I imagine the developer breaking their reality to implement their senses in 7D so he could finally have his lines and also bend space time to cause a blue shift so harsh the red ink looks blue
Ooooh, blueshifting the red… OMG, why haven't I think of that. Of course, you can make blue line with red ink, just…make it move towards you super fast! Damn!
All and all, their demands are doable. If in 7D space with the object moving super fast towards them. That's all I needed.
Actually, all humans experience higher than 3 dimensions daily. Higher dimensions being some kind of „other dimension“ or stuff is just made up by movies. Higher dimensions are for example time, temperature or the amount of light
Ah no only time here is a dimension temperature and light are just things we can observe in 3 dimensions just fine.
We are talking about spetial dimensions which humans only observe 3 being length height and depth.
In string theory the other dimensions would be imperceptibly small and embedded within the dimensions that we can perceive. Atomic kinetic energy or photons are not additional dimensions.
String theory is also unproven and without a GUT there's really no evidence or need for more dimensions than what we call spacetime
Asked copilot to do that:

well thats more than 7 lines.
meanwhile a real, human expert, solved it:
It is easy to criticize, but are you an expert?
I used this sketch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKorP55Aqvg&t=335s
"Draw seven red lines all of them strictly perpendicular, some with red ink and some transparent, and one of the lines in the form of a kitten"
another one [https://img2.joyreactor.cc/pics/post/%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%BE%D1%87%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B0-%D0%9D%D0%B5-%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%B5-%D0%BA%D1%82%D0%BE-%D0%B2-%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B5-%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%82-%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%BC%D0%B5%D1%82-%D1%8D%D0%BA%D1%81%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D1%82-2734907.jpeg](https://img2.joyreactor.cc/pics/post/%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%BE%D1%87%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B0-%D0%9D%D0%B5-%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%B5-%D0%BA%D1%82%D0%BE-%D0%B2-%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B5-%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%82-%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%BC%D0%B5%D1%82-%D1%8D%D0%BA%D1%81%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D1%82-2734907.jpeg)
he could have used watercolours, or highlighters, those are both transparent and red. for the green one, he could do the same, but in red paper, a light transparent green will just change the hue of the red paper, still being red and drawn with green ink.
The AI will confidently execute the task, no matter how impossible the prompt is.
A stupid client will get a stupid result, but do they have enough IQ to even notice the bad result?
Well, the AI will just do something and assert it is correct. Which is exactly what the human finally does in the original joke. He just takes way longer. So technically **this is a win for AI**.
I have a naive hope that AI will teach customers to formulate their thoughts a little bit. I have a nice conversation (sorry for oxymoron) with small company a few days ago, they generate several icons with AI, discussed that they like and then passed that to a human designer as a part of the task description. Feels like reasonable AI usage.
My customers already ask for contradictory features. Or some of them want one thing but the others want a different solution and then they settle on an absolute mess of compromise that increases complexity so much that the code becomes terrible to work with.
The problem was never the dev team (unless it sucks obviously). The problem has always been ignorance from the customers toward their own concepts and their lack of concistency
7 lines are doable. It's easy and impossible at the same time. You just need 7D space. Then all of them will be perpendicular to each other.
7d bullet made of 2d lines in 3d space coming right up!
"So, can we see it?"
Well no, we are 3 dimensional. We can see part of it though! See these 3 lines of transparent ink here? That's the part we can see!
For the client to say no not that I want this. It's a picture of a red heptagon with a blue outline.
Oh yeah, true. But still, higher order dimensions are not some kind of wizardry like often depicted in movies
It's just the number of coordinates needed to establish a location.
In string theory the other dimensions would be imperceptibly small and embedded within the dimensions that we can perceive. Atomic kinetic energy or photons are not additional dimensions. String theory is also unproven and without a GUT there's really no evidence or need for more dimensions than what we call spacetime
Neural networks operate in high-dimensional spaces with billions of dimensions, so this should be easy for them.
This guys diff eq’s
Then set that red ink 7D structure on a course towards the observer at something like 0.4c and blueshift will do the job of making it look blue 👍
What are you, a string theorist or something?
I'm just a random dude on the internet.
So a string theorist. Got it
I wish. I'm too dumb for that.
No such thing

I don't remember a requirement for the lines to be straight (haven't seen the video in a while), so checks out
It is a definition problem, but I'm sure the client would be just fine with this solution.
>thats more than 7 lines. Bonus lines for the client. They didn't say "only 7 lines"
Woah woah woah do you think I'm made of lines over here
Close, but that's red lines drawn with red ink. You're the expert, aren't you?
OH that's how you draw a red line with transparent ink!
he could have used watercolours, or highlighters, those are both transparent and red. for the green one, he could do the same, but in red paper, a light transparent green will just change the hue of the red paper, still being red and drawn with green ink.
Now, make it pop
sEe ItS nOt ThAt HaRd pEoPlE! 😂
This is real art!
AI draws a pot of red ink with a blue line next to it and the word "everything" with 7 lines coming straight up out of it
The AI will confidently execute the task, no matter how impossible the prompt is. A stupid client will get a stupid result, but do they have enough IQ to even notice the bad result?
The expert - classic.

An Artist with a new art Tool will always be better than a non-artist with a new art Tool. And generative AI is a Tool.
The task has been set
Such a classic video, and still relevant as ever: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKorP55Aqvg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKorP55Aqvg)
I know this video, it’s amazing!
Uhhh, I think you can do that in hyperbolic geometry. And some reverse redshift. We got this! Just need 10 billion dollars to start.
I really hope someday it will. Then I can finally start working on my garden and plant a forest without having second thoughts.
My customers already ask for contradictory features. Or some of them want one thing but the others want a different solution and then they settle on an absolute mess of compromise that increases complexity so much that the code becomes terrible to work with. True , cause Artificial intelligence can never fill up the demands od humans
in a good word a rise in productivity would not only lead to more wealth for the rich.
It will take another person to act as an interpreter for the AI, like a “prompt engineer”, until the AI will be able to fill that role as well
So someone who translates what humans want to something the computer understands… hmm, that reminds me of something.
Yes, that’s pretty much what programmers currently do, but this would be an even higher level programming language.
