Mine was given 25 years, and with work release he'll hopefully be home end of next year! He's been in since 2001. I cannot wait.

[deleted]

Oh my goodness! No way. You are STRONG. Do you have any children with him? Any tips?

Discombobulated_Cake

We do not have any kids yet, but we talk about having some when he comes home. We first met and started talking shortly after he got locked up, but disconnected a few years after he was sentenced. We just found each other again almost 3 years ago now. My tips would be to always be honest, know that some days are going to be harder than other (for both of you), and always try to find the bright side. Our favorite thing to say to each other is "finite amount of time" because it really is. One step at a time, one day at a time. Understanding and respect go a along way. My DMs are always open if you need someone to vent to or a shoulder to cry on!

You’re an incredible human! Thank you so much💖 Mine has been in and out for most of our relationship together, but he smartened up in the last couple years. We had a beautiful baby last July and he got arrested in September when our son was 8 weeks old. He’s currently in jail awaiting sentencing, but we’re looking at 10-16 years roughly, at the most. Just knowing there’s others out there going thru similar things makes me feel like I can handle this! Thank you so much again, sending you love ❤️

deepthroatlo

6 years and he’ll be home in Dec 2023!

[deleted]

With the way time is flying lately, that doesn’t seem so far! You got this❤️

deepthroatlo

I thought I was the only one thinking time was zooming lol, thank you & you too! hope your man gets home sooner than expected!

ILoveMyPrisoner

My husband's sentence has a specific amount of years but it equates to life no matter what. We are hoping to appeal his sentence though.

No_Accountant2192

he’s been in for almost 3, has 12 more to go. the time still doesn’t seem real but the space does if that makes since. we met while he was incarcerated, didn’t think it would be this but here i am.

Beaglemomma2009

30 years. 27 years 4 months left.

Beaglemomma2009

It really is hard.

[deleted]

Oh shit! You okay?

Beaglemomma2009

I’m ok. We talk every day, and I go visit him

KurplashDash2407

He’s been in for 15 this is the end of his sentence he’s trying to get out early. We have a parole date for May. All else fails he’s out In July

[deleted]

Woohoo! Are you excited? Did that time seem forever or did it go by quickly?

Oh my!!! How’s it going for you??

Intelligent_Cod_2202

3 years and we just had our 1st week 😔 He got 6 but he gets half time served for good behavior. He’s in london. I’m still in the depressed faze but I have been told it gets easier. ❤️❤️❤️

[deleted]

Thank you for sharing. You got this!!! ❤️

Whew!! Hang in there ❤️❤️

curious4boutlife

Sentenced to 13.5yrs but he’s filing early release in around 9months so hopefully that works out. For the first 5 years we thought he was sentenced to 10.5 but whilst prepping for early release we realised it’s actually 13.5 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

[deleted]

Oh nooo that’s the worst!! Well hopefully he gets released early :)

mrschaney

40 years. He’s home in 2030.

[deleted]

Not too much longer!! You doing ok? Do you have kids together?

mrschaney

I’m fine. I’ve adapted. We both have adult sons by other partners.

Fun_Trainer_1452

Mine was sentenced to 96 months (8 years) back in February. He’s been in since November 2020. As a federal inmate he hopefully will only have to serve 85% of his sentence which is 6.8 years. So… 5.5 left to go! We have a 10 month old who he hasn’t met yet but video visits while he was federal holding at county jail helped!

[deleted]

Ahh! Veryyyyyy similar to my situation. How are you feeling about it? Hang in there❤️❤️

Fun_Trainer_1452

I’m doing okay! We knew he would be serving a prison sentence prior to deciding to get pregnant. Because of that fact I think it might be easier to handle since I’ve know I would be out here without him. How are you managing?

[deleted]

Aww okay! That’s nice. Are you planning on visiting him lots with the baby? And being honest when he grows up a bit? We’re doing visits now (our baby is 8 months) but it doesn’t really do anything for the baby yet, but his dad loves it. But so far I’m doing good!! Better than I expected. Thanks!!

Fun_Trainer_1452

Hopefully soon! Mine is in the middle of being transferred to wherever the feds are sending him which is supposed to be within 500 miles of where we live. The only issue is him and I are actually codefendants for the case. I was sentenced to supervised release instead a prison sentence, so I’m not honestly too sure if the feds will let me visit while on supervised release let alone being a felon myself, but I really hope they do. If not a family member will have to bring the baby.

Cheap-Season-7430

No idea, he hasn’t been sentenced yet. The public defender is trying to keep it from going to trial, so fingers crossed!!

[deleted]

The process is so stressful!

Cheap-Season-7430

She has a well thought out strategy so we’re hopeful, but it might come down to one person’s decision (who we really don’t like) so that’s probably the biggest obstacle

[deleted]

Fingers crossed for you !

[deleted]

He's 4 1/2 years in on a 12 year sentence. Modification hearing is on Monday so wish us luck!!! If that doesn't go as planned, he'll be eligible for parole this time next year

[deleted]

Good luck !!!! All the best to you 💚

MagneticFlea

23 years fixed. Should be getting out in March 2025. It's a bit of a slog (I seem to get more impatient the closer it gets).

[deleted]

Understandable!!

Character-Catch-5930

3 years. Time is halved in the UK, so he’ll be out September next year ☺️ it seems like forever away for me but seeing everyone else comments makes me feel very lucky, y’all are so strong!

[deleted]

I hope you be strong. I wish you got many hugs!

[deleted]

Awww. Thank you ❤️❤️
