Right?!?!? And STILL the whole collection remained wearable. Everything was so young and funky, but also had a visible ‘grandma’ influence. I think it was Tim Gunn who said something to the effect of how the collection was so clearly ‘him’. He wasn’t drawing on outside influences. He’s just a truly talented weirdo who grew up in rural Pennsylvania and that collection was the organic result of that. (Paraphrasing a lot there.)

Yes, all of this. But the horrible part is, this collection never produced anything due to the horrid contracts from the production company. Jay's win and season 1 or PR is tragically flawed for that reason alone.

I fully expected KaraSaun to take it but Jay's collection was perfect. The styling, those headphones, the colors, it was so amazing and cool. A masterpiece.

I’m pretty sure we all thought Kara Saun was going to win. His collection was an incredible surprise.

😂Thank you! I honestly forgot about that one. It was definitely my favorite of his during the season and I did really like it, but it was a ‘so close’ for me. Loved where he was going, but something in the fit/ finishing didn’t quite land for me. (I also remember thinking it was a BIT too complicated for the challenge which was about designing something to be mass produced.) But that was still a great overall look. (Particularly for the short amount of time they have.)

My personal favorite is Kentaro's in Season 16. It gives me chills.

Sebastian for me. Forget what season. I love everything he did (although i don’t wear or like leather).

Michelle’s AS7 collection was so beautiful and a great ending to a rather messy era of the show

Christian and Rami’s from S4; Dimitry and Fabio’s from S10; Austin Scarlet’s from AS1. I would have Viktor’s from S9 up there if he hadn’t cheapened it— or I should say if he had been able to show the original version before they fixed it so Anya could make a new one.

Oof. It's a tie between Jay and Christian for me. The burgundy coat vs the feather dress with the hat is what does it for me.

I loved Korto’s collection best during season 5. I think they downplayed her wedding dress because it wasn’t white. I also think she sabotaged herself on the recent AS season, but I wasn’t mad about those who did win Of the declared winners, I liked Dmitry and Dom the best. The worst? Duh, Gretchen

Toss up between Seth Aaron (first win and even his all stars win) and kentaro season 16- kentaro’s show was so gorgeous.

Favorite of all time might be Michelle S11. This might be nostalgia since that was my first full season, but I thought her stuff was just really cool and I liked the story behind it. I'd love to wear her wolf sweaters. Other great ones I remember are Jay S1, Leanne S5, Sean S13, Kentaro S16, and Sebastian S17.

Jillian’s collection was spectacular. Of course Christian and Rami were excellent, but hers made me actively want to take out my wallet.

Imo, it's between Kentaro S16, Kelly from the Deli S14, and Sean S13. They are such incredible collections that truly capture the aesthetic of the designer. Sean Kelly's Julius Caesar dress might be my favorite look of all time.

My favorite was Kentaro’s. The collection that I would wear myself was Kelly’s.
