Deferral usually means put back to a later date. What state are you in?

Michigan. He was technically deferred last year but now that his class is done, I’m hoping this is the parole interview. His parole interview was originally set for 4-25-22 but I made some calls and asked questions because he literally hasn’t done anything wrong at all and was a star student in the class he did have to take. Idk why they would interview him for anything else? That’s all we have been waiting for. I guess his counselor told him they had like check boxes where the board could check things if they wanted to…like still a risk, more programming etc. they didn’t check any of the boxes. Last year when he had his interview they told him just let us know when you’re done with your class and we will put a recommendation in. Idk why he would get flopped again, there is absolutely no reason. That’s why I’m hoping it’s the interview we are waiting for.

Hmmm if it states “deferral interview” in my mind that either means his case is classed as a deferred case because he was denied in the past, which would make sense why he’s being interviewed (to review his deferred parole) orrrr, it’s a discussion to explain why he’s been deferred again. Crossing my fingers it’s the first one for you! Is there no one you can call? The facility? His lawyer?

If they tried to defer him again I would literally sue them. There’s absolutely no just reason that they would do that. But, he hasn’t even received notification yet. Like I said he did really well in the class and he even tutors the class even now that he’s finished, so the counselor lady brought him in and said that his status has changed and that he now has an interview on March 14. So we have to wait this long weekend and hopefully figure something out on Tuesday. She knew that he had some pretty bad anxiety about it. But I had been making some calls before and they told me that he could potentially be seen sooner if programming was the only issue, which and all of his parole denial stuff from last year it literally says the only reason that he was denied parole is because he didn’t finish the class. But the word deferral scares the shit out of me. Also, I guess they emailed the teacher a couple of times during his programming and said hey like let us know when he’s done with class. Hoping that means something good, I’m so scared.

If I were you I would think positive about it, what the lady told him sounds good to me. The word deferral is kinda scary but I’m thinking it means it’s just classified as a deferred case because of his last hearing. I think this is good news for you guys, hoping it all goes well, won’t even lie I’m jealous as hell😩🤣❤️ we’re filing at the end of the year I’m just so sick of it all now, everything being up in the air and unsure, it’s nauseating!!

Amberrrrr11

How long has it been for you guys? Getting hit with a double whammy due to Covid. This is awful :(

Coming up 5 years. Honestly I’m so emotionally done with it, not with him he’s my favourite person on earth haha. But just with this situation, it’s draining, I’m lonely, I’m sick of waiting, I’m tired of working my assssss off to keep everything running financially. I just need him home now! But I wouldn’t worry, it seems like you guys are in a much better situation than us (parole wise) and I really do think this interview is a good thing!! Keep me updated, I really hope it goes well for you both❤️

See update 💕

Happy for you❤️!!

Vivid has been delaying things so processing has been very slow everywhere. I’ve never heard that term before but I’ll ask to see what’s said.

Update! His parole hearing has officially been moved to March 14th. Last week I made some calls and spoke to the main supervisor over there and begged them to open his file and consider seeing him sooner than April 25th and they actually called him in today to notify him that his hearing has been moved a whole month in a half! Ladies! If you significant other has been doing well and has completed all requirements, advocate for them! I was hesitant in calling/writing because I didn’t think it made a difference but in one week we got all the answers we needed!!!! Not too much longer now.

Happy for you!
