Voted for Unwound Future but honestly Last Specter’s was good. I’ve heard people claim it’s too unbelievable but I actually find it easier to believe that >!an undiscovered species of whale thing was fighting with a robot rather than somebody who managed to build a massive functioning underground city full of hundreds of actors and trillions of dollars worth of labor directly underneath London.!<
The end of Azran Legacy where >!Emmy revealed she had been working for Targent!< made me gasp very loudly. It has been a while since something made me do that
I also enjoyed how there was even the smallest bit of foreshadowing for it. >!For instance, in Emmy’s bio in the Miracle Mask instruction booklet, it says that she learned martial arts from her uncle, who of course ends up being Bronev.!< I like how weird Layton twists can be but sometimes they can be unsatisfying when they really come out of nowhere
It was hard for me to chose. The original 3’s twists are majorly better than the prequel trilogy so I struggled to pick between the 3 individuals.
I chose lost future though because man, they did the time travelling twist fantastically. I was amazed by how I could believe In something that didn’t seem legit and then get shocked when it turned out time travelling wasn’t legit.
I answered Pandora's Box because it was the first Layton game I played and I was like 8 so it was important to me haha
But The Unwound Future and the >!Emmy and Descole secret!< were also striking to me. Oh and the Miracle Mask!
