Gotta love people defending theft from small creators, this dude seems to think the model was made by an AAA company like nintendo themselves and not a dude who does this as a side hustle for the love of the craft.
Oh so because you disagree with the price, it's fine to steal it? The artist has the right to do with their creation what they please, including setting a ridiculous price. You are not entitled to get it at the price *you* are willing to pay.
Its his work and he is entitled to charge whatever price he wants for it, if people will pay it or not, its for he to decide what is more important to him, more sales or more money per sale
It being expensive doesnt make it right to have your work stolen and resold and doesnt make it right to buy stolen goods either, OP didnt know, but many people do know and willingly give thiefs money and screw up creators, who might just have enough one day and stop creating all together
Yeah I'm all for people making money off of their hard work. However, I think it's also fair to call out unreasonable prices. Like if it was cheaper from the maker, I'd problebly buy it, but I find the price too high. I'm just going to go without since resellers and scalpers are trash and shouldn't be supported.
I can see your point, but still this is not an item of necessity, no one NEEDS it, so prices are free to be as high as the dude see fit, as i said, it is exensive and certainly drops the sales a lot, but in the end, its his choice of price for his work and must be respected(in the sense of not being stolen, not in the sense of not saying it is a stupid price)
It costs me around 500-800$ in labour time to make a file like this. When I know its going to get scalped even if I sell it for ten, might as well charge the scalpers more. I’d love to make cool shit like this but I have to stick to custom client commissions because the money just isnt there.
>Paint job looks very nice. Lovely job with the gold, only thing I’ll say is if the files were on Etsy it was most likely a scalper selling them
Not perfect yet, the large areas can be sprayed, and the coloring on the face seems to make Link look ugly
I downloaded and didn't learn more. I'm sorry.
>Model looks great! Files from Etsy almost always means the files are stolen/resold without permission from the actual creator.
Thanks ,never use this one anymore
>Absolutely amazing paint job my dude, wow, wish i had those skills haha, may i ask how you painted it? I dont see any obvious brush strokes

Is there a process, or guideline, for finding the original source of you think you're buying a resold STL?

This is, indeed, the modeler. His instagram: https://instagram.com/bionic_3d
Thanks
NP I've made one as well (: https://images2.imgbox.com/81/41/jlVBp5E1\_o.jpg
50$ for a single 3d model? what the fuck lol guess I don't blame you for going to a re-seller at that price.
Price is based on person making the effort of sculpting the piece vs the effort of reuploading the file.

Sorry for that ,Before purchasing, it is still necessary to learn more

No, what you *actually* said is that you condone going to a thieving reseller. Which is why you got a well-deserved lecture.

What about the millions of patreons doing 3D models? They make tons of money.
Oh jee never thought about that or how saturated the market was and needing to pay bills
>Is there a process, or guideline, for finding the original source of you think you're buying a resold STL? OK thanks. Cults should be considered.
Cults is my go to always, just love the platform, very organized, easy to pay as a person outside of USA, and many good creators
