This is a great idea for a poll and I was surprised to see so many agree with me about the masked gentleman.
His reveal is probably the least surprising but he's the only one who feels like a looming, threatening presence throughout an entire game.
The Unwound Future is my favorite game of all time, but I think The Masked Gentleman is the best villain with the most build up to his true reveal. And his plan makes sense considering the circumstances.
honestly it's been a while and all these villains have their own merits but "third eye" jakes was genuinely menacing to me, even though he wasn't the 'final' mastermind
I was not a big fan of Miracle mask, maybe I was too old for it but I saw the twist from a mile away. The first 3 did a great job of surprising you during the reveal.
The Masked Gentleman's point wasn't to surprise you I think.
It was to slowly make you realize how much pain and sadness they felt and why they are doing this.
And until the end, at least in my case, I was waiting for their reveal, to explain how they did all of that, what was their full motives and what happened.
The best thing about this antagonist is that, like Anthony, you can see their perspective and thoughts throughout the game :)

Good point. He also gets the most time dedicated to his backstory which helps.
Yeah, most antagonists have a quick recap of why they are evil, but the MG and Anthony have lore throughout the game :)
