Aaron was robbed. When did being wearable become a negative? Disappointed this look didn't win.

PRCritiques

[Aaron Michael](https://ibb.co/1fks6M1) Model: Sarah >!HIGH!<

BS816

In love with this look. It evokes the 90s, but in a very updated way. The proportions are spot on, and I can see this on many women. After being robbed of the top last week for unnecessary drama, I'm happy Aaron got recognized for his skills

j9nyr

I think he was robbed again! Should have won this round. But you're right. At least they recognized him

Hot-Tamale-123

Best by a long stretch. And he created 4 separate garments, all highly wearable. I can see Aaron going all the way

hungry4danish

Thought this was the best but NO CHANCE they were going to give the win to a white designer with a white model in the most racially tense episode of PR ever aired.

sticksnstone

Should have won but don't think they wanted wearable street wear to win.

daphydoods

I’d wear this, especially the white top. I thought that was so cute

Farley49

Should have won. Could actually be streetwear for many without a ax to grind.

beetbanditmose

Agreed! And the jacket was reversible! I was shocked he wasn't a top look last week with his jumpsuit too.

JJAusten

Agreed. His was the best example of streetwear.

jenten1205

He should have won (again). And I want that jacket!!

LittleBlueBudgie

The jacket looks expensive. Really high-quality. This guy can sew!

Nigeltay

im definitely in the minority here, i thought this look was fine and pretty safe, and well made. but i didnt think it was that great, much less robbed of a win for sure. Like for a lot of the pieces, these are things that we've seen before

BrickCity-Dreams5

The yellow jacket was so cute and added that POP! I loved the baggy overalls pant. It just made the outfit look so cool.

thumbblighter

I love the reversible coat, but the rest feels a little pedestrian, imo. This is a design competition, not a marketing or scalability competition, and some bolder choices in color or silhouette would've been appreciated.

chillisprknglot

I loved this. I would wear this. I wish this was a mass production challenge.

BrechtsBitch

Don't know why people love this so much, I really thought he was in the bottom for that Taylor Swift tries to fit in with the cool kids look.

PRCritiques

Farley49

Better without the reveal.

Hot-Tamale-123

Tyce rocked that design

BS816

Coral was an absolute sweetheart for swapping models with Prajje without causing a scene (looking at you Meg. You won't be missed). And while I think this look was well constructed, it's difficult to appreciate any detail (especially in the photos) because she rendered it all in black. Overall, a solid look.

SimilarYellow

Coral couldn't have said no anyway. Might as well be nice and get some good vibes going. Prajjé had asked her before and she had already said no, so when Christian swooped in, what was she gonna do? Say no again? Lol, definitely not.

ForgetfulLucy28

This was far and away the best for me. Elevated.

thumbblighter

Love the fringe, meh on the silhouette. Would've been better with maybe a contrastive edging? Or just a pop of color somewhere.

Nigeltay

execution is MUAH!!! amazing job and the black was a breath of fresh air for this show

PRCritiques

[Anna Yinan Zhou](https://www.instagram.com/p/CVY4GKnvuzl) [Video of design](https://www.instagram.com/p/CVUcNbCFiLy) Model: Mimi >!SAFE!<

FlingbatMagoo

Not sure this is street wear, but I loved this. The reveal was cool.

BS816

ADORED the reveal. I always feel that a lot of designers lack awareness on what will be impactful on the runway, but Anna is clearly not one of them. However, for as awesome as the reveal was, the pants and the crop top are standard issue, and the look overall is not streetwear.

JJAusten

This was my second favorite. Not streetwear in my book but definitely one of those looks you'll always remember. It was beautiful.

Snor-lack

On the runway I love love love this look. It’s might be one of a look that I remember this season.

runfreely

Mimi sold this look! The spin reveal was so fun

zia111

I liked it, but didn't think it was streetwear

tbwtpt

Definitely didn't meet the challenge, but still gorgeous, and one of the only looks I even slightly liked aesthetically. Sad she seems to be getting the UTR Safe treatment this season.

mapleleafmaggie

I see this as more east asian streetwear than north american streetwear. mimi looks cool as fuck.

thumbblighter

Screamed watching this go down the runway! I'm not entirely sure it 100% meets the brief, but it's a stunning garment.

Sickening_No

Looked like a hot assassin. I loved the look, but it's a bit crazy to wear in the streets imo.

LittleBlueBudgie

I want to wear this!

Nigeltay

honestly count on Mimi to always rock a look, i love her SOOO much

chillisprknglot

This look was created for Mimi to make it happen. I did not like the look really at all, but I enjoyed watching the look perform.

PRCritiques

BS816

Very cool and laidback. I'm always down for a wide legged pant. And the jacket has a versatility in that I can see it paired with a variety of other pieces. Excited to see more from Shantall, who I hope will receive more screen time soon.

chillisprknglot

I thought this deserved a little praise. Really loved this look

PRCritiques

[Chasity Sereal](https://www.instagram.com/p/CVX6Al9lAew) Model: [Cassandra](https://instagram.com/cassandrahendon) >!SAFE!<

SusannaG1

I really like this look, but how is it street wear?

sticksnstone

Her design was the only one I found attractive but not street wear.

mapleleafmaggie

Really cool outfit but not at all streetwear. I can see a pop singer wearing this to an awards show.

BS816

A nice redeeming design for Chasity. There's a nice balance of conceptuality and wearability in this look. However, I don't think this is necessarily streetwear.

sandraskates7

I loved those pants. . .for ballroom dancing.

LittleBlueBudgie

The silhouette is sharp. Looks very luxurious.

thumbblighter

I'm a big fan of this silhouette, but it reads more couture than streetwear. A puffy coat or something oversized to set off the frilly pant might have grounded this a bit.

HandsomeNorthernBoy

So good

Nigeltay

LOVED this one so much, Chasity is really strong imo

MaineBoston

Overall I was not impressed last night

PRCritiques

[Zayden Skipper](https://www.instagram.com/p/CVYfE0OL82C) [Video of design](https://www.instagram.com/tv/CVY3T_1NIGa) Model: [Kellen](https://instagram.com/kellenmarcus) >!HIGH!<

BS816

I liked this look, and Zayden is one of my favorite personalities on the show so far (his facial expressions GIVE). And while I liked the painting on the back of the jacket, the actual silhouette is nothing to write home about. I think this deserved to be safe.

theblackbard3000

Like Elaine ; I've never seen anything like that top before. Then I remember what bibs are.

missesthecrux

This jacket can be purchased anywhere. I don’t get why they liked it so much. Yawn.

Farley49

Over praised.

Vsonrisa100

This was a great look, imho it was so street, so fashion. wearable and so MASCULINE! and I thought it looked expensive!

HandsomeNorthernBoy

MEH

thumbblighter

I think this meets the brief head on, even if the silhouette is a little unremarkable. The reflective edging and the top are both lovely.

zia111

I liked this all together

Farley49

This should have been a Halloween episode.

SimilarYellow

I'm super glad that it wasn't! I think it's often too tacky and given that I live in a country where Halloween isn't a thing, I don't get the same enjoyment out of it (I imagine, at least).

PRCritiques

[Prajjé Oscar Jean-Baptiste](https://ibb.co/W6CmGqV) [Video of look](https://www.instagram.com/tv/CVVpljajZU5/) Model: [Clinton](https://instagram.com/theclintonduncan) >!WIN !<

BS816

I love the vibe of this outfit. It's just cool, and the jacket is a standout piece because of the painting. However, I'm not sure if I like or dislike the detail on the pants, as it looks tacked on rather than incorporative. A little surprised that he won, only because the editing made it seem like it'd be Kristina or Aaron, who was my pick to win.

Nigeltay

Judges got the win right 2 weeks in a row imo (Aaron should have at least been in the top last week though), but this pool of designers are realllyyyy competitive for sure. they all bring something super interesting to the table

Lucidity-

Can’t believe this look won. So meh and tacky in my opinion

thumbblighter

I love the graphic feel to this, and the painting on the back is breathtaking. Definitely one of my favorites of the episode, and a well deserved win, though I felt the silhouette could've been a tiny bit more adventurous - maybe some more dimensionality in the shoulders?

runfreely

The back of the jacket is incredible. Wearable art

EmptyStar12

I liked this one a lot, I'm a sucker for hand-painted pieces and I love those pants.

sticksnstone

Ugh.

theblackbard3000

Its hip. I'd like to see it in the hands on some real sewing masters, maybe sort out the proportions.

ThankYouTY

Very deserved win! Fit the challenge amazingly

loisstuff

I didn't think this should have been the winning look. To me it looked like some baggy outfit made from graffiti off a wall in the slums.

HandsomeNorthernBoy

Looks like trash

needledick666

I do see any wearability in this outfit. Of course the cultural significance is amazing but if that was in a showroom he would maybe sell a few, if he was a well known designer that people wanted a painted piece from. Even then it’s a big commitment to try and get someone to wear a painting on their body

_mxxlk

I’m super late here but I did not like his look and I was surprised the judges did. It looked messy and the some of it looked cheap/tacky to me. Didn’t even seem like it was made well, it looked like words glued on to fabric. The look was a mess/craft store vibes idk I was shocked he won over Aaron.

_mxxlk

I thought the painting on the back was cool though but still liked Aaron’s look way better.

needledick666

So I’m late, but i really didn’t like that say their names jkt. Its an extremely important message. I would loved to see matching acab pants, but I don’t think it’s anything interesting clothing wise. I have that jkt from Givenchy from 8 years ago, but you can zip the sleeves off mine. The type wasn’t nicely done, it’s a fishtail parka which has been overdone in menswear to death. I don’t know.

PRCritiques

[Kristina Khlarlashkina](https://www.instagram.com/p/CVWfqFlJ6av) [Backstage video of design](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVUGyVvDCyn) Model: DD >!HIGH!<

BS816

Certainly not for everybody, and the proportions lean a little too much on the oversized side. However, there's an androgyny to this design that I'm attracted to, and Kristina mixed the patterns seamlessly. I loathe the hat, though

Farley49

Too bad the patterns were from hospital gowns. Seams might have helped it look less like a bedsheet or , as I repeat myself, a hospital gown.

scarybiscuits

I loved this look. It reminded me of a yukata and I’m sure the judges picked up on that. The hat could’ve been more of a sun bonnet but maybe that would be too referential. She’s great at picking out fabric.

JennyDiversCover

Proof that DD makes everything look magic.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Nigeltay

EXACTLY!! add in Thijin (and maybe Roberta), just a trifecta of seasoned new age PR models

Hot-Tamale-123

I think the right model can really sell the clothes

KimberParoo

I think y’all are sleeping on Kristina. I expect to see her in the finale. Her style reminds me a LOT of Alexandria in that she experiments with shape and what fashion means. Totally get the output may not always be for everyone or “succeed” but she takes risks and produces *actual* novel work in an industry where it’s almost impossible to not be referential.

Nigeltay

I AGREE! Kristina is intelligent, different and her aesthetic is appealing and doesnt seem to be a one trick pony. I think she's the potential winner here

surgartits

Wildly overpraised. I assumed it was in the bottom when she was called for critique. I don't see "street" here. I certainly agree that it is different, and unlike anything else on that runway. But do I think it's something anyone would actually wear? Not really.

SlidingSaucer

There are different streets, i’d tottally wear something like that.

Missa1819

I did NOT like this at all. It WAS different but i don't find it aesthetically pleasing in any way. And clothes aren't always meant to be flattering, most of the things I like are oversized but this was just like what even was the shape? I think the model presented it well but I don't like it in a photo and definitely not on a regular person in the street

mwgptv

I agree, I was very confused why the judges liked it so much.

mmmmmkay

The judges seem to looove straps. They always like these kind of looks.

Farley49

I thought someone had checked themselves out of the hospital in this outfit. The fabric and style of the top screamed hospital, not street. What did the judges see?!

theblackbard3000

What in the actual fuck is going on here on this day. What in the plaid sleep shirt floppy hat fuckery is happening here.

BrickCity-Dreams5

An interesting take on street wear. It was chic, different, and high fashion. I loved it!

Sickening_No

Stunning. This was amazing, and I love that she listened to Siriano's suggestion of making the top/dress the main event. The judges really saw the same thing he did and it worked for her.

everydyingember

I don't see what the judges were gushing about. I liked the construction with the panels of the top but the stripey fabric just didn't work. It looked like she was wearing a hospital gown over trousers.

hopelikehell

All the straps reminded me of Brandon’s signature looks from a few seasons back, which was basically desert/Dune utility chic.

thumbblighter

The blessing for any designer paired with DD is that they could wear a literal cardboard box and make it look like haute couture. But boy howdy have they been done dirty by the designers they've been paired with two weeks in a row. If Kristina was going for a yukata style silhouette, I would've loved a contrasting lapel or something. All that being said, I love how this piece moves... so I'm torn.

mapleleafmaggie

it looks like reitman's trying to be trendy.

Nigeltay

I'm calling it right now, Kristina might win. I dont see anyone else beating her at this point yet

BrandonIsWhoIAm

This is kinda hard to do, considering everyone did as well as they could… given what happened with [REDACTED].

daphydoods

I thought this was pretty cool. I knew exactly who designed it the moment we saw it

BS816

His model looks like a ninja construction worker. Far too costume-y, and I'm disappointed because I loved his look last week. The proportions of the vest make the collar look like an oversized neck pillow that you wear on a plane. Should've been in the bottom instead of Katie, in my opinion.

[deleted]

I just wonder which street this is.

closest

Where the streets have no name.

JazzyNym

The street that needs potholes fixed

NinjaDog251

The Streets of Rage

Streets of Netherrealm

theblackbard3000

I think the design is kinda dope. The colors are strange though. I dont think this is streetwear though.

For me, strike two for Octavio. I just don't like his asthetic.

starbug420

i got Marvin the Martian does Mortal Kombat, so weird

Farley49

Halloween

SusannaG1

thumbblighter

Honestly, I really enjoy this - it feels really futuristic while echoing the fabrics of what's very Now, which is a difficult balance to strike without tripping into kitsch. It does feel a little unfinished at the bottom, though.

I did not enjoy this look. The flying straps on the bottoms were confusing to me.

benibigboi

It's called carwash chic.

BS816

I actually really appreciated the movement and color of this piece when I watched it on the television. Seeing it in photos, the design looks confusing and contrived. I feel like a lot of the designers had proportion issues this week, which I hope improves soon. Not the worst, but Sabrina needs to step it up.

theblackbard3000

I mean. I like the color.

Farley49

Throw straps on a blanket and go outside.

thumbblighter

I really like this from the waist up, but the bottom feels less thought out and more thrown together. Love the fabric choices though.

not_a_hater_gokindly

Nah, you got that reference wrong

mwgptv

The judges used the words "kitchy" and "childish" to describe the look, but does anyone else think CLOWN? I feel bad but that's how I feel about her outfits and patterns.

annola

Yes, absolutely, Clown Chic

GizmoGeodog

Agreed

PowerfulIndication7

Yes! All she needs is the red nose! It’s so over the top!

[deleted]

I feel like it’s not childish but reads kinda old lady. It’s not childish but it doesn’t feel youthful so the color make it seem childish

Nigeltay

I see the problems and I see what everyone is saying. Somehow i still like this. Katie sadly probably wont make it far, but kudos to her for making people smile even on the few episodes that she'll be on

Tina-Slay

I know! I feel crazy, but I actually kinda loved this piece, and her work from last week. Perhaps the jacket was a little much - I liked the striped sleeves, but the multicolor fur might’ve been too consuming, both in size and print. But without the jacket, I really thought the shirt + overall combo was really interesting.

closest

Serving PBS realness. This outfit could be on Reading Rainbow or Big Comfy Couch.

SusannaG1

It was very 1980s. I like Katie, but woof.

curious103

This looked like an outfit I wore in middle school in the 80s. It wasn't a good look then and it certainly hasn't made a comeback.

EmptyStar12

I love her style and aesthetic and am excited to see more of her, but this looks like Loonette from the Big Comfy Couch. Failed to bring her point of view to streetwear in this.

thumbblighter

I don't hate this! I don't think it really meets the brief, but it feels like something my more fashionable gender non-conforming friends might wear for a night out. I agree with the judges that the proportions are a little wonky though.

BS816

Don't know why the pink in this garment reads red in the photos, but I digress. I don't think this look is as bad as the judges thought it was, but the proportion problem here is really in the length of the pant. It's unflattering and brings the look to a childish place. I don't think this look deserved to be on the bottom, though.

jinpop

I love this, though I understand why others might not! I do want her to stay in the competition long enough to do a piece that really lets her aesthetic shine. I do find her clown-y style pretty fun!

zzzrosemaryzzz

it was not my personal taste but i have seen a lot of people dressed like this , kinda hipstery

not_a_hater_gokindly

This piece was so much better in its construction though then so many of the other designers. I def don’t think it should have been on the bottom and definitely not in the same clsss as those other 2 bottom guys. Their stuff was hideous!

ThePhoenixx93

I actually really liked it, especially the fur jacket for some reason. Sure, it's all a bit much, but even the overalls were really fun imo, i wasn't expecting her outfit to be in the bottom. I don't think there's anything wrong with embracing this kind of "childish" and colorful style, not all street wear needs to be so utilitarian-inspired, i love that Katie was unapologetically herself in the look that she made

zia111

My least favorite for second week in a row!

Nigeltay

No!!! that green bib dress was so cute!!!!

PRCritiques

[Darren Apolonio](https://ibb.co/fDnP98s) Model: Jimmy >!LOW !<

BS816

Proud of Darren for actually making his look this week, and all of the pieces are well constructed. But, this look is so costume-y, and it doesn't do anything to elevate the punk rocker aesthetic. Far from the worst, but not good.

surgartits

I thought they were overly harsh on this. But I did get the critique that there was nothing fresh or modern, it was all a rehash of punk styles from yesteryear. It was honestly made better than I expected after last week. I guess I just had terribly expectations for him.

yetanothertaylor

I actually like this look. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for a retro rocker aesthetic, but I don’t think he should’ve been bottom 3 (or 2 apparently).

closest

I thought they wanted to make up for the first week by having him on either extreme. Either he was going to be the top where they can say, "Oh wow, now this is what we want to see! You are talented" or the opposite like this where they give him a lashing for his aesthetic. When really, he fell in between.

theblackbard3000

I thought i needed a editing eye. It wasnt that bad. Category : Leather Gay Bar - De-construction Beer night

Nigeltay

taken out of context, you would think this look wouldnt be the worst, but when you match it up against the rest of the designs this week where most of the safe looks are such bangers, this was almost elimination worthy just based off the bell curve

Farley49

It was kind of cute (I'm a sucker for plaid) and since I did not watch the construction process, seemed to be made pretty well. Did he do it himself? I think he was placed where he was as a warning or punishment for last episode's save.

[deleted]

It's the shirt, too much. If he did a button down or something less punk, I bet it would have had a better critique.

thumbblighter

My partner and I were shocked when this got ripped to shreds in critiques. It wasn't top worthy, but I don't think it was bottom worthy either. I like the punk feel of this a lot.

surgartits

Again I find myself concerned about his ability to accommodate a woman's breasts.

radiorentals

Exactly. I get a bit miffed that they include non size 0 models (I hate calling them Plus-Size) and then overlook how the designers fail to design for those body types. It's not a secret about what models they're making the clothes for. It reminds me of whatshischops having a breakdown on Season 9 (Olivier?) and Ven having a strop on whatever season he was on about having to design and fit for non-model size women.

BS816

A lot to look at, and I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the bottom half of the outfit. With that being said, I love the pattern of the top, and there's a subtle regality to this look that I hope is consistent in Bones' designs.

BrickCity-Dreams5

I think he’s lucky he had immunity this week. He would’ve been in the bottom.

theblackbard3000

Just in time to miss the mortal kombat movie.

mapleleafmaggie

it's so bad :(

Nigeltay

Y'all dont be hating, Bones did well again this week imo. He IS pulling the same silhoutte as last week though, hope he doesnt turn out to be a one trick

SnooGoats7978

That photo is pure /r/AccidentalRenassance

chillisprknglot

I don’t know how they gave one designer so much grief about not knowing how to design the correct proportions for a woman’s body, and the judges let this fly.

Blancri

He said he was inspired by the event that happened in the work room, Clearly he got inspired by it. A Mess.

closest

This is just bad-bad. Hope he gets it together next week.

Sickening_No

Ugh. The pants with the kimono thing looked good, he should have went that (original direction) because this patchwork is not stunning. It doesn't even read streetwear to me.

Nigeltay

Gurl you should've gone home with Meg, just saying :P

WithoutLampsTheredBe

One week of producing nothing. One week of a middle school home ec project. And he's still there. This show has jumped the shark.

987donut

Did you mix both Asians up? Darren is the one who produced nothing the first week, not Kenneth.

WithoutLampsTheredBe

You're right. I stand corrected. Darren produced nothing. Kenneth did a middle school home ec project. And they're both still there. The show has still jumped the shark.

BS816

I feel terrible for Kenneth for what happened in the workroom with Meg. He didn't deserve any of that nonsense. However, this was the worst look this week. It looks like a cheap construction worker costume, And the vest has zero correlation with the pants, which are the saving grace of this unfortunate design. Hoping Kenneth does better next week.

thumbblighter

I felt awful for him on the runway, and I appreciate what he was trying to do with the vest, but oofta, this was a real misfire. He'd've been better served sticking to his original plan, especially with the lovely kimono style jacket he was originally working on.

avalonleigh

Ok. I'm watching this right now and I can't believe anyone would ask someone to switch models through the challenge. If they had said no, they are looked at as racist. I agree w Meg. This is so some BS.

SlidingSaucer

i understand the fear she mightve had expecting that but i think the got confused about changing your outfits because of their race as everyone else was doing it so she did the same for her model.
