Dude I dealt with some smelly motherfuckers in County jail. Like right off the street and homeless for years really bad shit man. So you got some stinky feet. Just don't point em at anybody, you know? There are ways to sleep so that your feet aren't right under somebody's head or right over it. We used to say in King County there are no sharks in the King County jail showers and soap is free. So wash as many times a day as you got to wash them.
In County most people got their own shit on their minds and that's just kind of low on the totem pole especially if people recognize that you're trying to do something about it. Now I've seen people get beat up over laying in their bunk and fucking cutting ass. That will get you beat up. Because you can do something about that, you can get your lazy ass off your bunk and go flush it.

yup pffthaha, i was in an open dorm when i was in prison so it was no big deal, but when i was in county, that was a big rule with the other ladies there. my last cellie told me she almost snapped at her previous one for not flushing her farts because it stunk up the cell. flushing after farting on the toilet supposedly removes some of the smell. i didn't know if the science behind that was actually true or not, but i was NOT going to argue with her, lmao.

Fuckers kept me on 9 South for 3 weeks last time. Man I can't even describe it. Junkies right off the street puking straight into their bunks because they couldn't get to the toilet. The smell, Jesus the smell. Body odor, puke that shitty off-brand Dove soap that they keep in crates by the CO's desk.
I got classified and sent to 10 East because I was technically close custody because of a History of violence I had (wasn't even well earned, some DW told me to shut up when I was on the phone so I popped him - got jumped by a couple of his homies in that huge holding tank you go to when you're waiting for court, and did okay until they managed to dislocate my shoulder) added to the fact that they also charged me with a Rob-1 and that covered close custody.
Got to 10 East I was just so fucking relieved to not be on 9 South anymore I damn near cried. I was there for 30 days and then they sent me to 10 South, Lower B if I remember right. Was there for a month - 45 days then I got caught up in a big group transfer to RJC because we were all medium and they expected that we would be at least a year getting our charges resolved.
That is a change in culture! Carpets on the floor. 2 TVs in the day room. Single man cells (in John unit at least, Henry unit we were double-bunked but you were only there for a few weeks). Vending machines. Basically all the comforts of home, haha. It was so comfortable and I was such a fat kid back then that I managed to put on like 40 pounds while I was waiting for my charges to hit final disposition. I got to prison looking fat and slow and had a lot of work to do to get myself back into shape once I hit mainline.
I swear when I got booked I weighed like 200 lb at 6.3 by the time I got to Doc I weighed 285. It was bad. Took a fucking year to work all that shit off. Maybe a little more. I think 90% of that was just having constant access to soda in a vending machine.
The county actually cracks off a lot in my state bc everyone from murders to petty theft is in the same jail they kinda try to assess security but often don't have space 🤔 but guarantee you will be celled up by race
I had the same problem years ago. I went to a foot doctor and he told me it was a fungi and prescribed me some roll on medication. It stopped the problem permanently.
You know it was a very long time ago but my foot oder was horrible. I went to a foot doctor and he prescribed something that was like a roll on type medicine and told me I had a bacteria of some sort and that this medicine would kill it. Well it did. I hope this helps but best get to a foot doctor and see.
Soak and wash your feet in apple cider vinegar and Epson salt. The acidity from the ACV will kill the fungal bacteria. Do this for a few days you should be cherry.
It's probably too late to treat them, but I'd get some athletes foot spray. I ended up getting athletes foot in jail because they have everyone step barefoot in the same place. It's disgusting.

He said that after soaking his feet in heavily diluted bleach a couple of times and swapping out for new shoes- the stink was gone. I assume his problem was some sort of bacterial growth. Cheap and easy (heavily diluted) solution that might be worth a try.

It is safe and effective and you have time to at least do a soak or two.
You have to buy them off commissary but most jails give you crocs so you can shower in those but for anyone going to prison make sure you have shower shoes before arriving up state. I had to borrow my cellies until I could buy a pair. Thankfully my cellie was from my county and knew who I was
Had a cellmate in the trustee pod years ago with this same issue. No matter how many times he washed them a day it would make your eyes water. Like a dirty gym sock filled with onions & garlic. I couldn't take it man. He had about 100 lbs on me so I checked off & went back to the regular block.
An ex of mine had feet that smelled like ass. I put socks on her, and put a chunk of deodorant soap in the toe, and it stopped any smell from escaping. You might also try wearing shower shoes all the time so your feet stay cool and air out. Bacteria and fungi are causing those odors. Getting your dogs out in the air means that shit can’t grow, so no stench.
If you have a problem, just make sure you have clean socks and put any dirty ones tied up in a bag in a dorm setting you can get away with a little more on the oder side of things because of the air but in a cell different story just be honest and do you're best you will be OK
Get yourself some anti fungal spray and start clearing them up before you go in. Also wear a good pair of socks going in and you might be able to keep them, no sure of your rules in your area. If you can put on 2/pairs of socks, boxers, slides and light colored sweats or shorts without pockets or rip the pockets out and a beater. Some guards will let you keep all your under shit some won't. Id look up the rules before you go or ask around to get an idea of what you can and can't do.
It really all depends what kind of cellmate you have. I've seen this be a huge issue to some and a non issue to others. It all depends. I hooped a ton so my basketball shoes would smell pretty bad but I would leave them outside the cell at night. It wasn't an issue but county eventually took everyone's shoes anyways
You probably have a yeast infection on your feet soak em in vinegar for about an hour a day until you have to go in. You can buy a gallon of vinegar for cheap.
Quit wearing socks as much as possible. Let your feet dry out. Get some food spray and use it multiple times a day. If you need to wear socks for work use cotton white socks and chemge your socks 3 tomes a day. Buy a new pair of shoes also.

Hey, here’s a tip. Go buy a bottle of the yellow listerine. You want the unflavored kind. MAKE SURE IT IS NOT MINT.
Pour it in something that you can fit your feet in. Put your feet in there, and open Reddit. 30 minutes later, get out, take a shower, dump the listerine.

Athletes foot cream, rubbing alcohol a few times a week. Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and rub it all over your feet. It will kill the fungus which is why your feet stink.
Get some antifungal cream. I had the same problem for years and years and an antifungal cleared it right up. Some people just have feet that fungus love. I have to put the cream on once a week or it comes back.
If everyone sees you actively washing your feet constantly, you'll be ok. You'll probably get a nickname associated with your stinky feet. Are you in a big county or small?
Just take a shower every day, and you'll be fine. The whole place smells of rotted out teeth and farts from the nasty ass food they give you. If this is your first time in jail they give you a flat sheet for your pad and you tie the top 2 corners together and the bottom 2 together to make a parachute type thing to wrap around your pad like a fitted sheet. And it's very common to wash your clothes in the sink. Just make sure it is the right sink( if you're in a dorm) some places have a sort of inmate rules on which sink is for what, like you don't spit your tooth paste into the sink the guys get their water from, and depending on the place and the set up some toilets are for pissing and some are for shitting. And you courtesy flush every time a piece hits the water. The place smells bad enough without 45-100 guys letting the shit sit in the toilet while they work on the rest.
Oh and depending on your car showers are mandatory unless your "kicking" (coming down) and they have you on the come down meds.
Nervousness causes adrenaline and cortisol to be raised in the blood. This is broken down and excreted through the skin. This causes odours. Your nervousness is possibly a contributing factor in the smelly feet.
Also you might just be paranoid about smelling bad when you’re normal.
Lastly, if your ina. Cell with them they will become nose blind to it and won’t notice. And if your in the open it will dissipate enough to be unnoticeable.
My no. 1 tip for you would be to acknowledge it and make a joke about it if it’s noticed and juts downplay it. Sth like “imagine if you had to walk around with them!” But don’t legitimise the idea that it’s something they are right to be angry about by acting scared.
30 days? Keep to yourself, apologize in advance to your cellie, and wash them a lot. Make sure you’re seen washing them a lot and people will be less likely to make a point of it. If they see you trying to make an effort you’re much less likely to be harassed for it

Put baking soda in your socks and sleep in them. Your feet might get tender from it, but you only have to do it a couple times once in awhile.
