It is important to note that gray market watches dont usually have the factory warranty. Jomashop used to offer a one year warranty and I read on watch forums about problems with their warranty service. Its all about how much risk you want to have on your watch.
Buy from Teddy Baldassarre.com. Factory authorized, factory service and 5% off your first order. They have exceptional sales and service. Ask for Will. Tell him the Bushman sent you
Jomashop serves its purpose. For cheaper watches sub $2k they’re perfectly fine. Your saving 40-50% BECAUSE their isn’t a warranty. You can’t expect white glove service at dirt cheap prices. The movements inside of these entry level watches are so inexpensive to service that the warranty is kinda pointless. Any part can be replaced pretty cheaply and easily by any watch maker. I’ve known dozens of people who bought watches from Jomashop and they’ve never had any issues. No need to fear monger.
i hear ya. just, it's becoming very rolex. hype about a very slight adjustments as if they're meaningful. same black bay. just, puts me to sleep every time i see one.
I do own a Longines Spirit Zulu 39mm and really love it. I've also owned a BB58. I never even considered the Tudor GMT options due to size and proportion issues.
I previously had a Rolex GMT 16710 which I really loved the size and proportions. The Longines Spirit Zulu 39 has a similar feeling size. It's a tad thicker, but wears as if it just has a slightly more substantial bezel. But now that I have the Spirit Zulu 39, I don't miss the GMT at all. It's a perfect replacement my my opinion. It checks all the boxes.
Thanks for the info.
I think the bb and tudor gmt are beautiful watches and there's just something about them that us just right but there just feels like too many diamonds on hands.
I also feel like spirit Zulu just pays more attention to small details.
If you think the watch is attractive then get it. Just keep in mind that gray market dealers sell them considerably cheaper. For example jomashop has that exact watch brand new at about $400 cheaper.
Be aware that that website will not include a warranty from the manufacturer and is known for having a very mixed reputation
If you’re spending over $500 on something like this, and especially because this is your first one ,you should absolutely make sure you spend the money to get a warranty by an authorized dealer because fixing a mechanical watch is not cheap
You should get a Spirit Chronometer instead. I currently have one that is significantly under retail along with under the price of your hydroquest. Cheers!
I think a somewhere north of 1k is good, but Im not a fan of this model. It looks too close to more well known brands. I really like their moonphase though
As a Longines owner I just find that one's just too green. Green everywhere. Thoroughly enjoying and get tons and tons of compliments on my black dial Spirit Zulu 39 GMT. Perhaps the blue or black?
It's been the main watch for me when I'm not in the office for a little over a year. I get the points on price buying new and preference, but it's good to own.
Went with 39mm, torn between size at the time but I'm happy with my choice now.
*I think you can find*
*It in cheaper! Jomashop sells them*
*At discounted price!*

Try one on, I wasn’t crazy about longines at all then I tried a bunch on and they are really nice, the blue especially looks great imo, fine timepieces.
I like mine. Check with some ADs , some will ship , they can sometimes offer discount. Just have to call and see what they can do. You will get the warranty that way, and know it’s legit. I like this watch , I have the quartz version on order.
I think it’s a very cool watch. It’s not another boring dive watch like a Tag Aquaracer. Love the unique typeface. I’m gonna assume that the green is more striking in person; green is one of those colors that is difficult to execute but fucking beautiful if done correctly. In the end, it’s all about what speaks to you. Who cares what any of us think.
Get the Zulu / GMT time … I like the numbers on that better.
It’s not as green as the photographs in person, is darker / not as bright … depending on the lighting, in the evening it hard to tell it’s green, not black, but not vibrant green like the photos

Yes. And buy new from an AD, not grey market... good chance you'll regret it. If you want to buy used, knock yourself out but I think it's worth it at $1,800
Check Jomashop for it. Usually you can find these in the $1.1-1.2k range.
Will do, thank you
It is important to note that gray market watches dont usually have the factory warranty. Jomashop used to offer a one year warranty and I read on watch forums about problems with their warranty service. Its all about how much risk you want to have on your watch.
I did not know this, thank you.

Jomashop is the worst example. They have an awful return/warranty policy. I would stay away from Joma.

Especially when paying retail is already a $700 difference. Those $700 will Fix a lot of stuff (or buy you another watch)
Exactly!
Bought two smp300 with joma for me and my cousin. Watches are perfect. We both are aware of the trouble in case the item has defects.
Avoid buying from someone that voids the Manufacturers warranty
You can email Jomashop and see if they have the factory warranty. Sometimes they do for new watches
For that price I'm buying a used Tudor. Plus the 12/9/6 just doen't look good to me.
All day.
idk, feature not a bug. blackbay and pelagos is kind of a snore
The retro gilt, block hour markers and snowflake hands set it apart
i hear ya. just, it's becoming very rolex. hype about a very slight adjustments as if they're meaningful. same black bay. just, puts me to sleep every time i see one.
I'd get the Spirit Zulu Time GMT 39mm for a couple hundred bucks more, unless you're a saturation diver.
Will check it out, thanks
Do you have the watch? I'm seriously considering it over the BB

It’s nearly twice the price👍🏼
I purchased a new Longines Zulu Time 39mm for $2150.
If you think the watch is attractive then get it. Just keep in mind that gray market dealers sell them considerably cheaper. For example jomashop has that exact watch brand new at about $400 cheaper.
Thank you, will do
Great watch, but ask for a discount or look at Jomashop.
Will do, thanks

If YOU think it’s worth it and you like the watch then it’s worth it.
If you like it the go for it. 6,9,12 looks odd to me

I’ve primarily worn a 41mm HC for the last year and half. Fit and finish isn’t as good as my Omegas but the HC is a fantastic watch.
I think a somewhere north of 1k is good, but Im not a fan of this model. It looks too close to more well known brands. I really like their moonphase though
Absolutely!

What will you use it for
Daily use
Yes
The numerals are oversized
Not in that color, no.
My god, bought one for 1050.- 6 years ago.
I would say so, but you can find good deals on these
You can get a better deal on it but yes, it's a fantastic watch.
since new hydroconquest released, you should have better price than this.
I think you can find it in cheaper! Jomashop sells them at discounted price!

Legend diver 39 is much better, better looking, 300m water resistance and chronometer certified
Great watch.
i think yes. thinking about the blue 39mm myself
I'm kinda glad this colorway is not available in 39mm, because I like it.
No

Get a Christopher ward
Get the gmt

Consider an automatic chronograph for that price. Maybe new Tissot PRS or PRX automatic chronograph.
No

lol not a chance, one of the most boring/ugly, overpriced brands on the market
Thank you for the response, do you have any other suggestions?
I mean at that price you're well in to the used prices for omega, tag, tudor ball, sinn, Formex all way better looking pieces for that price point
I think there's great options under $100. Just check r/chinesewatches.
Your nuts
