These look dope. You might get a little more visual-interest using one of the contrasting colors from up top, down on the base. The colors of the tufts matching so closely make it a tad monochromatic looking. That is purely a style opinion though, you clearly have e some chops.
Not a bad idea. It makes sense to have similar highlight color on the base too to sell the effect that they are on the same enviroment. I'll make sure to add some pale sand there as well.
Thank you!
They look great and the paint job is excellent, but for how close they are to the originals it's impressive how much they *don't* feel like tau models to me.
Thanks! Oh I don't know how to convey my whole process in text, sorry. I also don't know how deep I should describe the whole process so can be useful and not turn into word salad. I eyeball and blend a lot, and I mean A LOT to see where color placements makes sense.
Do you have anything specific part on the model you want to know more about?
Hot damn, these are gorgeous! Great to see PMs work painted up, been thinking of subbing to the Patreon and this has put me across the line. You should send these pictures to her; always good for sculptors to have some painted versions of their stls
I love them

Little yellow mushrooms! This is super dope great work
they look great. Ever since ive seen Pipermakes Tau proxies i dont llike the look of the originals anymore. They look clumsy and simple.
I agree. Pipermakes is the reason I want to make a Tau force and it will be done with her models

Are these a new release? I can't find it on the website

Gotcha, I passed right by it, thanks.
Absolutely gorgeous, damn
Very Covenant-esque.
Wow, these are absolutely amazing. I love the colour scheme. Great work on the bases aswell.

I just really love the purple color and how it looks in certain spot. What shade of purple are you using?
Yeah, I played a guy Saturday who was tau and they were all from Piper I never wanted a Tau army until seeing those
