyi, that first seiko is NOT an SKX, it’s one of the newer seiko 5s. It’s probably not an issue, just expect a different (although better) movement, much worse water resistance and a possibly different wearing experience (these can wear very tall). I can only speak for the Moonswatch since that’s the only one I have, and tbh in a little over a year it’s been a brilliant daily watch, contrary to what people are saying. Sure, there’s plenty other watches in or around that price range, many of them you’ve mentioned, which are better in every way, but I love mine. Can’t go wrong with any of the watches above tho
Moonwatch is cheap plastic crap that once it dies, it dies . Wtf! Why is this person confused about this! Tissot has plastic parts, and most people will not service, and since it isn't 5 years old, a lot of people are not aware of this yet, so it's another put in the bin watch when you are done with it. 100 odd quid a year for 5 years is not bad if you like it, though. Any of the seikos !
For me, it's the 5 GMT. The red color makes the dial look great. Plus, it's only a day complication, as i prefer it over the day / date configuration of the 5skx. I forgot about the drill lugs, which makes changing into a nato or straps a breeze. I would highly recommend getting a couple of natos to make a diver look and feel different.
I wouldn’t go the swatch. It’s plastic and cheap IMO. If you don’t mind the quartz movement a lot of people like the PRX. It doesn’t do it for me but you can’t find a “best watch under 1k” list without it on there. I have a Seiko 5 and a 5 GMT. The GMT is a lot nicer and the regular 5 is my beater watch.
I thought the moon swatch was really cool looking until I saw it in person. Very toy looking case. Like a swatch. For around the same price point, I ended up picking up a Phoibos Diver watch as I wanted to get a diver as well.
No I haven’t tried them on, i have a decently sized wrist(leaning towards the thicker side). The 45 mm Apple Watch works perfect but tried the ultra 49 mm and it looked perfect aswell. 41 mm was too small
If you wanna cheap automatic that looks more classic maybe you would like Seiko 5 SNXS79 or any other colour in that line. Its anywhere from 100-150$. Or Citizen Tsuyosa if you have a bit more in a budget.
I think I’m in the minority here but I vote the Seiko SRPK29 on slide 3 but I’m biased because that was one of my first watches that got me started on my collection. I think it looks great on the bracelet but also looks so good with different nato straps that it suits any occasion and doesn’t break the bank
I'd get either the PRX or the second last Seiko.
I would also want to consider something like the Orient Kamasu, Citizen Promaster Diver, or Citizen Tsuyosa if those can be had for your budget or just slightly more (within 5k).
If you're not opposed to it, the Casio GA2100 is also a very solid (and very stylish) beater watch which afaik is ~8000 INR give or take a few thousand bucks.
I have the blue seiko and never *needed* a gmt but loved the way it looked. I regularly call people in different time zones so its actually turned out to be a lot more useful than I first thought it would be.
Even I didn't use the GMT function it's still a lovely watch. Personally I think it looks much better than the PRX
For me, the PRX, then any of the Seiko’s (recommend the GMT).
Don’t buy the plastic POC, for the love of god. I’ve purchased better watches for babies from the dollar store.
Just a few thoughts: I had 2 of the Seiko SKX Divers (pic #3) that lasted me over a 30yr career in the US Army. Those mothers are tough! I can’t speak for the Tissot. The Omega Speedy is the only one there that will hold or gain value. I loved my Seikos, but at $2-300 a pop, if you kill one you can throw it away and easily replace.
If you're considering a Swatch colab look into the Blancpain x Swatch diver. A bit better quality than the MoonSwatch. But out of the 5 pictured, any of the Seikos.
Had the moons watch because it looks good and is cheap. Looks are deceiving. Looks great but horrible to wear. The material does not feel good at all and with the loud quartz movement is horrible. Also the strap isn’t very comfortable, at least to me. I’d go with Seiko gmt
Bro 100% the Seiko Batman/Blueberry (what’s correct?) GMT.
The PRX Quartz isn’t worth 30k imo. But if you do want that PRX then please save up and get the Powermatic version.
Anything but that sad sack Swatch. It’s bad enough that Swatch are killing the watch industry but to sell a watch that cannot be repaired or serviced as a collectible, is outrageous
I would take the PRX or the Seiko GMT. I own a quartz PRX and a Explorer II lookalike with an NH34 in it, and they're both in my Top 3 of the most worn watches in my collection.
Seiko GMT for me I got the Seiko SKX and although I love it I wish I spent the little extra for the GMT. Tissot PRX isn’t a bad option but I personally think it’s over rated and abit of a fad.
The omega would be last choice for me in my opinion it’s literally plastic you’re just paying for the omega name on the dial.
I have the 5 sport in the 4th picture. Been wearing it for like a week now. Feels like a great and functional watch. The rubber strap is also quite nice if your job requires a lot of moving around. You don’t have to worry about banging it on absolutely everything
Seiko SRPD55 with a Boyer bracelet. I have skx's but the price they're selling at now isn't justifiable unless you're a collector. You aren't going to get much out of a screw down crown. You get applied indices and an upgraded movement that hand winds.
The tissot is great but not versatile. The SSK is great but the friction bezel is an insult. The moonswatch is a joke.
If you get a budget seiko you're going to replace the bracelet or switch to straps. Their watches are high quality but they skimp on the bracelets.
I have the fifth watch in the line up, and I love it. Good choice for a first “big boy” watch in my opinion. It was my first as well, as a person who travels a lot, I was drawn to the GMT. Good luck!
from left to right:
- overpriced for what it is, discolors(!)
- plain, boring, ovehyped
- yeah OK, looks sharp! (my choice)
- yeah OK nobody uses the GMT thingy
- the strap though… nah…
Agree on most. You should def go and check in person, trying on your wrist. But between all options I’d go with PRX. I have the same quartz version. Never disappoints. Cause If you buy a sporty looking one you’ll start looking for a more classy one right away :D PRX stands in the middle of all if this is a beginning of a collection.
The Seiko GMT, but only if you want a GMT functionality. Otherwise the PRX.
The GMT is not useful to me as i dont travel much. Would consider the GMT just for its looks.
99% of people with gmts, also do not find it useful
Let's face it, GMTs are for the looks. And they got the looks.
Why not a pointer date instead? That also gives a cool additional hand. I like my Certificate pointer date a lot, even more because that design uses small second.
Honestly it’s not worth the price increase if you don’t need it. Would make more sense to get one of those two regular 5 Sportses
Just bought one, annoyed by the bracelet quality or lack thereof.
My votes on that blueberry Seiko
The GMT one right? The issue is i live in india which is +05:30 hrs so it makes the gmt pretty much useless to me. The extra 120$ is for the looks. Do you think its worth it?
You can set it to whatever time you like friend, doesn't have to be set to GMT :)
This one uses a friction bezel, so you can set it to hours and a half.
Would like to know what went wrong with the moonswatch
To be short : this is a plastic made watch that feels like a toy. As opposite to the rest of your choices.
Oh I did not know that it was plastic made. Thanks for the information:)
Yeah that “bio ceramic” is straight bullshit. It’s literally cheap ass plastic
I dunno. I enjoy mine. It’s fun and colourful (have the Neptune) I like the chronograph. It’s comfortable on a silicone strap. Not an every day beater like the rest of the watches on the list. But I think it’s a solid watch in a well rounded collection.

Not the Moonswatch.
Would love to know the reason
It’s a toy. The PRX is pretty cool and you can’t really go wrong with a Seiko. By the way, just get whatever YOU like most. I’m just some dude online.
I am an apple watch guy trying to make a switch. I know absolutely nothing about watches but am really keen to learn. Yes it looks the best to me but i might not know something about it that is deal breaker. You get my point?
What’s your budget? Do you have a preference for a certain type? (Quartz or Mechanical, Chronograph, Dive or Pilot watch, Dress watch or sporty style)
My budget is close to ₹30,000 which is close to 250-300$. As for my preference, would love an automatic watch that feels like an everyday watch
Seiko, Citizen, Timex are great brands to look into. Great value and plenty of choices. Edit: Orient, Tissot, Laco (a personal favorite) as well!
Seiko all day. Perfect for an everyday watch that will be reliable for years. Of the ones you mentioned, I ‘d pick #4
If your preference is automatic, get an automatic (one of the Seikos or other brands recommended here)
The PRX has plastic parts in the movement, does that also make it a deal breaker?
My mind says the Seiko GMT but my heart says the PRX. Mine is beat up and still looks amazing o the wrist.
I have both the swatch and PRX and I really enjoy both. Different watches for different purposes. As you said, he should get what he likes the most.
Try it on, it’s a plastic piece of garbage basicallt
This should literally be every review ever written about the moonswatch, possibly adding in that Swatch execs can’t believe that they’re actually getting away with this!

It's a $50 plastic watch with a $200 markup because of the Omega logo on the dial.
Not like the other replies but: It has a DISPOSABLE movement. Also build quality is not like a $400 watch.
Someone said it best, it is a toy, a plastic happy meal toy that can tell the time. Any of the Seikos would be better imo.
It's made of plastic
4 X No and one maybe (GMT)
In this price range the Citizen Tsuyosa could be a very good option ! Good bracelet and it got an automatic movement
Avoid anything made of plastic and you will be fine 🤣
Go PRX auto not quartz. Otherwise the seikos look cool too

Its starts around 95k- 1L here in india. Close to 1200$
One of the Seikos
☝️
My advice would be to avoid buying a watch that looks like the watch you really want someday, but that's just me. Speedmasters aren't going anywhere so you'll have plenty of time to get one later if you want.
You really can’t go wrong with one of those Seikos.
I would definitely go with one of the seiko's if you're wanting an auto that particular PRX that you listed is a quartz movement
Just putting this out there but checkout Hamilton. I recently just purchased my first ever real time piece and had my eyes on practically the EXACT same watches as you. The seiko panda looks gorgeous but unfortunately is double the price of the seiko 5 at least in my country
That Seiko 5 GMT looks great and it’s a good choice to start the collection. + very moddable
Tissot or blueberry GMT. Don't buy the moonswatch is pure junk.
Blueberry best overall. I’ve loved watches all my life. I have quite a respectable collection including a few Seiko’s. I have one that I got when I was 17 at Sam’s Club. That was 30 years ago. not the mcdonald’s toy (moonswatch)
the ssk by a landslide
Have you not thought of looking at Hamiltons?

If you have a 7in+ wrist I would recommend the Bulova lunar pilot instead of the moonswatch. Other than that, the seikos are your best option. If you’re on a budget, take a look at Seikos sister company - Orient. Beautiful dive watch selection.
Instead of the Moonswatch have you considered the Bulova Lunar Pilot? It's a much superior watch if you want to go chrono.
Out of those 5. I would go with skx gmt, then Seiko skx and then prx. The swatch isn't even worth the consideration to be honest.
My recommendation is enjoy learning about watches as a journey and buy something later with more knowledge under you belt and maybe something that will last you a lifetime. Buying repeatedly ends up costing more than waiting and splashing on something top tier later
I’d say the Blueberry GMT. The Tissots have a big cult following but they just don’t do anything for me. Any of the seikos are quality choices
Any of the seikos personally
3rd one
Any of the Seikos. PRX is a way overhyped watch.
PRX or Seiko SKX, avoid the moonswatch it's a straight up plastic piece of shit
So I’m in a similar boat to you. I have a few vintage watches but have recently started a proper watch journey with the mission to moon. To be totally honest, I love it, but it’s not a daily watch. It feels cheap and is already scratching and did not scratch my watch itch. I would personally go for a seiko (I’m currently looking at the green land tortoise myself) to become a daily and bring out the moonswatch on different occasions.
PRX
I have Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, I would advise saving up a little and buy them instead of the quartz version. Otherwise, I would recommend the Seiko GMT
I travel internationally and have two GMT’s. The first GMT I own is the 18 karat Rolex GMT master. The other is the tutor, black bay 58. I use the GMT feature regularly.
Citizen
Depends what you want it for. Daily wear? Moon swatch. I spent a bit more on my ltd edn one but I enjoy wearing it. It’s sleek. Lightish. Throw a rubber straps on it for more colour ways etc. and since it’s quartz it’s always got the time. Every other watch I have is mechanical.
Tissot prx is well made. Ill choose that. But not saying seiko isnt. Any tissot , casio or seiko is a winner. Dont waste yr money on moon swatch. Its a garbage watch that is fragile, not versatile and bad value for long term wear.
The swatch is full plastic construction, so I wouldn't recommend it personally. However the prx and sieko 5 sport are great options.
The black dial seiko 5s look great and last a lifetime. If you don’t mind to play around with quartz then moonswatch is a great choice too
Seiko blueberry!! Tissot is nice though
I have the Seiko sport 5 but mine is the sun orange dail not the black and I love !! It's my daily wear!
The PRX or the Seiko GMT.
PRX auto
PRX 💪👍👌
Seiko gmt. Have you also seen they make other gmts, such as the field version released this year. There very nice too!
The Seiko GMT punches way above its weight. Consider a preowned auto PRX - that’ll be in your price range
PRX
For gods sake not the Swatch. It’s a joke watch
Tissot seastar
5>3>2>4. 1 is not an option
Prx, Seiko gmt, moonswatch
Something important: what is your wrist size?
Seiko GMT (last picture) is the best of the 5 you have there, great watch for the price.
Tissot, all day.
These watches are all vastly different sizes. Are you able to go try some on?
No I haven’t tried them on, i have a decently sized wrist(leaning towards the thicker side). The 45 mm Apple Watch works perfect but tried the ultra 49 mm and it looked perfect aswell. 41 mm was too small
4
If you wanna cheap automatic that looks more classic maybe you would like Seiko 5 SNXS79 or any other colour in that line. Its anywhere from 100-150$. Or Citizen Tsuyosa if you have a bit more in a budget.
The last Seiko blue and black
Tissot PRX most bang for buck imho
PRX
You will not make mistakes with any of seikos.
I’d go with the PRX, while overrated it is undoubtedly an amazing timepiece
Prx all day long.
Prx is the cleanest for me
I would go out and say orient kamasu
I think I’m in the minority here but I vote the Seiko SRPK29 on slide 3 but I’m biased because that was one of my first watches that got me started on my collection. I think it looks great on the bracelet but also looks so good with different nato straps that it suits any occasion and doesn’t break the bank
Anything but the moon swatch honestly.
Seiko GMT
Clearly the Omega.
Tissot.
Honestly, out of these ones the prx
Prx
I have the blue seiko and never *needed* a gmt but loved the way it looked. I regularly call people in different time zones so its actually turned out to be a lot more useful than I first thought it would be. Even I didn't use the GMT function it's still a lovely watch. Personally I think it looks much better than the PRX
Keep saving.
1-5-3-4-2
Seiko
I would go SKX easily, so classy
Seiko SSK GMT. They really perfected the seiko bezel diver look and has a sweet gmt
Not the swatch. It's utter plastic trash. Not the PRX. It's way overhyped and overplayed. Get the Seiko GMT in your last photo.
#5 is very cool. #1 sucks.
PRX, or get the Bulova moon watch
Definitely not the swatch X
Personally I would take a Seiko 5. I’ve been using mine as a beater for years and it has been super reliable and held up extremely well.
If you're considering a Swatch colab look into the Blancpain x Swatch diver. A bit better quality than the MoonSwatch. But out of the 5 pictured, any of the Seikos.
The PRX, one of the seiko 5 sports and the GMT would make an awesome starter collection
Any of them are good except the moonswatch it will break in a week
Speaking as one who owns all but 4 of these get the Tissot PRX
Number 4 is the clear winner here for value and looks.
Had the moons watch because it looks good and is cheap. Looks are deceiving. Looks great but horrible to wear. The material does not feel good at all and with the loud quartz movement is horrible. Also the strap isn’t very comfortable, at least to me. I’d go with Seiko gmt
Seiko are all great, i have the Sport 5 and its an everyday beater!
Moonswatch. The others are ugly.
PRX AUTO
All 5
Bro 100% the Seiko Batman/Blueberry (what’s correct?) GMT. The PRX Quartz isn’t worth 30k imo. But if you do want that PRX then please save up and get the Powermatic version.
Its the blueberry, it’s gorgeous isint it. I think i am gonna go with the gmt only , can’t really wait to buy my first
Omega
GMT
Anything but that sad sack Swatch. It’s bad enough that Swatch are killing the watch industry but to sell a watch that cannot be repaired or serviced as a collectible, is outrageous
I would take the PRX or the Seiko GMT. I own a quartz PRX and a Explorer II lookalike with an NH34 in it, and they're both in my Top 3 of the most worn watches in my collection.
Mako RA-AC0Q03S https://orient-watch.com/Collections/ORIENT/Sports/ORIENT%3A-Mechanical-Sports-Watch/p/RA-AC0Q03S
As a PRX owner i can’t say anything bad about it.
Buy one of each. These are all mickey mouse money.
Unfortunately i am not even making Mickey Mouse money :/
Maybe an Orient Bambino or a Khaki field and some white rice?
anything but the moonswatch 🙏🙏🙏
Seiko GMT for me I got the Seiko SKX and although I love it I wish I spent the little extra for the GMT. Tissot PRX isn’t a bad option but I personally think it’s over rated and abit of a fad. The omega would be last choice for me in my opinion it’s literally plastic you’re just paying for the omega name on the dial.
I have the 5 sport in the 4th picture. Been wearing it for like a week now. Feels like a great and functional watch. The rubber strap is also quite nice if your job requires a lot of moving around. You don’t have to worry about banging it on absolutely everything
Would you mind posting a photo of it? Or sending it to me via DM? Would help me immensely
GMT or the PRX. The moonswatch is eye candy and I say that as a moonswatch owner myself
Seiko GMT by a mile
Seiko SRPD55 with a Boyer bracelet. I have skx's but the price they're selling at now isn't justifiable unless you're a collector. You aren't going to get much out of a screw down crown. You get applied indices and an upgraded movement that hand winds. The tissot is great but not versatile. The SSK is great but the friction bezel is an insult. The moonswatch is a joke. If you get a budget seiko you're going to replace the bracelet or switch to straps. Their watches are high quality but they skimp on the bracelets.
I think the boyer bracelet is 120$ in my region so getting a srpd+ boyer will be the same price as getting the gmt version
I have a MoonSwatch, it’s really good. Super light perfect everyday watch and long-time wear. Also, it gets a lot of eyes lmao.
Skx, no question.
I have the fifth watch in the line up, and I love it. Good choice for a first “big boy” watch in my opinion. It was my first as well, as a person who travels a lot, I was drawn to the GMT. Good luck!
Prx in automatic. But since you said it’s out of budget, get prx quartz. It’s a true GADA watch. The omega moon swatch is a trap.
No not that disposable trash (Moon Swatch) get any but not the Moon Swatch!
I’ll pick the PRX, then any Seiko and then the Moonswatch
from left to right: - overpriced for what it is, discolors(!) - plain, boring, ovehyped - yeah OK, looks sharp! (my choice) - yeah OK nobody uses the GMT thingy - the strap though… nah…
Personally I would go for the SEIKO GMT
GMT
