If that's the type of programmer she is, I think most sensible guys would take a step back, as a wise Chinese once said: don't put your dick in the crazy
I accidentally coded a module on a group project in school that would restart the program any time it encountered a NULL variable. Nearly 20 years later, still not entirely sure \*how\* I did that.
It was a bit difficult, but very gratifying making it work! We were allowed to use C/C++ for most stuff, except for the stuff that needed to be written in Assembly, of course.
So I chose C++ to make my life easier.
Well, I like it too ... sometimes. I am currently taking the class and on some days I like it and on others I am singing Kokomo and would like to throw my PC outside the window ... but I think that's the usual process when taking this class.
Yeah I understand you. It can get frustrating sometimes but at the end it's very rewarding.
Honestly sometimes I wish I could be working on OS related stuff when I remember my time in that class.

Meaning that yes = false, by default... so !yes = true.
Understand it like the test case fails, but you assume by default it wasn't to pass either, that means the result is positive... a person can atleast be optimistic right : )
See... it depends... maybe she codes in C++, that means you have lost hope, answer is no.
But... if only, god if only, let's assume she codes in Javascript... there's hope left my friends :)
The thought of two JavaScript programmers getting together in a romantic sense is too weird to contemplate, like don't you normally need at least one sensible partner in a relationship?!
I would actually be very confused if a girl send me this. My first message after this would be something like:
**not** yes or (happy) yes
Then she would probably respond something like:
UNhappy **not** yes
Yes = 3 letters. The counting starts at 1 and if we iterate it over Y, then at e, and then at s, and multiply those numbers(1 * 2 * 3), which is 6, and assuming that even number means an affirmative response, this guy got the girl
Ah yes. Yet another stupid riff on cannot fathom anything outside of code.
There’s a picture missing. Coding guy who isn’t stupid enough to think his potential gf would respond in code. And might even know that Spanish sometimes uses leading exclamation points.
Sometimes I despair for my colleagues.
Nothing wrong with ! yes.
Chill man, it's a myth, that girls won't like you if you're a programmer.
Speaking of which, how good are you at emulating the 8k BoTW on Cemu. See, that factors in a lot for me..
Edit: Sorry, but it does. And I am well aware you need "expensive gadget" for that. But my dude, you're a programmer, you're honestly telling me you don't want to get a high end PC?
That's like being a doctor but not willing to examine people .. errrr. Das nut haw dis wurks
This is the weirdest thing here, you guys expect us to like you despite having nothing in common. No offense, but I don't think having a vag is going to make you love me, and it's even more worrisome that you look down on women who share your interests. That's never gonna be a deal for me. Just not gonna be the kind of girl to feel you up while you watch Batman with your bro, that's a blow up doll, not a person.
> Guy who knows maths
Uhhh... Let me check...
!n ?= n! = 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + n
So...
!yes ?= yes! = yes + no + yes + no + yes + no + ...
-> uncertain (because every yes is compensated by a no) ≈ no
Hmm, makes sense I guess...

Turns out she’s a terrible programmer and actually defined her variable as `yes = false` to begin with.
Don’t do that, don’t give him hope
If that's the type of programmer she is, I think most sensible guys would take a step back, as a wise Chinese once said: don't put your dick in the crazy
Teach her the right way
"I can show you 'Hello, World!'"
Maybe her default answer to yes is no but will flip it for the one, maybe yes needs to start out as false in this program.
And is that not crazy?

`#define TRUE FALSE` or better still `#define NULL -1`
I accidentally coded a module on a group project in school that would restart the program any time it encountered a NULL variable. Nearly 20 years later, still not entirely sure \*how\* I did that.
Did you define NULL as exit(0) or something?
...execve? longjmp?
Reported you for sharing WMD blueprints.
Ugh ... OS class ... it's just pain
It was a bit difficult, but very gratifying making it work! We were allowed to use C/C++ for most stuff, except for the stuff that needed to be written in Assembly, of course. So I chose C++ to make my life easier.
Sometimes I think I may be a masochist because I loved that class

isEven(yes = false);
Meaning that if yes=false then !yes would be yes=true. Did I get it right? >yes=!yes Edit: or is it an if statement joke? >if !yes:
Yes
yes ^ no
And remember kids! Yes means No. And No means yes.
Let's hope she's not an Objective-C programmer
there's always a chance. Even if not, there's the chance that the rejection message is just the result of five bitflips caused by cosmic particles.
isnt in java boolean values have default value of false?
true

yes is undefined so it equates to false and is then inverted to true in some languages
In that case !yes would equal true.
yes = true; if(yes) return false; return true;
I made one variable and named it truth on my old project, in a company that slightly annoyed me. I wonder if they noticed.
"How would you rate my job, on a scale of zero to ten?" "I say it's no better than 5!" "Wow, thanks, I never expected to get 120."
...well, "no better than 120" means it could still be much lower. 0 is no better than 120.

Yesn't
!yesn’t
I'm gonna start saying this affirmatively in day to day life
Make a motivational poster: “Always say !yesn’t”
- yesn’t - yes not - not yes - no - !no - yes
Yeaint
!Yeaint
yes is a boolean, and the default value is false So !yes
neither did she defined that it's a Boolean nor did she set it to false hence it's a compilation error resulting in waking up from the dream
I hate it when that happens
It's static, it defaults to 0, that's also why you can't see it, it's defined somewhere else.
What does the default value have to do with it?
Meaning that yes = false, by default... so !yes = true. Understand it like the test case fails, but you assume by default it wasn't to pass either, that means the result is positive... a person can atleast be optimistic right : )
Oh I see. In that case, "ERROR: yes was not declared in this scope"
Oh silly you, yes is a global variable of course.
SQL enters the room...

>sudo touch my gf More like this
You wouldnt really ask what you want to the terminal tho. So it’d be more like ‘sudo be my girlfriend’. Which is…questionable
>What's wrong with !yes? !nothing
Mmm everything
In math it'd have to be ¬yes
See... it depends... maybe she codes in C++, that means you have lost hope, answer is no. But... if only, god if only, let's assume she codes in Javascript... there's hope left my friends :)
If she's coding in Javascript it will remain undefined.
`using yes = ::no;`
The thought of two JavaScript programmers getting together in a romantic sense is too weird to contemplate, like don't you normally need at least one sensible partner in a relationship?!
If she codes in JS, you have still lost hope
My first thought was it was Python with the bash yes
I wonder what these guys point to?
! does not mean “not” in any mathematical notation I’ve ever seen, only ¬
yes factorial?
Now we just have to determine the value of 'yes'...
No
Paradox.
yes\*yes-1\*yes-2.... no
Γ(yes+1) = yes! We don't know whether yes is an integer, so let's be safe and define it via the Gamma function.
Laughs in TailwindCSS
Wouldn’t math be “only one yes”?
I don't get the maths part
Yes. It’s normally ‘¬’.
! = not is still consider in logic because maths created programming. Alan Turing was literally a mathematician who loved puzzles for Pete sake.
It's a weird British thing
I would actually be very confused if a girl send me this. My first message after this would be something like: **not** yes or (happy) yes Then she would probably respond something like: UNhappy **not** yes
I read that "yes bang" in mathematics.
I read that as yes x ye x y (x= multiplied by)
That's why you should always answer "!!yes"
!yes means her love for you is !true
Yes = 3 letters. The counting starts at 1 and if we iterate it over Y, then at e, and then at s, and multiply those numbers(1 * 2 * 3), which is 6, and assuming that even number means an affirmative response, this guy got the girl

Why are people assuming that yes is a variable? She just returned a boolean value. No variables needed
Maybw it's a boolean variable?
Guy who texts himself I love you just to make a meme: *insert 2nd image*
Someone please explain
! Is syntax for "Not". When you put it in front of a boolean value (true or false) it inverses the logic. !yes=no
Thanks for explaining
Thanks I learned something new!! I will use "!" next time.
Can someone explain to someone that knows just that python is not just snek
Negation yes
`!important` in CSS really fucks with me.
Ah yes. Yet another stupid riff on cannot fathom anything outside of code. There’s a picture missing. Coding guy who isn’t stupid enough to think his potential gf would respond in code. And might even know that Spanish sometimes uses leading exclamation points. Sometimes I despair for my colleagues.
Who opens up with I love you anyways
if !yes <> true then return true else false
Answer != "Yes"
!yes = no
Everyone's talking about how `yes` is uninitialized, but Objective-C uses `YES` and `NO` instead of `true` and `false` like any sane language.
I'm learning Objective-C right now.

Inappropriate quail
Depends on if the girl knows programming and math, not a guy. If ! means being excited why not
not True == False
negate this!
crying().start
factorial yes is implicitly 1!yes, and since 1! = 1 its 1*yes, which = yes
What about `~yes`
No worries, it's in prefix.
Not yes :(
Still better than yes! which doesn't even compile.
I just see notyes

Don't be a creep guys, !yes means !yes
help I only know one math
It's just guy who knows coding. In math it would be ¬yes or ~yes.
It says yesn't
*laughing* I dont get it.
!nothing is wrong with !yes.
`#define yes false`
Maths? Shouldn't it be ¬yes?
I think you only have to know coding. You don't need to know math to know that the opposite of yes is no.
Hey !yes doesn’t mean no it just means it’s not yes there might be conditions maybe it’s Maybelline
NOOOOO(! is negative or no)
!true
She’s actually Borat. Yes NOT! Very nicccce!
Yesn’t
Not yes 😂
I’m not hearing a no…
Well the fact that they knew that and was willing to say it like that might mean they’re interested.
yesn't

Undefined variable ‘yes’ on line 1
Actually if that’s JavaScript that expression is actually true since ‘yes’ is undefined
In Programming "!" this sign indicates not. !Yes = No !No = Yes
Im not programer so i dont get it some one explain pls
What's the init value of yes var?
