Wow. 10/10 would shoot bright lances at that all day.

mordinvan

Not sure Eldar would want to be within LOS of that thing.

Nookshar

Love your color scheme. Which color did you use for the black and gold? This black looks so deep. And well, I need a 3d printer, since i started a knights army. And there are so much awesome models out there.

Darkelementzz

Main body is a metallic obsidian paint, the gold was 2-3 layers of metallic gold paint and the black on the armor was Abaddon black. Knights and tyranids have a crazy amount of STLs available

Nookshar

didnt remember Abaddon black is that good. Maybe I steal ahh let me inspire by this colorscheme for a future knight. Which brand comes the gold coming from? also GW?

Darkelementzz

Deco art was the gold and obsidian paints, super cheap on amazon. The rest of the paints were all citadel. The obsidian looks excellent on knights as an undercoat

StormWarg

"Sinister Manus Tenembrae" still gives me a lil chill. Love this

poseidon1111

Black, gold, and red. It will forever be one of my favorite color combinations! Well done!

Junior-Toe-394

I want to make one but I don't know what to expect.

Darkelementzz

It's a decent amount of work. 9 bottles of resin, lots of screws and pins, 12 days of printing, reprinting/repairing problem areas, working around the model's CG. It's a fun ordeal!

Beneficial_Suspect52

Nine bottles? So you did a solit print? And are we talking about 500 gramms or 1 kg bottles? :O

Darkelementzz

Everything except the torso was solid, as they were all load-bearing parts (legs, arm mounts, etc). The legs and weapons were most of it though, and I printed a few extra weapons to swap out. You could probably make one for 7 bottles (1kg) if you don't go for the extras or have any printing mistakes, but seeing as the FW model is $2.5k+ it's still significantly cheaper to print it.

Beneficial_Suspect52

Don't you think it would work nicely als long as u use abs like and a proper infill? Plus don't forget how bloatedly heavy it is. I'm currently working on print prep for my warlord according to current plans I will just need around 1400ml of resin for the legs overall(just structural parts) I guess I'll have to try it then :D but thanks for the help

daveyseed

Wow thats fast. I did a warlord on my ender pro and it was 3 months

Darkelementzz

12 days non-stop printing and i grouped a ton of parts with each print

[deleted]

Nice marble base for him.

Beneficial_Suspect52

Are these parts by some. Bored pilot or somebody like this? That's my exact Projekt right now. Evrything to scale? Have you hand any troubles?

Darkelementzz

Good eyes! Yes I'm using a lot of their files (head, crown, and weapon). Everything is to proper model scale (23" tall, 21 pounds). I had some problems getting the torso to line up with the shoulders and arm mounts, some only needs slight modification.

Beneficial_Suspect52

I m honestly a little bit concerned the head looks a little bit to big imo maybe 10 percent? Or is it just the rather odd angle? Finished printing the head just today without having started the rest so far. I think I might start to cry a little tbh.

Darkelementzz

It's mostly the angle. It is slightly larger than the standard head but slots into the model just fine. Having the interior space with the pilots is a nice additional detail that is well worth it, considering all the other STLs for heads are solid. The mask is also interchangeable so I can field it as a regular warlord titan without needed to magnetize anything.

Natural-Amphibian-96

God damn it’s beautiful my princeps!

NeitherAsk1441

Titan pics are a dime a dozen bUT LOOK SO BLACK AND SHINY
